I am still in my trial of a week, but I have been looking around a bit, watching some videos. Most of it is mainly for beginners, and I really miss all kinds of other craftsy or art stuff, like book binding, pottery, and printing. So, for me, probably not so workable. More a video version of Pinterest. But I like how friendly it looks.
I did the Black Friday deal because there were some courses I wanted to take. It said you get 8 free. Well the 8 free are very limited. The courses I wanted are still paid. There was no indication of this at sign up. Luckily I only spent $11.50 ($2.50 first then $9 to upgrade to gold) because if I paid the actual annual price I would be LIVID. Going to turn off that auto renew right now...

I purchased a membership hoping I'd have access to videos and crafts but I still have to pay for most projects. Not worth it in my opinion.
Was just charged over $100 for a premium membership which I had no recollection of signing up for. Immediately reached out to Craftsy to request a refund, within the same day of the charge, in fact it is still sitting in "activity today" on my checking account. Was told that their policy is for no refunds. I think that is terrible customer service. I could understand if a month or even a week went by, but this is same day. Ridiculous!
Tip for consumers:
I would not sign up for or use their services again. Absolute ripoff to charge someone for services not received.

I sent this today. I have tried to call but your voice mail states your hours and you are not answering during your open hours. Your voice mail ends with a message to call you back during open hours. Your chat function says you are closed. Have you gone out of business?
I have read the reviews on line and you get one star for customer service. I need help! I paid for lifetime access during your original opening as Craftsy and I can not access my content on my phone or tablet. It says I am not a current member. Please fix this.

Horrible customer service! I paid less than $10 for my first year, then BAM! $212.43 charged and NO REFUND for a service I don't use. Beware!
Tip for consumers:
Horrible Customer Service. They should be ashamed charging less than $10 for one year, then charging a whopping $212.43.

I see all these reviews saying the same thing. They took our $ and won't return tho we're sure we cancelled.
Update: PayPal cancelled the payment since it was still pending! Phew!
Still going to fight them for future victims
Tip for consumers:
Scammers. Better Business Bureau investigation coming too.
If you paid thru PayPal you might have a chance. They cancelled the charge and the money is back in my account today and I only told them this morning! Thank you PayPal!!!

I only watched a couple videos right after the discounted trial from Groupon. Haven't used craftsy in prob 10-11 months. Then they just pulled $97 out of my account with no notice even tho I'm sure I cancelled the auto renew, like the other customers thought they did too. I'll head to Groupon next after PayPal.
I got a discount on the membership. I loved the classes. But when the renewal time came I was going to cancel because I did not want to pay $99 because that a little pricey for me.So before the expiration date I decided to cancel. While I was canceling they offered me a $12 membership, great deal right? So I accepted the deal the updated my credit card info. They charged my card $99. Luckily my card blocked it and sent me a text, but now I have to wait for a new card. Customer service said they sent a email (they did not) they said they were taking the $99 the month prior a week before my expiration date from my old card I had on record. I checked my emails there was none. Now I have wait for new credit card because when I updated my card for the $12 renewal it tried to take the $99 instead. All I got was a Sorry. If you want to cancel your subscription do it at lease a month early because they are shady when it comes to the renewal.

I joined this website for a trial costing $2 or so. After seeing how little content there was and the poor quality of content, I decided to cancel my membership. Today I see in my bank statement I have been charged $138 by Craftsy. I called customer service and they refuse to refund me and insist I never cancelled. I went to the website and was baffled when it showed me as having a premium account when I remember 100% cancelling. Now when I call customer service I get a different company and when I try to cancel my membership again it says error. I am contesting the charge with my bank and urge everyone to avoid this company.
I was charged over $100 for a membership I never signed up for. I charged with a trip who just kept regurgitating the same thing. I requested my concern be escalated and the "manager" with whom I chatted was rude and unhelpful.
I was told they would put a $100 digital credit on my account, which is virtually worthless since I've never used the service.

This business is a ripoff. Don't bother.

Got charged for a subscription I had no idea I had. Finally got ahold of the company and they refuse even a partial refund for a year subscription I canceled within a month. I never wanted this and now they got 2 years payments since the first one last year slipped my notice. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. AWFUL
Tip for consumers:
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I get a daily email regarding their great sales on fabric precuts for quilting. You get what you see in a timely fashion. Once I did not receive my order, and they immediately sent out a new order. I just wish they would have a way to combine shipping on orders, hence the 4 stars.
Craftsy did an unauthorized charge on my bank account a day ago. I contacted them to get it corrected and refunded and they refused. I did not purchase anything and it is clearly unauthorized. I have disputed the charge with my bank and canceled my account with Craftsy. They nothing but a shady and crooked company. Steer clear of them!
Tip for consumers:
They won't even refund their own error!!!
My sister-in-law died. I am executor of her will, I saw this charge on her card for 97.00 as pending. I called to immediately cancel and checked the website, and sighed with relief as the renewal was not due for 5 days. But when I called customer service they said, they do automatic billing 10 days before due and once the ten days prior is reached they have a no refund policy. I explained she was deceased, I had the death certificate, and I did not know about this until I saw the pending charge. Customer service said, sorry...no refunds. I said but it is not due for another five days and she never used the service last year, and they replied sorry, no refunds. I said, so you mean if the person dies, you still charge. They said, no refunds regardless. As a carrot, the representative told me they would not charge her for future years after this one. I said, do you not understand she is deceased. The representative said, I am sorry for your loss but I cannot help you as we have a no refund policy. Amazing... talk about compassion.
I paid less then 3 dollars. Obviously it requires auto renewal for a year. Had to cancel my paypal autorenewal. This site grabs few dollars from as much people as they can but there is "zero" service even for the few dollars. Dont waste your time here.
I was auto-charged to renew a premium membership that doesn't even start for another week. I cancelled but they won't issue a refund, even though the membership doesn't kick in yet.
The new Craftsy platform is doing VERY sneaky things behind the scenes with your personal info. I sent them an email with an opportunity to explain but my specific questions regarding personal stored info was never actually answered. Here's what happened.
My husband received an email, at MY personal email address, from Craftsy as if he now owned the account. He has never had anything to do with my Craftsy/ Blueprint account. It's in my name only for years... the stored credit card for payment is in my name only. How would they even know my husband's name? I asked them this very question as well as HOW they could possibly associate this account with his name. They even went so far as to REMOVE my name and change my account to my husband's name. The first email response simply stated Human Error. When pressed for more info such as. How do you even know my husband's name?... ( I send only 1 additional email for a total of two) they will not respond and explain to me HOW it happened. Very very strange. Now I don't trust how they are handling our personal info... names, addresses and payment info. I'm just baffled and would like to just know HOW they obtained names, and who knows what else, of other family household members without them having any connection whatsoever to their website. VERY SUSPICIOUS and they won't explain it. Something is going on with our personal info so be very careful. If they would have just explained how it happened and how they obtained other household members names, info, whatever, I would not have had the need to write this. So like I said watch your info with these new owners.
I signed up for that cute little $1.05 trial about a year ago. I went on the website to check out what I just bought and it was WORTHLESS. Like nothing useful to me and nothing helpful at all. So I went on the website and cancelled my membership. Well all of the sudden today I got charge $107. I called to get a refund and cancel AGAIN and they said there's no record of my canceling and they have a no refund policy. It's an absolute scam because I KNOW I cancelled. They informed me that they sent a reminder email 2 months ago. After searching my email and trash folder they never sent an email. It's how they run this scam. I am now on hold with PayPal trying to dispute this.
Craftsy is way over priced at $90, absolutely not worth it for me. I was not impressed by there dated content. Your membership doesn't even cover everything they offer. There are additional fees!Awful customer service as well your satisfaction is not guaranteed. Don't waste your money.
Craftsy lures people in by offering a cheap membership charge. I signed up on October 21,2023 against better judgment. Within the week, I cancelled my premium membership because I did not find anything useful on the site and it is not navigable. Craftsy did not send me a verification email that I had cancelled my membership. I have been receiving $97 charges since then for the premium membership. Their representative Joan claims there aren't any notes on my account, verifies that there hasn't been any activity on my account since October 2021, and states they do not issue refunds. Craftsy charges your account without notice. Some people claim the email they received was embedded in lots of scammy marketing emails. I did not receive any notice from Craftsy, not even in my spam or junk folders. Today, I logged into my Craftsy account to cancel the premium membership again. And again they do not send any documentation to verify that the membership is cancelled. I believe they hope people will forget that they cancelled the membership and continue charging the payment you have on file. They do not take prepaid cards for a reason. Do not give them any payment information.
Tip for consumers:
Craftsy is a scam. They continue charging you for a membership and show your membership is "active", even after you have cancelled.

Any of the material they filmed while under the bluprint branding is really great, but I've been with the 'new' craftsy for about 5 months and they haven't really added any new content as far as I can tell. Compared to some other creative subscriptions (I have an unlimited year long sub) this just feels kind of dated. I got a year long membership for a great price, which is good, because I would never pay full price for Craftsy. Some of their newer content are just these short little videos too, not really a class, which I think us kind of deceiving. I'm mostly taking drawing and painting classes, maybe some of the other content is updated more regularly? I have enjoyed a lot of content from Craftsy, just wish they would keep the fresh content coming, especially in the art category!
Like all the customers below, they charged me $100 for the annual membership which I did not sign up. No matter what I said, they refuse to issue refund but to grant me a credit of $100 to purchase their stuff which is totally ridiculous. DO NOT SIGN UP for anything or you will regret that you did.
I really love their classes. I've learned so much. It did take me a little while to understand how to use the site but now I'm a pro!
I signed up for craftsy a year ago for a discounted rate, I'm almost 100% sure I went and canceled it shortly after I had signed up for it because I didn't want to pay the expensive renewal fee. They charged my account yesterday and when I noticed it, I immediately sent them an email stating I had canceled it, didn't want it and couldn't afford it and asked them to cancel it and reimburse me but they would not reimburse me. A bunch of crap! My income and life situation has changed since a year ago and now I'm out $97 that was meant to go towards my bills! They didn't seem to care about that. Craftsy will never ever get my business again and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away.

Craftsy was apparently bought by NBC Universal and became Bluprint. I own a great many classes that I mostly bought, a few were free, and since the change some of those classes have been 'retired', which means they no longer sell them, but more importantly, there is no longer any instructor to ask questions of. I also found out that instructors weren't ever even required to reply to questions for more than 2 years, although I know of at least one dedicated one who says he still does but doesn't check his emails as often as before.
Bluprint are trying to appeal to the masses, and the classes they have been producing have gone down in quality and length. I get constant emails from them wanting me to join. I did join for a year but barely watched it, and there were a couple of newer classes that I couldn't bear to watch and had to switch off. One of them had some awful, constant jarring piano music that sounded like a beginning piano student was practising and was very loud as well. The instructor and subject were more in the background than that awful 'music'. The other one had such an annoying instructor that I couldn't stand watching, and these were both subjects I would have otherwise liked to learn. They've changed their policies with how instructors are paid from a percentage of a paid class to minutes viewed as a Bluprint member, which has resulted in less income for the instructors. One of them reported her income from her class with them had been halved, and some instructors have left because of the new arrangements.
Live chat used to connect immediately to a person, but when I had to contact them about something that was missing from a recent order, first I had to answer several questions before they would connect me.
Bluprint seem desperate for members. They have reduced their annual membership fee from $120 to $79.95, sometimes it's $69.95, and at least sometimes they also throw in 12 'own forever' classes and maybe something extra. The other day it was a quilt kit. I'm seriously concerned about what's going to happen with all of my many 'own forever' classes and if/how I can download them before this company ceases trading because I can't see them lasting very much longer, maybe a few years tops. I've recently bought dvds of some of the classes I already own when they've been 'on sale', still expensive for dvds, so I don't have to be online and watching with a computer or tablet. Things being what they are now, I wish I would have just bought the dvds, if they'd been available at the time.
I suppose if I'd had the current options back when I first started buying classes, I would probably join Bluprint for as short a time as possible and then buy the dvds, if available, of the classes I wanted. The way they're running the company now, they might as well not advertise instructor interaction, which for me was the main selling point. In many instances now, you might as well go on youtube.
I'm sad to say that I can no longer recommend this company, although I do sometimes still buy some fabric on sale from them.
I've got many craftsy classes, and I bought virtually all of them on sale at the lowest prices they ever offer them. Just a short time of observing how they do things, such as having regular sales, I could see that if I waited for a bit I could get a class I wanted at the lowest price they ever do. Over all, I really love this company. I joined this website just over 2 years ago. It's true that some of the newer classes are getting shorter and with less content, but it's also true that some of the older classes should really have been edited when an instructor droned on and on about things that weren't relevant like their personal life. I've bought some lovely fabric from this website, most recently some that it's my understanding that they have made in Japan exclusively for themselves, and it's stunning, very beautiful, and feels very good quality as well. The customer support people have fallen over backwards to respond quickly and generously to the slightest query I've had. It's a refreshing change from other companies who don't seem to give a monkey's once they've got your money. In my experience, they have really seemed to care and wanted to make me happy. Just as one example, they've given me refunds when I haven't even asked for them. Some of the American instructors are extremely slow to respond, if they ever do, which is highly frustrating when you are stuck and want to proceed and don't know how, some of them are quick to respond, and I think perhaps it's the ones who really want to teach other people who respond more quickly and are more committed to doing that. Some of the instructors I think may be doing this more to promote their own websites that sell things than to teach the subjects. Sometimes it seems that way, and some of their prices are extremely high. The British instructors have always been extremely quick to respond, not that I'm prejudiced or anything. Lol I really can't say enough good things about this company and their customer support. I just hope they stay around until I die. That's the only thing that's concerned me - you have lifetime access to your classes, but what if they cease trading before then?
Let? ۪s make something together: kits, supplies, tutorials and endless inspiration for quilting, knitting, cakes, sewing, cooking, fine art and more.
Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Bluprint! We made both difficult, but great decisions when it was time to rebrand our company. We understand that we might not be the best fit for all crafters and makers, but we do our best to accommodate all of our customer’s needs! We recently made changes to allow instructors the ability to see all comments from subscribers. We’re still working on improving this feature, but this initial change will make many of our instructors available to participate more in the community! We are always adding content to the site frequently, and we suggest reviewing our Coming Soon page or emails to stay up to date! While we do offer a variety of special offers, our price for an annual subscription is $79.99 and $7.99 for a monthly subscription”. This is still a new product for us so we’re working on trying new and exciting promotions to encourage our members to try out a subscription and get a fun gift as well! If you have any more questions, you can chat us from Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM MST. Our chatbot can answer most questions, but you can still get connected to a live agent when you ask! We do appreciate your feedback and hope that we can be apart of your crafting in the future!
