Strange marketing strategy. Other than that overall very good. Responsive/friendly/attentive and cheaper than many. Published 5 with them. They offer lots of interesting outreach options. Bookstubs/business cards/website etc Supportive of your creative ideas and offer lots of ideas also. They contact me through every process of publishing your book (I rarely need to call them). They care and genuinely interested in giving you your best experience. Thanks Authorhouse
Absolutely horrible customer service! I self-published through this company 6 years ago and still have not received the royalty payment. Every time a royalty payment is due they always give me the runaround as to why I cannot receive it! The only calls I ever get is to invest more money with the marketing department... Please read all the one star reviews online before making your decision.
Quality Publisher of Books like Workable Words: Deep Words For Simple Living and other books. They are helpful and patient in their help of a new publisher. They also offer good offers for publishing packages. They are a good place to publish a book but make sure they tell you about the price one must pay for editing and book reviews in advance as well for advertising one's book. They are still excellent in that one has rights over one's work unlike with other publishing companies where one may lose those rights.
I have been looking to get my book published for a long time now and have not been able to get many major publishers to pick it up. Getting your book published online is very difficult. I came across authorhouse and looked into this website. I found reviews all over the internet on how You pay to have your book published. And then, you get nothing back in return. Many people have published their books using authorhouse, and they were told they were earning nothing because their book wasn't selling. However, their book was selling all over the place, and they were receiving no money. Scary as hell to me. Not sure if I should risk it with them after reading other reviews. If anyone here has any opinions I would also like to know.
