Bloomist

I ordered a planter, stand, and tray from Bloomist in early November, but when I received my initial shipment it turned out that they had only sent me the stand and tray, not the planter. I reached out to them immediately, thinking it had been a simple shipping error, only to learn that the item I'd ordered and paid for was actually out of stock.

Obviously this was frustrating, especially since I'd upsized my order because the smaller size I'd wanted was out of stock but I didn't want to wait. In fairness, the ceramic tray and iron stand I ordered seem very nice, but without the actual planter they're less than worthless to me. I was offered a refund, but since the customer service rep said that they'd have the planters back in stock within a couple of weeks, I decided to simply bite the bullet and wait.

Three months and many emails later, I just noticed today that the planter size I ordered is back in stock on the website—and I still haven't been sent the one I've already paid for. If it weren't for the fact that it'd be a pain to return the stand and tray I was shipped, I would have cancelled this order long ago. The products are very attractive, but that doesn't matter if you never receive them.

I purchased beautiul, dried plant stems from Bloomist.com called Lunaria (also called money plant or silver dollar plant.). I have grown them and dried them before, but I currently do not live in an area that will grow the plant so I looked online and found them at Bloomist.com. The shipping was reasonable, the package arrived within a reasonable time, and it was packaged pretty well. However, I never received notifications as promised. When I gingerly lifted the plant stems out of the box was all in a huge clump. It appeared to me as if the stems were dried in a huge bunch upside down, so it was all entangled ater it was dried. Lunaria is quite delicate after it is dried, so many of the "dollar" leaves broke off as I very gentlly tried to pull them apart. Plus, all the stems had the dried silver dollar leaves pointing up in a big clump as if it had been hanging upside down! I read the reviews of theth is plant on their website and one review had included photos and it was beautiful. Extended branches and lovely silver dollar leaves gracefuflly unfolding... nothing like what I received. I looked on Bloomist.com for a review optioin and could not find one. I even called them during office hours and got a machine. So much for customer service.

I ordered 14 hand thrown flower pots, and an incense holder... all as beautiful as what is depicted on their website. In fact, I came across the bad review because I just Googled them to place a new order. I was shocked.

Customer service was wonderful when I switched my large flower pot order from a version that was on back order, to a style that was immediately available. My PayPal account for the original order was instantly refunded. I received my new order very quickly with constant shopping updates, and everything(huge boxes) was packed perfectly and arrived safely. This is a new business with a lot of heart and I would hate to see them lose ANY business to a bad review.
