The information this company gives in their compatibility lists is WRONG. And first now I see, that this ignorance has been going on for years. PSU will not work as listed. Do not assume the information they provide is correct. It is not blissful ignorance, it is pure incompetence.

Stay away from this company if you have a Dell computer.

I first contacted ATXPowerSupplies.com in February 2013 to get an upgraded power supply for my Compaq Presario SR1910NX. Their web site has great advertising and promptly pushed me to select the 630 Watt power supply. I ordered and paid for the unit. They emailed me that it was on the way. I got a completely different power supply that had connectors that didn't match my PC. I contacted them, got an RMA, paid for return shipping and they sent me the power supply that I originally wanted about 10 days later. It is now late December 2013 and that power supply is still working without any problems. Initially I was an unhappy customer but they finally got my order right and I'm happy about the choice of the 630 Watt power supply now.

Payed 50$ even tho it said 0.71$. No wonder sites like this die out, when they try to compete with Amazon like this.

DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
ATX, if you're going to offer replacement power supplies, then make sure to look at manufacturer computer cases and find out if what you recommend will actually fit. I have 3 Dell OptiPlex GX260's with same computer case (shell) and the replacement power supply you sent me will not fit, the power connection isn't even on the correct side and will be covered up with computer case. See attached pics, 1st photo shows original power supply on the left, replacement you sent me on the right, 2nd pic shows how power connection on replacement power supply would be covered by computer case. I can't flip it or place it upside down as you recommended, even after I sent you pics you still can't see the issue I'm dealing with. The actual replacement that your website is out of inventory on would have been a proper fit. After discussing this with Lisa multiple times, not only did she take days to respond or didn't respond, I had to call her to follow up and really didn't do anything for me. I finally just gave up and asked for a refund, then she tells me I have to pay for return shipping (which, ok I can do that) but then she tells me I'll have to pay a 20% restocking fee! Are you kidding me? Why do I have to deal with a restocking fee on a unit you sent me as YOUR recommendation for my computer? I can understand policy, but there are times when customer relations is more important than policy! It's beyond me that you don't see an issue with your handling of this. It was not my mistake that I selected the wrong power supply, it's what YOU sent me, and you said it would work, that wasn't my mistake but yours. For sure, mistakes happen, but it's how you correct it that matters! Lisa was totally unapologetic and refused to see things from a customers perspective. If anyone reads my lengthy comment, don't buy from these folks unless you're absolutely sure their recommendations will work for you because they really don't care whether they do or don't!

Called/emailed when a power supply that arrived defective/DOA. Simple asked them to pay return shipping since defect is not my fault. They flatly refused and threatened me with a lawsuit if I wrote a bad review.

I am in IT buisness and end up buying another power supply elsewhere for more money.

I won't do buisness with them again and recommended you use a major credit card with themy instead of PayPal, so if you have an issue like mine, then your card company can complete a chargeback.

This could easily have been a five star review, given the great product selection and fair prices. But two power supplies later, one packed by Dumb and the next packed by Dumber, after I specifically requested that they pay attention to padding the component on all sides because I know of the rough treatment small boxes get in shipping, and I'll warn everyone to stay away. The first ps was in the manufacturer's box, crammed in a long flat USPS Priority box, no padding. The second ps lacked the maker's box, sat bare, on the bottom of a small square Priority Mail box with all the padding on top. Come on, dudes! You're shipping sensitive electronic components! By the way, the first ps sent did not match the specs listed for that model on the website, an experience many other buyers have had. Fortunately, the second ps works... but it hasn't even been running for two hours while I post this review. Sorry, guys. I'm really disappointed.

Power supply arrived poorly packaged and dented. It had the wrong pin-out for my computer although their website says it is compatible. Installed and it did not work. I asked for and got a refund but they charged me a 20% restocking fee. STAY AWAY! Bad customer service and no idea what they are selling.

Worst retail experience I've ever had. I ordered a specialized PSU for my Dell, based on the item description on the website, as well as their compatibility list. When it arrived, it didn't have even half of the described connectors, including the correct ATX connector to hook up to my motherboard, and on top of that, it's "custom" mounting plate was a poorly cut piece of metal that was falling off before I even opened the box.

I sent it back to them for a replacement, at full shipping cost to myself, and they sent me the same item with a bunch of adapters. When I tried connecting it to my computer, it didn't even work! I sent it back again, asking for a refund, and they responded by telling me that it worked for them and that it was too late to get my money back. When I looked at their return policies on the website, I saw that not only is there a mere one month limit on returns, they consider all of their products sold "as is" (no mention of this anywhere else on the site), take no responsibility for defects or features not as advertised, and say that the item descriptions are only the "opinion of the author".

Granted, they did more for me than their website claimed they would, but I'm still out about $80 with nothing to show for it, and the customer service was absolutely ridiculous (I could never get ahold of them by phone, and my emails were occasionally responded to). Overall an extremely frustrating experience.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Power supply came with screws stripped and very poor fit. Tried to contact Customer service several times and they will not respond. I wish I had read their return policy prior to purchase, it is obvious they do not care about the customer. They charge restocking fees, etc even when it is THEIR fault. Extremely dissatified!

I wasn't going to leave a review, but when I noticed this company gets 1 negative review per year on average I couldn't help but come in here and write a positive one. I placed a phone order. Their staff was knowledgeable. My order arrived quick, and worked fine in my Dell Optiplex. I couldn't ask for more.

I called to verify that they had a particular model power supply in stock, which they confirmed. Ordered it but got a different model which they say is an upgrade from the one I ordered. Maybe, but it had different physical dimensions and was not suitable for my situation, that's why I called to verify they had the one I wanted to begin with. They took it back alright but BEWARE, this is a home based business and they only gave me a $32 credit for a $40 power supply. So I guess I'm paying for them to send it back to their distributor as well as to me and back to them. In all that came out to about $35 shipping! Doing the calculations I'd been better of to have kept the PS and sold it on Ebay and saved the all the extra shipping.

In July of 2013 we had a misfortune purchasing a power supply from ATXPowerSupplies. This power supply was supposedly compatible with our HP Business Desktop dx5150, but did not align with the openings in the computer enclosure rendering it useless. Furthermore, the power supply had clear scratches, while Mr. Thompson insisted it was brand new and refused issuing a refund for the incorrectly listed item. Only after we escalated the case with PayPal he agreed to a refund, but refused to pay for the return shipment. When we contacted PayPal customer care explaining the situation we were advised PayPal cannot enforce its sellers to pay for return shipments even in a case like ours when they clearly should be responsible for misleading product description causing us to purchase the wrong item. PayPal customer care, however, agreed reimbursing us for the shipment and suggested to describe our case in seller reviews so other potential buyers are forewarned. This is exactly what we did. On July 23 we published an honest and truthful seller review at http://www.bizrate-partner.com/ratings_guide/cust_review_detail__mid--*******__review_id--*******.html sharing our buying experience with ATXPowerSupplies. To our big surprise, instead of apologizing for his behavior, Mr. Thompson decided to call me leaving threatening messages promising "to take actions for slandering his good name all over the Internet". Then, he decided to rebuttal our Bizrate review by suggesting we are his competitors. Obviously, this is the most ridiculous and deceitful excuse one could've come up with.

I ordered a power supply from ATX Power Supplies, and installed it. It worked beautifully for precisely 30 days (which says to me I installed it properly), which coincidentally is the period during which they will accept returns. After precisely 30 days (no kidding, 30 days exactly after I placed my order), it exploded. It didn't stop working, it exploded. Pop- Fire- Explosion. In my bedroom. I'm glad I was home at the time.

I was told I couldn't return it beyond the 30 day mark, but could exchange it, plus pay them a 20% restocking fee. This is not a valid option, as theres no way I'd buy another power supply from a company that sent me one that exploded. My previous power supply of the exact same model lasted 4 years and didn't explode when it died.

I purchased a power supply from ATX on Feb. 5th for a Shuttle computer. Product number PC*******. I received the power supply, installed it, and fired up my computer. It failed within 2 to 3 minutes.

I then contacted ATX about what had happened and was told to return the power supply which I did. ATX tested it, found it to be dead and sent me a new power supply with the words " Tested before shipped!" printed on the shipping label with a pen. I received the power supply with high hopes of getting our computer up and running after a couple of weeks without it. The computer would light up and the fans would run when I pushed the power button, but the computer would not start to fire up. By this I mean that no signal to the monitor, no lights to the keyboard, no lights on the cd
Drive like it used to do, I could not shut off the computer using the power switch. I had to unplug it to turn it off. I started to think that something was wrong with the power supply so I checked to see if the voltage was correct and present to the hard drive and the cd drive. It was.

So then I thought maybe it is the mother board because of the symptoms. I unhooked all the accessories to eliminate any add ons. The computer would not do anything but run the fans and light up the lights on the front of the pc. I still could not shut the unit off with the power switch, I had to unplug it.

I then decided that it must be the mother board when it will not compute. I kept looking at the printing on the power supply shipping box that said " Tested before shipped!" I then tracked down a new mother board directly from Shuttle. Waited for shipment. Received it. Installed the mother board. Excitement to finally get our computer back. It is now the 20th of March. I pushed the power button and... Nothing! It acted the same! Exactly the same! No signal to the monitor or the keyboard. I still had to unplug it to turn it off!

What do I try now?

My brother had an old computer at his house. I asked him if I could look at the power supply in it to see if it had the same plug connectors that mine did. They where the same so just for testing reasons, I hooked it up to my PC. Pushed the power button and it fired right up! So now I am sending this Email from my Shuttle computer with a Dell power supply powering it. After almost 2 months of down time on our computer that we use out of our home for business, coaching emails, and personal, I findout that if the package says " Tested before shipped!" on the label, do not believe it 100%.

I have tried to leave messages on the phone without return. I cannot get through just calling.

After receiving 2 defective units, I would like to return this item in the package that it was sent to me in and get a full refund on the cost of the power supply.

RESPONSE: I am sorry, but we have sent two good power supplies only now to hear that they are both blown up. We sell hundreds of these, and this is the first time we have ever had somebody claim that two in a row have blown up.

I know the girl that tests the power supplies before she sends them. If she wrote a note saying that she tested it, then there is a 100% chance that it was tested and good.
I am sorry, but per out policy we are unable to allow the return of the unit for 2 reasons.

1.) We have already sent out the maximum 1 exchange.
2.) It is well past the 30 day return deadline.

MY REPLY: The second power supply did not blow up. It simply did not let the computer power up. I went with the assumption that this power supply was good,. And that something had happened to my motherboard. As I mentioned, the lights on the front off my computer would light up and the fans would run, but nothing else would happen. I could not even power down the unit with the power button. I had to physically pull the cord out.

So for that reason along with the Tested before shipped note, I decided the only other thing it could be is the motherboard.

The reason for the past 30 days policy deadline was for 2 reasons;
First was the wait for the motherboard and its failure to fix my problem.
Second reason was that I tried to call numerous times to the phone number listed on your web site only to hear that you are unavailable at this time & your regular hours of business. I tried for 3 days, multiple times each day with the same results. Your answering machine would not even let me leave a message or even get my name on there before the beep would sound cutting off the message.

My family and I left on Easter vacation on the 3rd of April & just returned to receive this email saying that you cannot help me out with my return of this item. I fell that if parts from a used computer fired up my PC then it would be assumed that a new unit would do so. I believe that your testing person there is a good employee. Is it at all possible that the test done on this unit could have missed a problem?

I would not have missed this 30 day deadline if I would not have thought this unit to be OK, or if I could have gotten thru on your phone line.

I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY! STILL NO REFUND!

I wanted to upgrade the power supply in my old Acer computer. I went to ATXPowerSupplies.com and I was not able to get a match using their power supply cross reference tool. I then contacted the company via e-mail and after sending them some pictures of my computer they suggested the power supply I needed. I ordered it and received it in 2 days. It was a perfect fit.
