The Lawyer Attorney General of Ontario, Doug Downey, is responsible for overseeing the misconduct of the The Law Society of Ontario. He was a member of the Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist Board and was active as a mentor and sat on several committees. The Law Society of Ontario is responsible for the regulation of the professional conduct, competence, and capacity of Ontario's lawyers. The Law Society of Ontario is the Lawyer's Union whose members pay substantial union dues for job protection! Basically a LEGAL MAFIA of self-serving corruption! The LSO handles complaints in an unconcerned, trivial, opaque, biased and inefficient manner and does NOT balance the public's interest and its own Union Members' interests in a fair and unbiased manner. Both the processes and the outcomes are heavily and mainly biased towards lawyers. Public complaints are quickly culled in the Intake and Investigation assessments. Complaints from Self-Represented Litigants RARELY reach any actual investigation and are usually quickly dismissed before ever reaching any LSO tribunal. The Law Society's Complaint Resolution Commissioner CANNOT review any decisions. The Complaint Resolution Commissioner is a Law Society employee, hired and fully paid for by the LSO. Any meetings with the Complaint Resolution Commissioner by any Self-Represented Litigants, are a mere sham and charade to attempt to portray fairness to the biased process. Every Canadian should write and question the Ontario Premier and the Ontario Attorney General why such obvious government-approved bias, and such clear self-serving corruption exists in our democracy?
