“Store Disappeared”

Menachem G.

Users of this site have saved up points for a long time hoping to eventually buy a gift card from the rewards store. But then the rewards store suddenly disappeared without warning. Now people have all of these points and nothing worthwhile to do with them. It seems wrong to tell people that there will be certain rewards for earning points, but then not make those rewards available after people have already spent the time to earn those points.

Used to love this site. Nice mellow way to start the morning. Now they keep changing the look and with each change it gets harder to navigate. The points you earn are not being added on correctly. You will see someone that wins 4 days in a row, even though now they have taken the pictures down and it just says daily breaker. Totally different from a few years back. There is no place on the site to leave questions or issues; another sign that they just don't care. Instead of the new and improved they should go back to the original. Sad to see something that actually worked get destroyed.

When they draw sweepstake winners (2-3/day), there have been many times when the same 2 or 3 names would win, one of them twice in 1 day! When I asked if they realized this, I got a lot of blah, blah, blah... Nope, something is very wrong! I enter every day, sometimes multiple tickets, and zip, nothing...

I started Dailybreak back in 2015/2016 and for a while it was worth my time with all the brain destroying drivel about royals and celebrities. But then they stopped restocking the store. The first couple of times I asked they said it would just take a month or so. On the third and final time I told them to stop lying to me and tell me if they were ever going to restock the store. They told me some weak excuse of "Its taking longer than expected to update security and we have a small team." I finally gave up and used all my points on unwinnable sweepstakes and just deleted my account. #Procrastinatewithoutapurpose!

They give the same copied-and-pasted message to everyone inquiring about the store being restocked. If they truly were interested in their users, they would actually update us and let us know what is going on. There was a time several years ago where I lost all my points (almost enough for a $50) and almost deleted my account, but I thought it was a one-time issue with Dailybreak. Nope. They really do not care about offering rewards, just earning money through ads and sponsored posts.

It takes forever to save up enough points to cash in, seems over a year, so this time when I was getting close to cashing in, all of the sudden half of my points disappeared. So I emailed them and got the run around, for over 3 weeks, before FINALLY they put my points back in my account. So, my point is, keep a close eye on all your points, on ALL sites.

I have been trying to do Contests or sweepstakes for the last several months I've contacted the support group and they keep telling me the same stuff but I keep running into the same problem they don't verify my email address but yet somebody says we've got your email address so you don't need to get verified but yet the computer is still telling me to be verified before I can enter any sweepstakes or contests? Double trouble or double standard whichever way you want to look at it something has to give because I can't go both ways without getting some help? It's either yes or no it can't be both………. Please look into my account I haven't been able to do anything with it other than just enter onto my account but I can't use any of my points to do any type of sweepstakes or comtests………D U H?

Dailybreak often has it's facts wrong as well as often skewed "facts". The activities show points offered while not delivering, 20% of the time. Whoever is running the site also allows scammers to post in the comments section. The site had what they erroneously called a "Rewards Store" that offered no reward for several years until finally fessing up that there were no rewards to give. In the daily spin activity the "winner" of 40,000 points is often only referred to as dailybreaker. If you have time to waste, don't mind being lied to, enjoy truckloads of BS, this site might be just what you're looking for.

So disappointing to see the downfall... Rarely even updated anymore. No points for prizes, only sweepstakes entries, and that wastes my time.

I worked hard for more than a year to earn enough points 50,000 to get a nice reward. Went to claim and the reward store was empty. I emailed them and they said would be restocked soon. Not true.

The store has been empty for at least a year. Trying to reach a human for any updates has been impossible.

I have been on and off Dailybreak for about 5 months. I usually go on when I'm on hold for a phone call while at my desk. It's nothing to rave about. You build points by reading articles and doing their activities. There is also a free spin daily to gain extra points. So far the rewards haven't changed from magazines and to donate to charities since I have been on. I did finally get my magazine subscription after complaining that it was taking a very long time to receive. They offer ticket raffles for your points for prizes but so far I have not been lucky to win. If you have nothing else to do then try it.

I agree with all the other complaints. It just isn't worth it & their store has been shut down for months. I want to be properly compensated for all the time I spent doing all their activities for the miniscule amount of points they offered. I would give them 0 stars if it would let me. I have sent several messages, but they just keep putting me off with excuses. Is there any way I can send a complaint in on them?

• Updated review

Previously, if you were to message or e-mail Dailybreak about the store you would get a reply with some kind of update, but now they no longer bother. I'm done.

Feels like a waste of effort

The site gives you points for engagement and it used to be a fun way to earn some gift cards, but for about the past 5-6 months, the store has been shut down and no one can give users an idea of when it will return. They'd rather have users spend points on sweeps with little chance of winning instead of getting a real reward from the former store for using the site.

I thought that the site was legit. It does take forever to save up enough points to trade in for gift cards or sweepstakes participation. However, recently the site's 'store' has been conveniently shut down for going on at least two months. When I tried inquiring about it, I was told to keep checking back because they were working to make it more secure; they suggested that I spend all my hard earned points on the chancy sweepstakes instead of using them straight out on the gift card option. I will report them to the Better Business Bureau if the store option isn't honored as described.

Tip for consumers:
Do NOT use the site until it honors what its promises.

Products used:
This is a social media-type site in which users are invited to complete different activities for points which, in turn, could be traded outright for gift cards or used to participate in sweepstakes. The site has not honored the store component, instead allowing users to accrue useless points that, at the moment, can only be wasted on worthless sweepstakes entries.

Heidi R. – Dailybreak Rep

We're sorry that these changes are taking longer than anticipated. Dailybreak.com is a place meant for taking a break out of life and playing a game, reading an article, taking a quiz -- we do reward our users with points which they can then use to enter a high-valued sweepstakes prize or buy a gift card. Once the store is restocked we will make an announcement to all users. Thank you for your patience!

I was a member for a number of years. It takes forever to get enough points. I was getting bonus points for activities as a long time member. As soon as I tried to cash in for a small gift card (40,000 points for a $20 card!) I got banned.
Initially they said I did not know how to log in (what an insult!), my computer was outdated, typical rhetoric, then they quit responding and have refused me access to the site after multiple email support and screen shots of the refusal.
All I asked is that I be allowed to cash in and then I would delete my account and never return they refused! Apparently saving their $20 gift card is worth bad reviews!?!
