I've spent my career working in and with small organizations, some struggling and some not, to help them reach their full potential. My undergraduate work and early career focused on accounting and "numbers stuff," giving me a solid technical background in what it takes to make a business successful financially. My first attempt at entrepreneurship led me to found Big Dog Accounting Solutions and to focus on small business accounting and bookkeeping.

Because there's more to business than just numbers, I focused the next phase of my professional and academic career on the human aspect of a successful small business. Professionally, I moved toward purchasing and then into sales and I focused my academics on human resources and talent management. This "human focus" compliments my earlier "numbers focus" by allowing me to analyze a business from many different perspectives. I'm not boxed into one way of thinking like so many other consultants can be.

My out-of-the-box thinking and a natural entrepreneurial sprit led me to found Dobbert & Associates. The goal of Dobbert & Associates is to build value in every organization that we parter wit. This is done through creative approaches to diagnosing and solving problems, careful planning and relentless commitment to your success through the execution of the project.
