Bill Warren at Boomer Benefits is awesome! I was so overwhelmed and intimidated about getting signed up for Medicare and all that goes with it so I kept putting it off. A co-worker suggested I contact Boomer Benefits as she had a very good experience with them. I am so greatful for her suggestion. Bill Warren is the agent assigned to me. He was very patient and professional yet I felt like I was talking to a friend. Within just a few minutes he totally put me at ease and helped me through the process. I am very confident that he helped me choose what is absolutely best for me. I highly recommend Boomer Benefits and Bill Warren.
The agent that I had pushed 3 insurance companies that were too high for me. He then asked me four separate times about pursuing an Advantage plan, which I declined, and I told him why. I explained my financial situation to him and once again he pushed one of the original plans he had suggested earlier. His words were "its only $54.00 than what you're paying now". By this time I was getting upset. I then asked him about a Part D plan and if he could help, to which he replied "no, I can only help you if you purchase an insurance plan from us." Such poor customer service.

Regrettably, the rep was impatient and overwhelming as well as overwhelmed. She shared that her house had just burned down and that she came in anyway to help clients. I asked her to slow down to allow me to ask any questions. It was all new to me, and her information delivery was an uninterruptible quick monologue. My prior rep was gone due to an emergency. Not a good choice if you need patient reps.
Trevor Geer at Boomer Benefits worked diligently on getting a billing problem resolved with my insurance carrier. Trevor stayed in touch with me throughout, providing updates during the process. Trevor worked all sides of the issue and was successful in getting me a great outcome. His communication is greatly appreciated and eased my concerns. I would not have gotten the desired outcome without Trevor's help.
I had a bill from our local EMS provider where I was being billed an outstanding amount due. I knew this wasn't correct because Medicare pays EMS services, but after several phone calls to the billing department I continued to receive a bill. So frustrating! I called Boomer Benefits and the delightful Ruth Oekerman, claims specialist, heard my problem, assured me she had my back, took it from there, and very quickly had my claim problem resolved, with confirmation of a zero balance due and assurances that no more bills would be coming to me from EMS. Ruth was the consummate professional in all of my discussions with her. She was knowledgeable and clear about the steps she would take. And most importantly, she followed through. I can't say enough about the outstanding service she provided, and that I have always received from Boomer Benefits. Thank you Ruth! You are simply the best!

I reached out to Boomer Benefits to assist me with the transition to Medicare. I was connected with Catherine; she seemed knowledgeable. However, it quickly went left. When I requested confirmation of our phone call appointment she didn't even know my name. She dismissed it as a typo and being overworked and tired. Second, she told me that in N. J. there's no "buy back" plan via Medicare part B in New Jersey. Again, that's not true. Boomer's Benefits is about gaining clientele. They're not about customer service.
Kendra G did a great job helping my wife and me figure out the best Medicare supplemental plans for us. She was thorough in her work and helped us find the best plans to meet our needs. We are very satisfied with her work and the services provided by Boomer Benefits.

I contacted Angela Kuykendall at Boomer Benefits when I received a substantial premium increase for the upcoming renewal of my Medigap plan. Not only was she professional, efficient, personable and "fabulous" every time I spoke with her, she found another company that saved me $41.00 per month! She walked me through the new application process and once approved, got on the phone with the company I was dropping to help cancel that policy. In this confusing Medicare world, Angela made it seamless! I highly recommend Boomer Benefits!
I had an excellent experience using Boomer Benefits in getting signed up for Medicare. Jacob Chesney gave me invaluable help with choosing the appropriate supplemental plan and Wendy Hernandez was great at helping me get signed up with a Drug Plan. Even when I got distracted, didn't respond or got confused, Wendy patiently nudged me until I finally got signed up with the best plan for me.
As soon as I wanted to compare costs and benefits in detail (Medicare v advantage)
a) annual Premium A, B and Medigap
b) cost of drugs
Then the cost of most likely illness:
c) Out of pocket for 1 week hospital stay
d) out of pocket 1 week rehab
I was labeled as a "Do it yourself"
That we could not predict WHEN that illness might take place?
That doesn't change the need to compare costs and out-of-pocket so I can make an informed decision.
This agent just wanted to write the Medigap plan, and talk me out of Advantage?!

Thanks for sharing your experience, Marty - we are actively looking into this and will have a manager reach out to you tomorrow. We have plenty of clients on Medicare Advantage plans here and it should be no problem to check the Summary of Benefits for a few in your area to see what their costs are for hospital stay and rehab. It is true that it will vary by carrier, but checking a few might help you get the ballpark estimate you need.
Worked with Cheyenne to explore cheaper gap policy's. Made it easy. Filled out questionnaire with us and cancelled existing. Wonderful customer service.

Thank you so much for your feedback – it is truly important to us so we can address any mistakes made by our staff. Catherine’s manager has reached out to you on this matter. This is our busiest time of year, and our employees do indeed work long hours due to 64 million people on Medicare all needing to make plan changes within a 7-week period. She did let us know that in her urgency to respond, she did use the wrong first name in her email and for that we sincerely apologize.
In reviewing what happened here, I can see there is a buy back plan available but it is one that that we have chosen not to enroll any further beneficiaries into based on feedback from our clients. It appears she missed the setting in our software that would have made it visible to her. Her manager has shown her how to handle this correctly in the future. Our normal policy in this situation is to give you the plan name so that you can call Medicare or the plan directly to enroll.
