Terrific company to deal with, very trustworthy, prompt and friendly, they looked after our NCL cruise from Houston to the western Caribbean and all was well, thank you!
Booked a cruise through Cruises.Com The initial interaction was good, but once you booked, there was no follow up or response to email or phone messages. We booked a cruise on Royal Caribbean and our agent was missing in action when it came time for questions or clarifications. A request for handicap accessible room was not confirmed resulting in major issues with our wheelchair bound relative

I have used cruise.com in the past. When they have the opportunity to book your cruise they are very responsive. After the fact when it comes to there agents returning your calls and keeping their commitments don't count on it. The promotions that come with your cruise never seem to happen. After numerous calls and commitments not kept we will no longer ever consider cruise.com. Again. Be cautious all is not what it seems when doing business with them.
We purchased MSC cruise with black Friday sale. The ad mentioned free drink, wifi and up to $500 spend on board. It's a kind of scam. We paid for free drink package. No $500 credit to spend on board. Do not believe their ad. Also, this is not original cruise.com agency. It' s cruises.com. People confuse it.
Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. Cancellation will incur a fee and no deposit refund. Ugh
Tip for consumers:
No options to transfer booking to another cruise if you choose not to go due to work obligations.

I booked with cruises.com by accident.Boy was that a mistake. I need a care taker, they are not letting
Hard to get accurate information. Agents don't seem to know their stuff very well and it feels like a trap once you've signed up. We noticed a promotion we missed a minute or so after we booked and they said they'd fix it but there were so many half-truths being told and so much we couldn't trust that we wanted to get away as soon as we booked.
This site/service starts off well enough, but when you have made up your mind, STOP. Do not give them a credit card because they will add on fees, charges, and extra things you did not agree to and when you complain they will advise to find the itty bitty small print where it gives them the right to change your cancellation dates, add fees and this was the straw that broke the camels back for me, they added 20% of the cost of airline tickets I bought somewhere else to my cruise and then canceled my cruise when I refused to pay them $490 for insurance on airline tickets I had bought directly through the airline. When I refused to pay, they canceled my trip and refused to give my money back. I contacted Princess Cruise Line who acknowledged my cancellation and refunded the money they had been paid but Cruises.com still has $650 of my money will will not give it back. Princess acknowledged the cancellation before the deadline would result in 100% refund but Cruises.com claims they have the right to assess 25% cancellation fee if not cancelled one week prior to the cruise line's cancelation date - despite the fact that the deadline for cancellation is published in bold type on the website, there is some boilerplate buried language on the contact. Then, because the felt they were entitled to more, after I cancelled and demanded my money back, they charged another $100 fee to my credit card claiming they had the right to the "cancellation fee" despite the fact they still hold 25% of my cruise cost that they refuse to refund.
Ms. Alfonzo is the agent, she will lie to you, will promise you everything until you pay then she becomes the least helpful person in the world. The second she gets her commission on your cruise, you are toast. Refused to speak to me, refused to return a call, refused to acknowledge I wanted to cancel, and when I called another number pretended to want to book a new cruise and was transferred to her by the agent - she was rude and basically told me go to stick it before hanging up on me.
I tried to call the corporate office, they were less help that Maria Alfonzo. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
