My skin is absolutely terrible. I have monthy breakouts of cystic acne which is really painful and hard to hide. After trying almost every product you can buy without a prescription, I've had the most luck with products with Benzoyl Peroxide as the active ingredient. I feel like I really need something that dries my skin out before it clears up. Proactiv and Acne Free are the brands I buy the most.

My skin is dry sometimes and normal other times, I have some hyperpigmentation, some weird texture issues and sun damage but few wrinkles. Since I started buying medical products my skin has improved a lot. A friend that works in the industry recommended a few products and I think my skin is better than ever. The acids and retinol have made me get fewer zits and I feel that my skin recovers faster than it used too. Here is what I am using now, Revision Papaya Cleanser, Skinmedica Lumivive (expensive but oh so worth it), Revision Retinol, SkinCeuticals Glycolic 10 overnight, CeraVe and EltaMD sunscreens. I also have the Jan Marini system and use that too, some products from there I use everyday (sunscreen, moisturizer) some I use once in a while (BioClear, Cleanser). Skincare can be expensive but most products you really do not need a large amount so they do last a long time. Before buying skincare be sure to check the ingredients list and see if the ingredients you want are at the top or bottom of the list. Ignore the ones with ingredients at the bottom as they are not as effective. Even if they are cheap, spend the money on the ones with more active ingredients. Thats my 2 cents!

Mary Kay! I've been using their 3D time wise for over a year and MAN! Really sticking with this product and using it twice a day never fail has cleared me up so much. Not only has it gotten rid of all my acne my general tone is better dark spots are gone and my fine wrinkles have improved. Totally worth the expense. I found proactive too rough for my skin and I did use it for two years and it never really seem to help all it really did was stain all of my towels. I tried tons of other stuff masks charcoal you name it. I do like the Aztec healing clay. I do recommend that with apple cider vinegar for sure

Clarisonic has definitely improved the texture of my skin. Makes it very smooth. I use the sensitive skin brush with Dior foaming cleanser but any gentle cleanser would probably work too. Also clears up my skin. Excellent for removing makeup.
