Brain.fm

Brain.fm is a nice application, but no real innovation. I found several great products in this nice market, one of them is www.wiredvibeapp.com. WiredVibe is way cooler and authentic, esthetically pleasing also.

Adam Hewett is the snake oil salesman behind transparent corp and brain fm. I bought his software from transparent corp several years ago but now he doesn't support the products he sold so everything I bought is useless and I don't get my money back.
So now he does a subscription service where he claims to offer 5 different categories of AI music, focus, relax, meditate, recharge and sleep but when you go the music he conveniently leaves out any titles for meditate and recharge. But you get a combined 30 tracks in the other 3 categories for what ever program you sign up for.

Transparent corp was a scam but the allure of what he offers convinced me to sign up for brain.fm. Thankfully I only paid for one month and its pretty BS too. I was told I could download the tracks or play them off line and its a flat out lie unless I have to pay another fee to learn how to do that because the instructions on how are conveniently not anywhere to be found, just like the tracks for relaxing or meditation. So Adam, enjoy the 6.95, I've lost more than that by dropping a $10 bill but you'll never get another stinking dime from me thief.

I do not like to impact people's income or business or anything like that lightly so I do this with trepidation and concern. However, what Adam Hewett has done to his customers with Transparent Corp and its products (Mind Workstation, etc.) is deplorable. They took away the usage rights of their customers completely. No more activations, no allowed hardware changes or new computers, no VMs, nothing. I have had the same computers for a decade and can not even activate my purchased copy of Mind Workstation at all. Not on my PCs, not in VM, nothing. And that's on Windows 7 -- let alone the problems people are having on Windows 10. Adam personally wrote me when I purchased my license for Mind Workstation and said he would up my activation counts for the software, and further assured me that they would provide the program for free if Transparent Corp would ever go under, etc. None of that is true. I sensed this, which is why I wrote them with my concerns regarding the activation scheme they use/used. Adam appeased me and assured me I had no cause for concern. Well, a few years later and I can't even use the software I paid for. Adam:"If we do go out of business, we will provide a way for our customers to continue to activate it, probably by simply releasing a version that requires no activation or taking it open source. We will NEVER abandon our customers."Adam, again:"I have gone to great pains to ensure that even if you regularly make hardware changes your installed key will remain valid."Again, Adam:"Obviously I'm a big tech nerd myself and have had many companies do exactly what you've described. I've also seen companies do what I just promised to do and take things open source if things go south."Except that none of this happened and Adam reneged on all these intentions and statements. I can't use the software, period. He took away my right to do so but kept my money. This is what is called an exit-scam. But yeah I'm going to trust Brain.fm... Sorry, Adam, but you screwed up big time. You should release the softwares your customers paid for as freeware, at least. This is the worst, cheap way to go about things. This ain't the way. I wrote you with my concerns and you have proven each and every one of them as valid, despite of your words and assurances. That's on you. Make it right. Or have this stain your reputation. There is no need for any of this. It is up to you. Don't think people will forget. They won't.
