“Big range of hardware products, not as cheap as they claim”

Russell C.

While Bunnings does have a huge range of hardware products not a cheap as they claim. You can easily find the same product cheaper, but because Bunnings repackages a lot of their products or has unique supplies they are technically not Identical so they dodge the lowest price claim.

“Frauds”

I ordered some tools online to help out renovating and fixing things on my mother's property, she wanted to buy the tools for tax purposes as its her house and I was going to complete the work for her at no cost of course, being that almost all of there stores were out of everything i needed i turned to the online option big mistake I purchased them through a Bunnings account that the website forced me to set up in order to complete the transaction, I wasn't asked for specific details about card payment just the number so I put it in as I was asked to and now they say we can't have access to the tools or the funds. Never mind a lady in her late 60s is without the tools money or work that needs to be done being completed, why because of some lazy greedy corporate company that what wants to make some interest off an old lady's back. They should be ashamed of them selves. I told them I am going to call the ACCC and ATO to see if I can get something done about it and I mean it. Bunnings is mud to me now! Items will be brought elsewhere and she will have to wait probably be 2 weeks to get her money back then I have to find the tools elsewhere and have them shipped meanwhile she waits a month. Just bloody disgraceful anyone reading this please do you best to shop elsewhere! It's all just imported stuff made in China anyway, you see some of there stuff on Shien and alibaba places like that for a fraction of the cost. They place a ridiculous mark-up on all there stuff as well none of it lasts very long you certainly don't get what you paid for. If you order from 'catch of the day' Amazon and other sites like these they don't steal your money, its often much cheaper, they actually give you what you paid for or your a refund if they for some reason can not. They don't just hold your money. If's a funny yet new concept of doing business, you paid for something and you get it. Its a shame Masters failed and to be honest Mitre 10 is a better option these days and have a competitive point price if you need a heap of tools all at once, and you actually receive them when you buy them, again funny concept. Definitely avoid the online experience, where you are basically just fleeced out of your savings for a while, Bunnings don't care if you have to pay a bills or the mortgage, rent, fuel anything like that either, they just expect you to place another order online while they withhold 100% of your money from the first time you were stupid enough to fall for this scheme. Wow am I an idiot or what. Glad I didn't fall into that trap again. Ange in customer service just washed her hands of it too so thats a waste of time, meanwhile my elderly mother is out over 2k until they can be bothered transferring her money back. Spoke with the bank they have ensured us it is 100% bunnings that is holding the funds, but of course Ange at Bunnings goes unresponsive. Call and just get the run around and put off left with nothing but false promises and an empty bank account. Told us to place the order online again lol with what the two thound dollars they stole!?!?!? Why would anyone trust them with any amount of money, I wouldn't trust Bunnings with enough money to make a free call for a payphone. I am not saying it's that Bunnings is a bunch of crooks out to steal your money but, what I will say is that someone is currently out over two grand and has nothing to show for it. And Bunnings has over two grand that doesn't belong to them.
