Trying to find someone you love is difficult on the best of days. Although CF is a dating site, it is far better than any other site I have been on and I have been many. For those of us who are paying members, we get outstanding support and Anj is an example of that. She is so kind and helpful even when I keep asking questions.

ChristianFilipina seems like a good site. I've been on it for a couple weeks, and it shows promise from other dating sites like Tinder or Bumble. While the site itself seems slightly antiquated like something from the early 2000s, the underlying concept of finding a Filipina match is there.

One of the biggest differences from other sites that I particularly found very helpful was the romance consultation I got from one of ChristianFilipina's consultants. I got a good overview of how the site works, good tips on finding your match, and advice on how to best design your profile to attract good matches.

While I've only been on this site for a few weeks, I've gotten a couple winks and messages and feel confident this site will be a positive difference from the others I've used.

So far every from the beginning, CF staff consultant that I have had a conversation with has been helpful, polite, direct, honest, and very professional. What I've enjoyed most is how patiently time was taken by the CF staff member on how to use the advance search and how to navigate the platform.

What I'm not happy about right now that I hope will change soon, is that there appears not to be enough bandwidth to have a video chat with the Filipina you're interested in on a consistent in. Only once so far have I been able to have a video chat. I certainly wish I would have been told this upfront before I paid any money. My concern is I'm going to miss out on the Filipina I'm looking for as a result. I've only been a member for a little more than 2 weeks, so I'm hoping it gets better. Even some of the ladies express the frustration of not being able to see me, as I am frustrated in not being able to see them. On a grading scale from A through F, right now they only rate "B" grade from me. Not necessarily a bad service, it's just in need of stepping up their quality of service relative to the video chat. Otherwise, I'm generally somewhat happy so far. Plenty of room for significant improvement.

I'm writing this on behalf of a good friend, a disillusioned Catholic gentlemen, who's had a rough time with certain dating sites. He was searching for a feminine, domestic partner and thought stepping away from mainstream platforms might help. But what he found was disappointing, to say the least.

The blunt truth? This alternative site is riddled with problems. He encountered profiles that were barely filled out, lacking in substance, and often with very few photos. It seemed like many women on these platforms weren't serious or possibly even real – a lot of the profiles came across as fake or managed by scammers.

The interaction was another letdown. Most profiles were unresponsive, and those who did reply couldn't hold a decent conversation. It was either one-word answers or nothing that could lead to a meaningful connection. It's like throwing money into a black hole.

Adding to the frustration, much of the site's content, including articles and advice, hasn't been updated since 2012. This outdated information does little to help navigate today's dating landscape, making the site feel even more disconnected from the current dating scene.

And let's talk about international dating – it's a minefield. If you're considering traveling halfway around the world, like to the Philippines, in hopes of finding love, think again. You're likely to face even more risks and disappointments.

My advice? Stick to more reputable sites like Catholic Match. That's where I met my husband, and the experience was worlds apart. They have better vetting, and you're more likely to find genuine, literate profiles and people serious about a relationship. Catholic singles should really rally around platforms like CM and steer clear of those secular, sketchy sites.

Christian Filipina has been a fantastic experience. Customer service is second to none in the online dating scene. Joana, my customer service rep, has been fantastic to work with as she seems to honestly care about the men and women looking for love in the Philippines.
