My parents have sold their house and currrently don't have a new permenant address in the UK to move to. They have tried to cancel the True-Telecom contract but have found that they are being charged over £1000 to do so. The original TT salesperson guaranteed that they would save money on their BT bill when they were signed up (which was total rubbish its costing a fortune) AND he wanted to know if they had ever been in business, yes they had (but 30 years before), which didn't seem to matter as they recommended the account was put in that name?
Does this sound familiar with anyone else? And has anyone any advice as we are on the phone to OfCom first thing in the morning.
Thanks
