I typically don't comment on these message boards but I've read the posts and most are pretty off as far as the women go. Granted there are certainly those women in Colombia looking for "a way out". If you go to Colombia with the typical American attitude of "saving them", you will most certainly meet the women you all are referring to. I met a woman on Colombiancupid site almost 2 years ago. We've had our offs and ons and she can be quite difficult at times. We're still together. Did she think all Americans are rich? Yes. Did she learn that, in fact, all are not rich? Yes, after explaining how the US is and works. DOne poster/reviewer here said most women have been raped at least twice and are victims of violent crimes everyday. She didn't get raped 2 times and she has never been a victim of a violent crime. I've met her family and, gasp, none of them have been raped or victims of violent crime. I have many friends - male and female - in Medellin and they are all warm and wonderful people. My suggestion would be to anybody who reads this is to leave your American attitude at home and don't flash your expensive jewelry or talk about your cars and homes. Women looking for money are all over the world. You want to tell me that Russian women on dating sites aren't looking for a guy with money? Or the orient? Or POF (plenty of fish)? Bottom line is that any dating site will bring out the worst of people. Just be patient, don't be their savior, keep it all simple and go to Medellin and experience the culture and meet some women. Know Spanish before you go - at least a bit.

Looking at the reviews you'll find the best example of: People just leave a review if they are NOT satisfied. I am sure there are MANY happy customers using ColumbianCupid.com because it is NOT a bad site at all. In my opinion it is inexpensive (keep in mind to cancel the automatic subscriptions) and seems real to me! Latam-Date.com may be a very good alternative but keep in mind that this site may become more expensive.

So after reading the bad reviews here, I decided to try for myself.
As soon as you sign up, you get a load of messages. And yes these are fake, even worse they also sent out fake messages in your name. But after a week or so these messages will stop.
The good: The woman are real, they sent 'i'm interested' messages and if you message them they will respond. Almost none of them speak English, but google translate is ok. Did not see any prostitutes or scammers.

That being said, I also tried the free dating apps, and these also provide a lot of contact.

He is not her stepfather as she says. They use WhatsApp to scam their victims. Stay on Colombian Cupid and document the scammers activities.

Trust me, I had to find it out myself and I wasted bunch of money on this " experiment". I had online relationship (connection, chemistry, whatever you call this) with 11 women on ColumbianCupid (not at the same time :)) and all of them avoided meeting me. They all came up with all kinds of excuses, but they all fibbed about it. I realize now that neither of those women aimed at having relationship. Sadly, it was just an odd job for them. I suspect it's a well-paying job in Latin America. It makes sense to use it only if you want to look at sexy photos, but that's as far as it goes.

Colombia is known for Gold, emeralds, and some of the most beautiful women in the world. So a site like this comes up showing these girls looking for a ticket out of a difficult life, and, what's best then hooking up with an American citizenship who is looking to hook with one of these gems?
So this site seems perfect on all accounts.
The problem is, there quite a few people trying to scam men out of money and that's where the problem lies.
The site does try to protect their members by posting warnings about tactics used by women and scammers from other countries. But they cannot stop certain things from happening.
Here are a few tips from my personal experience. I 'm too old and wise to fall for some of these tactics, but it does happen.
First tool we all have is common sense, use it!
Number one. No 20 year old women that looks like she should be on TV is going to want to leave her country to live with some old fart, unless it's someone like Warren Buffett!
I mean, look at some of the profiles, some of them post their target age range from 40-99!
Now, I'm a 65 year old male who has conserved himself by never drinking or smoking and it shows on my profile
I get likes from 18-60 year old women.
Even the 60 year old's are hot.
Here are are some of the tactics to watch out for based on my experience.
The first phasing trick is the "Like" it's meant for members that are attracted to you, to show interest. Most of the time it's some gorgeous female wearing skimpy clothes,
So you are flattered and you reply.
You reply in a short sentence or paragraph asking to clear up something on their profile. Scammers don't have time for that so they will respond in (what I think) pre-fabricated phrases, or just answer, "Si" or "no" and will tell you little or nothing about themselves. What they will do is say something like, "Hey good looking, fate has brought you here, I really want to know more about you, her is my number, call me on Watsapp" it's there way of luring you from the safety of the site. The staff try to monitor these things and kick them off the site but they can't catch them all. They do post tips and warnings about scammers.
There are some honest women on there but they are not that marketable or they are young and have multiple children that come with the package. I'm just to old to support a young women and her kids, who knows who fathered them and what's in their DNA!

No doubt some of these Lady's are beautiful, but they are Rude, Money Hungry and well trained in the art of deception. Their main focus is to grab a foreigner preferably from USA get married obtain their Green card and send money back home for their kids and sometimes HUSBAND- yes husbands- don't waste your money, if you are looking for that type of lady I would say travel and get to know the real person- lots of fake pictures of when they were skinny, now old and not skinny

Well, I don't have such a good opinion of this site, but there is one thing I want to say: even though YES THERE ARE FAKE PROFILES ON THIS SITE, there are also real one.
Once I wanted to report one of those fake, the support did not even care to suspend the profile.

What more can I say? Ah Yes, I was able to see some few real profiles on this site, I mean, people that I had actually met in real life (I have lived various years in Colombia so I can tell). Turn out some girl are cam models, or sex workers, and the majority of the real ones are single mothers who desperately look for a way to run away from the difficult like they have in Colombia. (because if you're not aware, the minimal wage there is about 200$, and it is not so easy to even gain that much).

Still, I must say I had ONE great experience there, a charming and lovely lady with the same age, with whom I have chatted for 3 months, often doing videocalls, she is working, often travelling, speak several languages etc. We had a nice chemistry. She 'd never asked for money or anything like this. Truly an independent woman, even though despite working, she add to live to her parent house to save and pay for her debts. I should have continued with her, but for some reason I had to wait for more than 8 months to go back to Colombia, and was very disheartened. So I stopped (but still have her contact, I may speak again with her, we were good friends, but thing is that she is not looking to start a family, I do, and I know a another woman who would like with me but, isn't so lovely so… my problem)

You would have to look really carefully, and I would suggest to only consider verified profiles (the lady I spoke with for months had a verified profile, so this is the thing). Don't get to hooked with profiles with beautiful pic, those are often robbed. Others fake one just seem to be run by people hired to make members subscribe. Thing is, I have actually for for a very short time for such a company (you only learn about it at the very end, and I was desperate for money… still it was absolutely awful, never again) So I can tell when they're operate and if you see a lot of message rushing in your mail box the same day, it's certainly fake profile. Other note that they also using the already prepared questions available on the site. Well if it's start with "¿" it's more than 90% of time a fake profile, because Colombian people hardly use it to write or chat.

Don't bother with this site. It is full of scammers and liars. They will immediately ask you to switch to WhatsApp for communicating which is a dead giveaway. They don't want their chat logs to be accessible when you eventually report them for having fake profiles or for soliciting money. Just stay away. You will thank me for it. If I could have given it zero stars I would have.

I got the 40 dollar subscription and there where a lot of random women hitting me up I am a mixed 38 year old good looking single guy with no kinds and speak some Spanish. They all mostly wanting to chat on WhatsApp I weeded out a few that really weren't talking as of now I'm talking to 3 the first is my favorite she is drop died gorgeous! The second ask for money a lot I snapped on her and she didn't ask again but still messages me everyday and always ask am I taking care of myself. No video chat a lot of pictures The third writes everyday and video chatted me she is just young but nice I can tell she is stifling but she never asked for money. All are from Cuba I will update in a month

This slick scam is run with military precision. They use photos of models and make up profiles. 2-3 staff members "work" under the same profile in shifts (that's why the reply style changes sometimes). ColumbianCupid is run on absolutely different business model. Their absolute goal is to rip you off. Trust me, they have no concern for your well-being. They want to keep you on chat sessions for as long as they can. Even after you purchase girls' contact details they still refuse to use free media. Keep in mind that these girls are all hired by ColumbianCupid. Neither of them has genuine interest in finding a husband.

Is full of Prostitutes, and criminals women who work with their gang members boyfriends to drug and robbed foreign men.

My trip to Colombia to meet girls from this site ended up in cancellation of my membership. Guys, before you decide you want to have a Colombian wife, have a trip there and your eyes will be opened. The conditions in which these girls grow up are terrible, so many of them are involved in prostitution from an early age, they grow up in extreme poverty and violence, it leads to them having serious psychological traumas and mental disorders. Very few of them are educated (and they are not these women you meet on Columbiancupid). You might think, they would be grateful when you get them out of this poverty? Not exactly, if they have originally set up their minds to use you as a tool to leave their country. As I mentioned, many of these girls have serious psychological issues, all the girls I met had them. One was raped 2 times, another one was a victim of home violence nearly every day. It's all very sad and I am very sorry for these girls. Maybe they will still make good wives (I sincerely wish this), but I would not risk having relationship with them. Think twice before you let this thought in your minds, guys.

When you subscribe to this website they automatically renew your membership, you have to manually turn this setting OFF. I had turned the option OFF and they still charged my credit card. I went to the billing section and the setting was turned ON. I complained and they said "auto renew was on". Yea BECAUSE THEY TURNED IT ON. Completely fraudulent company, do not sign up with them.

I had a premium membership for 3 months. The worst customer service I ever experience. You will be lucky if you get a replay and the replay is automatic replay. Secondly, quality of women is very shaky I will not recommend to anyone.

Colombia had like 6 months of quarantine in 2020. Do you really believe some Colombian girls are still single? Many scammers, a few prostitutes, and that's it. No girls are interested to come to your country.

After a few trips to Colombia over the past years and learning more about this culture, I cannot recommend it if you're looking for a life partner. Colombian girls are not family-oriented, don't want to get married, and are mostly interested in foreigners for their money and other benefits. You will lose time, money and get emotionally hurt. Ok so where do I begin... let's start with the good, i have had a gold membership for 3 months and before that was on their Latincupid for a couple so I think I can offer a good review. Let's jump into positive points.
Yes you can meet authentic women here that are attractive there are real profiles. Met someone in 2020 visited them twice had a good relationship but it did not workout it happens she was a nice girl loved her family since I am latin language not an issue. And now talking to a girl in cali going to meet her halfway in Cancun in October for some heavy passionate nights no asking for money other than a the cost of her room and plane ticket.
The negative... there are tons and tons of scammers or girls selling nudes. The messages that go to immediately asking your WhatsApp is a big red flag. Also if they start talking about how they have no job or money and they are all stressed out que chimba hombre their answers to your questions are short and vague well guess what that's because they are expecting you to be captain save a ho. The one big issue I even cited this on my profile is if I am asking an open ended questions and their answer is one letter then obviously they are not there for any kind of relationship. And this is what's gets tiring dealing with the tons of low quality air heads that absolutely are there wasting my time. Luckily I can read between the lines and found a few real ones but next time I will just fly down there and heck pick them up on the flight from Panama to Medellín like I did last time I went. I have been off and on with this site for some time now, so this review is one to read. Many people here describe correctly the main issues, this review will be very detailed to help those who are currently on it, if you don't want to read on too much here it is summed up: Gold Diggers, Fake profiles, Prostitutes, Cam Girls, Instagram TOTH girls, and the famous Medellin Flake girls. Lets be real the desirable profiles are the ones most are going to go for not the uglies. Some of these profiles are plain fake, others possibly legit but these girls have a system. Here is how to spot them, I really want to help my fellow men.
-They Want to Take Chat to Whatsapp almost immediately (this will be a scam where they will ask for money quick).
-They don't like answering questions about themselves, very short almost rude answers, very evasive. Again either a bot profile, fake profile, or scammer.
-Let's say you spend some time having conversations, a few weeks even some legit video calls so you are golden you think... Wrong, suddenly she is out of nowhere sick, cant pay rent, needs money to eat, sick family member, got sick again and she is deathly ill. If you send money expect to be sending regularly with new found issues. Guess what you just became a virtual suggar daddy/captain save a hoe.
-Business whatsapp account (big red flag).
-Sends you pics but for some reason does not want to do a video call. (Fake profile or pics)
-Lets say you send her 20 bucks cuz you have a heart, but she wants you to send it a cousin. She has no ID or lost it. (Scammer alert) also she is trying to hide her true identity in case it comes back to bite.
-(Long Read)Girls from Medellin have a well deserved reputation for being highly flaky, never travel to Colombia just to meet one girl no matter how much affinity you think you have with her. On any kind of match making or dating site you should setup dates with multiple girls to be sure you don't land in Colombia with all your hopes based on one girl only to find she flakes out. Many professional match makers and youtubers, and expats warn about this. It has happened, even to me luckily I setup multiple dates. These girls love to talk (verbo). But They love to flake out for many different reasons. But this occurs very commonly in Medellin, which is the main spot for most men wanting to meet girls from Colombia. Does this mean all the girls? No, but you really need to screen.
What you want to see is lots of questions about you, no and I mean no asking for money what so ever. There are good apps like Badoo or Tinder even that have better quality of women or even a match maker or just flying down there meeting them. I have had success with that approach. Cupid Media does not make any effort to screen these girls. Lots of these profiles over the years come up and down, these girls do this to avoid being reported. This website which is confirmed by the girls has a rep, which is gullible suggar dadies that these 'women' don't even have to sleep with to get money.
Oh and some of the women reviews are hilarious especially calling out old sacks, probably because they are not attractive enough to do any better. And hey if they don't like it, they can stick to their men.
