“Adsense has been my BFF for over 3 years now”

Ronnie H.
7/24/16

I am frankly shocked to see negative reviews about adsense... It has been a God-Sent for me, and a healthy source of income as well. I can honestly say that in 3 1/2, almost 4 years, never once have I encountered an issue with ad serving, technical difficulties, or payments... they have been 100% on point, consistent, and by far the most lucrative of all of the "alternatives" (if you can call them that, as no ad network or affiliate network to date can hold a candle to Adsense revenue)... Don't put any stock in the negatives against Adsense... Based on what the ones I read on here say, it looks more like they either tried to get away with something and got caught or paid little or no attention to the guidelines, did whatever they wanted and actually believe that they aren't responsible for following rules the first time around if they never read them... ridiculous... bottom line, they all appear to have done things they are not supposed to do with an adsense account and got penalized for it, and are now mighty unhappy because AT BEST with the next best 3-4 networks COMBINED they're probably making 10-15% of what their Adsense Revenue generated alone for them... To end on a note of credibility, I'll give a specific example. Someone above whined that "All I got banned for was visiting my site and check a ad link" - Every part of that statement is something you're NOT supposed to do on Adsense... even after having gotten banned for precisely that, it didn't seem to sink in... There's a reason Adsense is so hard to get into, and is actually regulated once you're in... IT"S WORTH IT - don't let garbage producers like these morons deter you... Adsense is GOLD

“It's a scam”

AdSense is a scam! Google should be ashamed. They revoke your account for no reason just before they are supposed to make a payment so they don't have to pay you! How is this legal?! I hope someone one day sues them. I closed my AdSense account and I don't want anything to do with them ever again! Humanity everywhere is corrupted to the core. And the tech world is out of control. Humanity with the aid of technology is going to destroy itself much faster.

I made a lot of money using Adsense before. For many years, too. I had (and have) a high-quality (not "made for Adsense" site) and this always worked well for me. In the past year, however, my Adsense earnings dropped by 50%, despite everything else around me going up in price. Their ad system serves up $#*!ty, useless ads, and causes my RPM to be $#*!ty too... Horrible, horrible service these days. Seriously.

Just avoid this guys. It is better to serve your own ads or use related ads agencies. They have reduced human beings to robots.

An excerpt from google via email reads ''Please note that we may not be able to respond to enquiries regarding the specific reasons for our decision. Thank you for your understanding''

This is insane!

Tip for consumers:
You account can be blocked for no apparent reason

I have bought 4 products advertised on ADSENSE till now. 1) adjusting specs, 2) adhesive tape, 3) vegitable cutter, 4th I don't remember. All 4 had to be thrown in the garbage bin as the manufacturers don't respond to refund & the products just can't be used. They show v good quality products, maybe made in U.S. OR Europe & sell horribly low quality Chinese products which are for children to play with. *ADSENSE is an IDEAL PLACE TO CHEAT PEOPLE*.

Tip for consumers:
I will never buy any more products looking at ADSENSE adds. & I hope no one else buys them too as it's filled with fraud items.

Products used:
No products advertised in ADSENSE all products I bought were bogus & fraud.

I use adsense since late 2021. My income is growing so fast since I use adsense when my website is already have thousand of member and low churn rate. Never click my own ads and always following guidelines, but google suddendly suspend my account permanently without any notice. I lost all my adsense income and google is not paying the remaining balance.

Tip for consumers:
Better use another ad network.

I was working with AdMob almost 8 years until Adsense terminated my account for invalid activity. There was no explanation of the reason. I've sent one appeal and after almost 1 month of silence the second, and both were rejected. I had not clicked on ads, and 7 years all was OK! No signs of trouble.
I want to believe that it was not a deliberate sanction for content that the company dislikes for other reasons.
The worst technical support of Adsense does not allow talking with any living human, only robots and links to common questions are presented.
I think Google became as Frankenstein, plays too much with machine learning and robots made them unstable and unreliable.

EDIT:
After one year after blocking I've send my 3rd appeal and it was having a success: Google was unlocked my AdSense account right in Christmas. After reviewing reasons I found that I have had missed a notification in the AdMob console about certain applications, all is working after little fixes.

P.S.
You should be VERY careful in complying terms and conditions and aware about all notifications you receive in all the corresponding consoles.

I had Adsense on my site for over a year and was slowly accruing money (not a lot but some). Then, with no change to my site, they suddenly declared me in policy violation and deactivated my account - which means that I can't even access the records of the money I made, let alone the money itself. There's no way to appeal or even to find out why they suddenly changed their minds (literally, nothing changed, so how could it be fine and then a policy violation with no change?). They should at least have to give me the money I earned, but from what I can see in "Community" (the only real option for finding out what happened), they give the money back to the advertisers. Why? I kept up my end of the bargain!

Google Adsense operates a "scheme" whereby they make it impossible to recover funds owed to a company/individual from dormant adsense accounts. Since 2017, my company has received notices from Price Waterhouse Cooper, accountants for Google Adsense, advising of unclaimed funds held by Google. When an attempt to contact Google is made, the company responds with instructions that require logging into the dormant account. However, they block the account due to "inactivity" and make it inaccessible. Contacting them again in any way only resets the time requirement that unclaimed property be escheated to the State within 3 years. Google has created a scheme where they create a vicious circle to avoid payment of funds owing on dormant accounts. I have contacted the SOS and have been advised that they have had numerous complaints similar to mine. They also do nothing to help resolve issues involving Unclaimed Property. Google Adsense has no phone number that allows one to speak to a human being. They also ignore written communications.

I have lot of Ad's on many different web pages, not to make money but just track visits and possible clicks. Most of people hate google Ads and never click on those! Only those pages that trick customers into clicking those. I also noticed right before $100 the not adding any revenue! Even I sometimes get clicks.

Google got to powerful and lazy and should be broken up by the Gov!

I read so many reviews saying AdSense
Would shut down my account before I ever saw a dime and sure enough,
Right before the $100 threshold, my account was disabled for "invalid
Activity." Here is the information they were able to provide me about
This activity:"We are limited in the amount of information we can provide about your specific violation. We understand that you may want more information about your account activity. However, in order to protect our proprietary detection systems, we are unable to provide further details."I appealed, and they politely told me no, my account was permanently shut down. At no point was there any explanation of the nature of this mysterious invalid activity. My site is a modest one with no purchased traffic, partnerships with other sites, or even any other ads previously than AdSense. What is more likely, that there was something that warranted shutting down my account, or that Google is profiting off of publishers by taking the revenue from advertisers and pocketing it before the hosts of those ads ever get their fair compensation?

Adsense competitive ad filter is terrible - The Adsense competitive ad filter is honestly a piece of crap product that Google should be ashamed of.

It works like this: when adsense shows ads which are either competitive or irrelevant to your site (which happens all the time) you can put them into the Adsense competitive ad filter so Google will stop displaying them. Sounds good in principle, but in practice it is terrible.

Firstly, the only way to input the URLs of the ads it to download a clumsy program called AdSense Preview Tool which only works for IE. That tool outputs the URLs of the ads.

Secondly you have to cut and paste those ads into the Competitive Ad Filter. Fine, but for some reason the Competitive Ad Filter only takes 64 character URLs - but almost ALL of the stupid URLs are over 64 characters! So you have to manually delete all the extra characters.

Thirdly, you have to wait at least a couple hours to see if it works. And it only works about 75% of the time! And now I have so many blocked competitors, I never know whether I'm adding a site that has already be blocked or not and I have to go back and delete the duplicates.

Basically, Google either doesn't want you to use the Competitive Ad Filter or did a terrible job of designing it.

You might as well give advertising space away for free. It slows down your site and they pay VERY poorly. Waste of time.

AdSense is a scam, and Google should be ashamed to host it. They revoke your account for your political views, and they refuse to pay you the money you earned from it. I just don't even see how this is legal.

And for nothin. They just sent me bunch of bull$#*! reasons of what might have been wrong. It'; s funny as they removed adsense in a day I started getting more and more visitors. I guess they were afraid they'll have to pay me something.

I am agree with the words of Spider B. Google also blocked my adsense account in 2011 even when i never visited my own ads. A blog post published over thenextweb.com is also showing the fact: http://thenextweb.com/google/2014/04/29/google-denies-alleged-leak-claiming-adsense-stealing-money-publishers-calls-complete-fiction/

Well I am somewhat amazed that someone in the Google Organization would say this. " We feel you have violated our terms and we have discontinued your account". I asked for a review and they still said the same thing. Fact is I don't think I have ever clicked on any ads from google on any of my pages. Ya know the funny thing about this is not even one day passed when I started getting mails from some dude who apparently knew the situation as they offered me a program similar to googl'es. I wonder if google management knows what really goes on. Basically I want to Rate there method of review ie. They should show some proof before they cancel a account.
Respects,
Spider B

NOTE: Review has some harsh words in it.

This is a piece of crap like the other guy said, Google should be ashamed of it.
Putting it beside youtube videos is bad, putting it IN youtube videos that is $#*!ed! Last thing I need is to be reading crappy advertisements while I'm trying to watch a video...
