Same food every night which tasted terrible. We had a storm and they never warned us. Deck flooded people were in pool and ship tilted and all water came out. My mother almost got hit by rolling table and they didn't care. Water park was slippery kids sliding all over my daughter fell and hurt herself, They had the guts to charge her for medical for $325. They over priced, credit cards frauds. My advise go somewhere else!

Currently struggling with carnival and will never book with them again. They lost our payment, after 5 phone calls we have to cancel the payment with our bank and resubmit a payment. It was their issue yet I'm the one doing the work on getting it sorted out. Beyond ridiculous that they offer no compensation for me having to spend hours on the phone dealing with their problems. DO NOT BOOK with them. Lots of other options out there.

Oh my God I hate the smell of that ship.level 1 smell like a fart and urine the whole time. Couldn't wait to get off that ship.how could it be right to have Ppl sleeping in that smelly place. Music when good.buffet was ok.but God damn.that speciality restaurant so disgusting.very unhappy customer.

We went a whole week without our luggage. It was left at Carnival's terminal in new orleans we left on january 8-13! We received our luggage 7 days after we came home. I have not received a phone call or anything from carnival cruise. I have sent several emails this last email I sent today. I told them I was irate! All I get in return is carnival cruz received your email! Can you imagine being on a cruise for a week with nothing! All they gave me was 50 bucks a day to buy stuff in the gift store to wear. They don't sell under clothes, They don't sell shoes to do Excursions, They don't sell all this stuff I needed to do off the boat it was $65 alone For toiletries! Post in a picture of my luggage. That came back a week after we were back from our cruise. It is soaked and wet everything was frozen on the inside due to the weather!

I returned from a cruise on the carnival valor on March 19,2024 and was shocked at the charges they put on my debit card. I put $500 cash against my charges while onboard and it is not reflected. I have been trying to contact customer care since I returmed home to no avail. Its amazing how easy it is to contact them before sailing but impossible to contact them post cruise. I am trying to get an itemized statement of my charges and an adjustment for the cash I paid that does not show.

Tip for consumers:
My bill is not correct and I have been unable to contact anyone from the cruise ship to review my charges. I need to speak to someone about over charges on my statement.

My husband and I went on a cruise on the carnival dream for our honeymoon from January 27 to February 2 2024. Let me first say that I am a university educated, retired army officer with years of experience in leadership, as well as customer service.

Carnival: Decent in most aspects, however I want to emphasise that I had the worst experience in customer service. Carnival only wants your money and does not care about you as a person. The first day on the cruise, my husband and I had the spa package so we had unlimited access to the spa. The manager of the spa whose name was Naomi (blonde British lady) Was horrible to me for absolutely no reason when I asked her for an itemised receipt. Turns out they overcharged me, and not only was, she badgering me and continually saying "we didn't do that", she even had the audacity to say in front of 10 other guests " have you seen how much you spent at the casino?" I have never endured such disgusting customer service. Furthermore, when I asked her to cancel one of my appointments, she ended up cancel all of them and saying "you don't have to come anymore". I am a disabled veteran and I had an appointment for my chronic pain and she can mine as well as my husband for absolutely no reason. I tried to bring it up with higher level management but I could not get past an assistant manager at the end, all I wanted was an apology and she couldn't even do that. They kept offering me $150 gift card and I said no. I wanted a refund on things that I spent or some sort of compensation, or simply an apology. It took me three days for them to finally say "OK, we will take $150 off of your account CREDIT". Bear in mind, my account spending was $2010 just on additional stuff on the cruise. Carnival, have some decency in the people you hire, please, one moment like that can ruin an entire eight day vacation for a paying customer. I am never using carnival again and I will be sure to Express these feelings and opinions to everybody that I know.

My group and i had a very nice time on carnival vista but carnival needs to step up with better food at dinner and breakfast food needs a better taste and better entertainment this cruise line need have better food sodas should be included hire real singers and comedians, like well-known people like Diana Ross Lionel Richie, Gladys Knight Brian Culbertson, Kenny G and better comedians George Wallace Eddie Griffin, Chris Tucker and then every ship you got would sell out once you step your game up

I am writing to ask for consideration do to emergency surgery. I have been diagnosed with collapsing hips.
I received the news Jan 11th 2024. The doctor says there is no way possible to travel after surgery. This has
Come by surprise leaving me unable to walk without a walker. We plan on still taking a cruise as soon as I can travel. We were penalized $600 for cancelling. We are platinum guest and have been cruising with carnival for years. We do not want money back, but if possible let us use the money toward our next cruise. We feel the penalty is unfair in our circumstance as there will be no loss to your company because we are still coming just at a different time.

My wife and I sailed on the Carnival Dream on December 2,2023. On December 5 my wife was badly injured on the Lido deck of the boat. Here are my complaints/concerns:

We were told by your security team that we would be provided a copy of the accident report. This has not happened.
We were told by your security team that the event would be investigated applying facial recognition to try to identify the person who injured her.
I have made calls to the number that your security team provided and only become frustrated. It seems if I was wanting to purchase a new cruise I would have had better luck talking to a person.
My wife was badly misdiagnosed aboard the Dream. She was rightly told her left elbow was broken and dislocated. She was told her right wrist was badly sprained. This was false. The wright wrist was broken and dislocated. Sounds a lot like malpractice. This broken wrist was wrapped in an Ace bandage with no support.
Gayle was given "Naxproxen" which is about the strength of Aleve according to her surgeon. Her pain was a level 10+.
We were told there was not an ice pack on the ship. This is amazing!
We were stranded on the Dream for an extra day because we were at Carnival's private island and there was no airport. While stranded on the boat there was not a single Carnival representative that made an appearance or showed any concern for our plight.
When visiting Customer Service to arrange getting off the ship there was no effort to help with arrangements. We were simply told to be at the library the next morning at 6:30 AM with airline tickets and passports in hand. We were not even asked if we may need help with luggage.
We were made to pay more than $700.00 for the poor medical care to be allowed to exit the boat.
After sharing my displeasure on the survey, no responded... nothing happened.
I could go on...

Since being home my wife has had surgery on both arms. It is unknown if she will ever regain total flexibility of the elbow. The surgeon had to reassemble ten pieces of the bone. She is in for a very long recovery. Again, Carnival seems not to care.

Today, I am insisting that we are emailed a copy of the accident report we were promised with the results of the videos with facial recognition. I would also insist on a bit of compassion but I know that is probably not going to happen.

This letter was sent to guest services on January 8th, so far…. Nothing.

Myself and My husband has been cruising every year since 2010. It's always been my gift to him so it was understood that I book and pay. Now this year my cruise was set for 11/27/23 however my husband just started a new job in another state so I asked can I do a name change or just go on the cruise alone and they said no because it was under my husbands promotion… so I was told all I could do was cancel and lose out on the money I paid…. So carnival allows me to book for he and I, cancel for he and I, but I can't go on the cruise that I booked, I just lose my money. I'm very disappointed in carnival… I'm thinking about changing cruise lines all together! I'm very hurt by this

I forgot my brand new clothes in my cabin, called the Mardigraw cruise line lost and found the same day! It took them weeks to notify me that they could not find my clothes. I did not call a week after, I called the same day that I unboarded the ship. Carnival Cruise, are you aware people are losing their belonging on your cruise ship? I paid a lot of money for myself and my family for this cruise, and still lost my clothes. If you forget any of your thing onboard, know that it's gone! I will not use Carnival Cruise or ever recommend them.

We chose the carnival celebration because of its roller coaster and it was broken the whole week. The kids were so disappointed. Guest services couldn't even care in the least. Also my daughter won a voucher in a raffle for the spa and the spa manager said she could only use it for a few certain things. It was $75 so we didn't use it. Also there were people smoking on the balcony's and we couldn't sit out much. We paid a lot for our 1 week a year trip and felt very let down. We will be going back to Norwegian

My bank limits me to 3000.00 a day and normally at any other casino in the states after midnight the bank card will reset itself but not tonight. I tried to pull another 1000.00 dollars twice but the request was declined. No big deal I never got that money, well guest services locked my card saying I owe them that money when I never received that 2000.00 again it was declined.
I don't understand why the lady doesn't get it, I will go back down there this afternoon after all the charges post on my account from the bank.
One of the head guys from the casino was at guest services laughing at me trying to explain my situation to the lady.
That's enough to make anyone angry, it's definitely not customer service and I guess being a platinum customer means very little especially dropping 10-20k at the casino twice a year on Carnival

I decided to take my family on a Christmas cruise this year,it has been a rough year on all of us. In one year we lost my son at 19 years old my aunt my grandfather and my beautiful mom all month's apart so I knew Christmas wasn't going to be the same. We love our cruises and love sail with Carnival but this 8 day trip was far the worst vacation ever. I would like to first start off my when getting my luggage the wheels were broken off of it, our room was on the 1st floor and I'm guessing there was a club up stairs from us so sleeping at night until@2 we listened to our floors shake and rattled from the music. 2 days into the cruise I started to get really sick,come to find out the carpet in front of our door was soaked in standing water. They did come vacuum it up but was left a big fan the rest of our trip blowing to dry the water up. And then getting woken up every *******@6-7 with a loud drilling noise like they were cleaning the lines out from sewage, so finally falling asleep from the night club,getting sick from breathing who knows what or how long the carpet has standing water "mold" and getting woken up to the drill sounds from the pikes, I would say this time with Icarnival has been far the worst experience. I have sent pictures and videos

This was not my first cruise.

The staff was great. Always pleasant and professional.
Before sailing, I downloaded the Carnival Hub app months prior. I never saw anything Vista specific. Just the typical cruise information. Most of what was on the Hub was umbrella and applied to most of their cruises. When were just days out, I called Carnival to make sure I was packing accordingly. The information I received was we were having 1 elegant night on the second night of the cruise. Of course there were 2 elegant nights and an all white party. Wow what a disappointment when my husband had only packed the 1 elegant suit and neither of us had a white outfit.
The ship itself... let's just say thank goodness that was the last sailing from Galveston before updates/remodeling. The decor throughout the ship including the staterooms was, to put it politely outdated. The shower had horrible drainage. Maybe that's how all of Carnival ships are but standing in pooling water is not my idea of feeling clean. I pray I don't get athlete's foot
The pool area gave me the creeps. There were times when I thought I was going to get the plague from just walking past it. One of the pools had to be closed temporarily before we left Galveston so one of the staff could scoop something out of it. Yay!

I can't forget to mention the God awful sewage smell in the middle of the ship on days 2 & 5. Completely unbearable.
The biggest gripe I have is the elevator system. Taking the stairs may be an option for some but for elderly, those with disabilities, crutches, or walkers waiting 10 to 15 minutes for an elevator is actually unacceptable.
The food was edible. Due to religious beliefs my husband and I don't eat pork or shellfish. I really didn't think this would be an issue. I was wrong yet again. Very minimal options especially at breakfast. There was nothing "fine" about the fine dining. Stale bread, under seasoned food with a wait longer than the elevator system. As for drinks what's included is water, juice at breakfast, coffee, and the lemon concentrate they call lemonade. Im sure that lemon concoction gave me a stomach ulcer. Never ever select open dining option with Carnival. The dining room was such a clusterf*@k. We used the carnival hub app for "easy" table reservations. Once we were notified that our wait was expected to be under 10 minutes, we still waited over 30 minutes and 45 minutes once seated to just get bread. The sad thing is we were trying to plan around the big crowds.

As for activities, this was a very geriatric experience. My husband and I are in our early 40s and did not find many activities that peaked our interest. However, if you want to feed their casino machines in a small room full of smokers good luck!
I can't forget about the cruise photographers. Not sure if they go to school to learn the 3 repeated poses of awkward, more awkward, and finally just plain weird. I am so glad there were photographers at all of the excursions so that we could have some good pictures of our 15th anniversary that was ruined by a Carnival cruise nightmare.
Please don't take this review as me wanting any freebies. The only thing free I'd take from Carnival is tickets on the Royal Caribbean or Virgin.

I would give a zero star rating if I could. Customer service was absolutely horrible and the food is not good. Children running around everywhere and throwing things at guests, but I got fined for hitting a vape on an outside deck with no other guests around me. They water down your alcohol and it is extremely overpriced. If you actually want to have a good time on the boat, wake up because you're dreaming. Take virgin cruises or a different cruise line because this one is not worth the money at ALL.

This was my first cruise ever, 6 days to Cabo.
First day in Cabo we were having the best time on the whale watching tour and then decided to get some lunch.
As we were unfamiliar with the town we stopped at senior frogs and had some margaritas and lunch. We sat with another couple who was happy to share the table with us.
I had to go to the restroom and there was an attendant in the ladies room cleaning the sinks and he stated that I was OK to use the restroom so I did.
I washed my hands then was pushed against the wall by the attendant and sexually assaulted.
I was in shock. I wiggled away from the man as he was trying to have sex with me and got out of the bathroom as he had the door blocked with a trashcan to keep others from coming in.
This was a horrible experience but when I got back to the Panorama ship and went to guest services to let them know I was told repeatedly that this happened because I was drinking and they couldnt do much about as I did not go to the federales and report this, when I explained this happened because I went to bathroom and this man is going to rape someone at some point.
Well needless to say I got really upset after this and was kicked off the ship the next morning.
Im pissed about how carnival handled this and some kind of training needs to happen regarding situations like this.
Its a never again for Carnival cruise and Mexico entirely.

This was my first cruise. The cruise overall was fun and people were nice. I am, however, very disappointed in customer service and guest relations not assisting me in a matter I felt could've been resolved quickly. Do not buy drink packages online because upgrading and issues are difficult to handle once onboard. After 4 visits to customer service on Day 1, my friend not being able to get her drink package, and being told 3 different things, we didn't get the drink package until Day 2. After they charged my card twice and I requested a refund because of the headache, they were not willing to refund me or give me on board credit. Even thought I agreed to purchasing a package because my cabin mate did, I also don't understand why I have to when I don't drink much. It's not fair. I will not be sailing Sunshine again. Your customer should come first.

Did not get one night of sleep! Two cabins across from us had low class thug "LSU and Alabama football players" (per them, haha LIES). Loud and obnoxious ALL hours of the night, especially around 2AM when the club closed. And don't forget all of the little thots coming in and out of the room all night long. All of them were using profanity and even racial slurs. We called front desk MULTIPLE times and they did put a person at the end of our hall. That was a waste of time because the thugs would just talk back and do as they please in the hall way. The first night we called guest services at 3am, someone came down, knocked on the thugs door and told them we were the ones that complained. Very upset about this because I literally felt threatened every time I walked out of my room, not knowing what the thugs would do in retaliation.
Carnival cruise is definitely the least expensive cruise line but just remember,
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
We will never waste our money on a carnival cruise again!

The cruise was overpriced considering we waited since 2020 to go on this cruise. We had 6 days at sea with 2 ports. Limon was a short stay.carnival needs to do a better job at the Panama Canal. They had a speaker who spoke limited English and expect a ship full of English speaking passenger to understand. Dining was a disaster you have to wait 1 to 1 1/2 hour to get into the dining room

Hated the all black cruise. Carnival did not tell me when I booked that it was an all black cruise. I am white and felt white racism. They are loud, unruly. Half naked black butts shaking all over deck. No where to find a peaceful rest. Guest services told me to go to library. I do not advise going. This is the worst group of people to put on a cruise. They fight constantly, extremely loud and arrogant.

Me and my husband had paid in full for 3 day cruise to Bahamas,This his 1st time my 5th time.I always got to the Port by 2:45.This time we get there same time frame others out says the doors locked and they were very upset.I was told as always I can do our boarding once we get on.What changed/did I miss something with a new time frame.it was my cuzin Birthday and we was going to Celebrate.Than they tell me No Refund like that's not a good look with this overall.This is not right and we should not be punish for the non Communication,I've been going threw the same travel agent the whole time as-well.I am very disappointed
