Just wanted to say thanks for a pleasant experience. My little Sumatran arrived on time, packaged very well and appears very healthy. No nibbled fingers or toes, alert and active. Time will tell if he/she remains healthy but big apple definitely delivered as promised. Would 10000% do business with them again. Thank you for a quick and painless experience

Ordered a snake on Thursday, received an email stating the snake would not be shipped till Monday. At 5:04 on Thursday I received and email showing my snake was sent with a tracking number from FedEx. I checked the tracking number show it was going to the wrong state Texas, I live in Indiana. I checked my order and confirmed it had the right shipping address. I immediately texted pictures and informed them of the situation. Received NO Response back…. Watch out scam alert…

Terrible customer service. Non existent really. Sent wrong snake then refuse to refund, offered to exchange so long as I sent it back urgent overnight on my own dime- even after admitting the wrong one was sent!

I bought a colored Amazon tree boa and they sent me a cheaper garden phase after I sent pictures they claimed it wasn't and blocked me pretty much no customer service they won't chat text or email me after 10 days what's considered a garden phase or dull colors brown grays black and other what they sent is light brown when I was told I would get a yellow black and I messaged before I ordered and they still screwed me over first pic is what I ordered second is what I got

Paid almost $90 for a baby bearded dragon, they aren't specific or let you know in anyway what the age of the baby is. By the size I'd say a few weeks. Again I have no choice but to guess. And the 4or 5 categories to choose from... one picture of a dragon that's obviously not anything like what I got... didn't have my hopes up too high anyways. But if a category says high colored and see the example is a yellow dragon Don't Send Them A BROWN dragon that looks nothing like the picture, like it's from petsmart... dude the ones at persmart have more color on them then this little guy. Ima love and take care of it regardless of its color, but i was given options and paid for something i picked out and did not get that, so its a little disappointing. I have a grown hypo citrus dragon. So there's a big difference here. They need to work on their website. It's just not going to bring them business. The baby seems healthy. Eating good and is responsive and active. I had alot of issues with my order pending for several days. And not being approved until I called them personally to ask what the deal was even though the amount was taken out my bank as if it was a done deal. I hope they can take this as positive criticism to better their work. Thank you for my new dragon friend, he will be in a great home.

Place is horrible! Sick gecko bad customer service. I mean you Steven. Animal ended up dead 1 week later. They said my pictures are blurry. It's got a bruise on its back, respiratory infection, mouth rot, and for some reason it never runs from me and won't focus on anything. Cause it's blind Steven, it's blind! Booooo! Your moms not proud of you Steven! Cause you make money off of sick lizards that gasp for air every 20 seconds Steven

Got a pied ball python today. Only has one white band close to tail. It's 95% color. Very disappointed. Won't be ordering from them again. The packaging of the snake was great. One thing they should do is let customers know what they've been feeding the animal. I thought it would have at least 2 bands... According to other pictures of people who ordered the same snake it had several bands on it.

I got a dead leopard gecko from them and I sent them the video of how I carefully opened the delivery bow. After waiting for three days they finally told me it's my fault to its death because I sprayed very little alcohol to disinfect the FedEx box before I opened it? I can't believe it because they told me they didn't understand COVID and said no research shows any surfaces or objects can carry COVID virus. Even if they told me the weather was too cold to ship it at first, I won't be so angry. I'm very disappointed, bad customer service!

Ordered a 7 to 10 inch red bearded dragon from this company. Received it it was pretty much dead upon arrival. It was nothing like I ordered or was in the picture that I thought I was getting and still don't know what they're gonna do about it. I paid almost $200 to get some thing that I could've got at my local pet shop if that's what I want it. But that's why I ordered it off this website and now I'm regretting doing that. I don't suggest purchasing any animals from this company in my opinion. I would risk it.

Bought 4 bearded dragons from these guys and the first 3 bearded dragons were correct but the last one I bought was a super red leatherback. But really sent me a super red normal scale. Just wanted what I ordered but the guys at big apple herp says it's a leatherback what do you guy think, so far everyone I've talked to says normal scale. All I'm saying is if your going to sale something make sure it's the right product to make your customer happy

All I’m saying just make sure they give you the right product like I said ive bought 4 total dragons from them and the 3 were perfect but the last one I bought isn’t what I purchase all I wanted was exchange for what I bought

Was skeptical about ordering a snake on line. But I couldn't find the okeetee corn snake anywhere local. I found one online here at big apple. I made my purchase and was glad I did. They were very helpful and replied quickly while asking questions before I made my purchase. The snake arrived alive and well. He's everything I wanted. Packaged safe and secure as well.

We got 2 columbian red tail boas and only one of them came in good health. But the other one came really skinny didn't eat. The one who was skinny died and there went $200 dollars. I told them about it and they didn't care. The little boas didn't eat within 3 weeks of having them. They came with the umbilical cords and that's when I knew they didn't feed them before getting sent out to me. So I would stay away from ordering from them.

Don’t order from this site. They don’t care about them once they get to you.

I bought a savannah monitor for my 11 year old son. It was his first reptile pet. Monitor arrived alive but skinny. I have owned many reptiles including monitor lizards. This monitor would not eat, we tried pinkies, fuzzies, crickets, mealworms and nothing. Two weeks later my son checked on it and it was dead. Very unhappy. My guess is it was not captive bred and they probably did not make sure it would eat before selling it.

These jerks will charge your debit card, and then cancel your order for the most Ridiculous reasons. Then, claim they didn't do anything. They're arrogant, ignorant and shady. Worst buying experience I've ever had! They flat out SUCK.

Make sure you avoid these idiots, and find a more reputable business.

Scorpion I tried to buy was an Israeli gold, $50.00+ $49.00 for shipping and then after my order was cancelled, and my bank charged 100 bucks, they tried to get me to purchase with Venmo for 109.00.

I wrote them when i recieved 2x bearded dragons one was tan and the other was black and sickly after 2cdays it died they won't even answer me I had just lost a 10yr bearded and they sent me something else to morn

There wasn't even any wholes in the box the you taking a chance purchasing from a company that says it's been in business for probably is children and grand children running the place you can't stay in business that many years with the kind of service I got

These guys are GREAT! Steven, one of the employees, tirelessly spent two hours assisting me in getting my credit card info straightened out so that my order could be processed. Back and forth in emails and texts he continued until we got it right. I couldn't be any more happier. My order arrived at the specified time safe and healthy. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the customer service. I wish every business operated in this manner. Such a rare quality to find these days. Thank you again guys. They not only sent the wrong lizard, i had to take 5 pictures and keeo taking the new lizards out, stressing them out so bad, to take more pictures. Customer service is so rude. They are keyboard warriors and sends you a random gecko no matter what you order. Refused to refund because I wouldnt take my leos out to take yet another picture of this mystery gecko. I am talking sitting on top of the box, lid off, very scared. I dropped one and now it has an awful spot on it. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Petsmart sells rabdom geckos for $20-30 that look much better than these.

Ordered a baby/young Indonesian Halmahera blue tongue skink and received it less than 12 hours later. Healthy, happy, very active skink now named Zilla. I'm very dissapointed with the customer service at this place. The lack of professionalism is crazy. I was considering buying a skink from them and unfortunately will not be doing so after my very short and unexpectedly rude conversation with them. I'm pointing out that on their website they give a contact number for questions, as well as a posted statement saying "before you buy anywhere else text us for a better price". I didn't even ask for a "better price" I asked if they price match and if I could potentially pick out my skink from the ones available. This was my very unprofessional response I received. (Look at screenshot below) I was taken back. If the response was professional and kind, I would have went ahead with the purchase anyways, and bought one from them. But now I'll be sure to steer clear, I'll be recommending people do the same as well. Buying a new pet should be fun and from a source that is professional and happy to help. This is not that place.

ETA- after the snake died, we were able to actually measure it. It was a total 31 inches long. I gave a review on multiple websites for this awful company - one being better business bureau- the company actually went back and forth in comments to me and even had the nerve to say my NINE year old son and i just try to scam reptile dealers! Disgusting company, even worse customer service. I highly suggest purchasing absolutely nothing from this company or any company associated with them. I added a phot of the deceased snake :( it was belly up, but i couldnt bare my child accidently seeing her thar way, since he checked on her every morning when he woke up.

I highly recommend purchasing from anywhere else. I purchased a baby ball python. They took the payment out of my account immediately, but sent absolutely no confirmation on my order. Shipping was fast but that was the only positive thing that came along with this order. The company states florida, but the snake was shipped from texas. The snake was between 18-19 inches long. Nothing like the video "of a comparable snake" we would receive. There was zero information in the box. Not approximate age or the last time she was fed. Also, no information on if she had been given live or frozen mice. The Only way at all to "talk" to someone from the company is to text them. Emails are all automated and just tell you to text them anyway, so don't bother sending an email. I texted them the day after we received our order, and asked approx. Age, when is the last time she was fed, and if she had been given frozen or live mice to eat previously. They responded to wait 48-72 hrs to try and feed. Also that they eat fuzzy mice. We waited the 48 hrs, she wouldn't eat. We tried again after the 72 hours, still nothing. Her cage had two hides, one warm and one cool. She had a water dish. Her cage was set up great, but sadly i woke up this morning and she was dead. We hadn't even had her for one week. Please do not order from them. They do not get back to you in a timely manner, if at all. For live reptiles, you must report any issues withing 3 days. If you choose to order from them, keep everything your reptile was sent in along with the shipping label. Then send it right back. I am so upset, and so is my son who was really excited about our new snake that died within a week. Awful.

I ordered an adult male European Pond Turtle that was confirmed via email to be available. I received an adult female today and took a photo of the cloaca / tail that is proximal to the plastron. Males have a distinctively larger, muscular tail with the cloaca closer to the distal third of the tail to facilitate mating. Despite the picture, they insisted it was a male and that their "guy with 22 years experience" says it is. "We appreciate your understanding the complexity that often goes with identifying the sex of many animals." Perhaps he thought the turtle identified as male. They also cited their proviso that "sexing" of turtles is not guaranteed. Well they advertised this as an adult male for sale. This "male" turtle is also gravid with eggs that can be palpated.

Update: The turtle in question was found dead in my pond 3 days after delivery. Cause is unknown. I dissected the turtle and found eggs and ovaries confirming the gender of the turtle.

Just writing on here to review the trash company that is bigappleherp. Steven the owner is a little cry baby and sells unhealthy reptiles. If anyone sees this post I would recommend you purchase from anywhere else. Underground reptiles and imperial reptiles are good places to get reptiles as they sell as promised and don't try to bs. Might I mention as well steven the owner molested me and needs to be arrested? He's the equivalent of Michael Vick to reptiles in that he doesn't care about the health of animals and abuses them.
