Team,

Me & my wife were holding medical insurance from horizon blue cross of blue sheild, for year 2015, through market place.

For 2016, we have enrolled new plans from same horison BCBS, through healthcare.gov before Dec 15 2015, to get coverage from Jan 1 2016.

Later I got to know, unfortunately my wife's new plan or any other information has not been updated & not activated in the horizon BCBS database, however my husband's new 2016 plan is updated & activated.

We are following for this issue, since Dec 23 2015 & still no update.

Healthcare.gov created an escalation case and they said it can take up to 30 days to fix this issue. My wife is pregnant now. I need to visit doctor ASAP.

Please advice, if healthcare.gov will fix the issue for sure?
Or does anyone faced the similar situation and got fixed?

Thanks,

I tried to change plans for the last five months going via MarketPlace. It is marketplace agent who completely misleads me in December. I succeeded in MP agent to petition on my behalf. Just received letters from Florida blue and marketplace catering that my petition was denied yet that my insurance membership was cancelled per my request. I never asked the marketplace agent and supervisor (yes. She was a supervisor as well, the one who petitioned on my behalf) it is extremely frustrating and worse in the case who needs urgent medical care. I share this so to advise anyone in the same situation to be absolutely cautious and to be completely methodical as far as MP. And even doing so, it still seems to me that the HMP does whatever it feels like doing and we, the consumers, are completely powerless. I am leaving the marketplace. But want to share my experience on as many forums and sites as I can. Good luck to you and your wife and congratulations.
