I have purchased many games through gamersgate.com. In every case, I was convinced I had found the best price for the game I bought. As others have said, the manual confirmation of the purchase is a bit annoying if you get selected for it. I've had it happen to me twice. Both times, it took 2-3 hours and then I was able to begin downloading the games. This is the only reason I didn't rate them 5 stars. I'm cool with it because these games are so huge they take multiple hours to download regardless where I buy it. I have been excited to see games I played in my youth available for purchase that I can't find anywhere else. It has been a huge amount of fun to see those games running on modern platforms successfully. If you have a large games library like me, and your pockets aren't very deep, also like me, this is an excellent site for purchasing computer games. The selection is MASSIVE. The prices are CHEAP. Enjoy!
I tried to purchase Assassin's Creed® Valhalla Deluxe Edition on this website. I received a link for a download that NEVER worked. It is 100% scam.

Gamersgate allowed me to make a purchase without creating an account, then refused to send me a password (or let me reset my password) to create an account with that email... which they then required for me to access my purchase. Effectively they took my money then refused to give me my product. Steer clear - no "sale" is worth it if you don't get what you paid for.
I buyed two codes to Wolcen to want play with my boyfriend, and stuck in manual review...
21st century and manual checking? And this is the official store according to gg.deals? I feel like in the Middle Ages.
I bought these keys on Saturday. Nobody works there on weekends? So turn website off on weekends.
I never had an issue buying from GG before. Now they put every order I make under manual review which means my money gets tied up for several days and I don't get what I paid for, then they cancel my orders, and take ages to refund me.
It seems as though their current business model means they don't want to make money any more if they keep refusing to take orders. Oh well, I guess it'll be goodbye to them, just like other resellers over the years. They won't be missed.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid them. Buy games somewhere else.
Game couldnt be downloaded, and they refunded my tiny amount of money after some headbanging (my own) They should have made it clear that u have to download and create an Ubisoft account and when u buy on gamersgate the said game is magically activated on ubi without a key. ( how this is possible, i have no idea) maybe i will try some time
Tip for consumers:
u need to download and install an ubi account first, its something like steam. they dont tell u beforehand

Terrible service, locks you out of purchased products and offers no help. Rude sarcastic support team. Go anywhere else... absolutely dreadful.
Avoid this site! I bought a game that was not as described and without even using it, the company refused to give me a refund. Terrible customer service and illegitimate business.

This site will take your money, refuse to provide you with any customer service when their games don't work/are impossible to download, won't give you a refund when you ask for one, and then will stop talking to you as they merrily run away with your money in hand. DO NOT buy games from them unless you like giving away money.
I buy games online when new release come last week i searched my favorite games online i found my favorite games on this at best price i shopped from this site this is a great online shopping site for games.
I wish I saw these reviews before making a purchase. Gamersgate.com will take your money then lock your account! STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES
I am beyond impressed with GamersGate! They were super quick to get back to me with questions and helpful in giving me links to simplify the downloads. I ordered a game that I thought was for a PS4. They were so kind to refund me for my own mistake. I will definitely refer them to friends and family!
Purchased FIFA. Payment IMMEDIATELY deducted from my bank account. They gave me a message saying my purchase is under review. NEVER got the game and NEVER got a response to my customer support ticket. ALSO, they have no phone #!
The site offers downloads of many different PC games. Prices are average but they have very good deals once in a while. They don't offer retail games - rather the games are somehow run through an online service. I am quite confused as to exactly how it all works though.
I purchased a PC game, downloaded it through the link provided (it was a 4+ GB file so it took a while even with a FIOS connection), and went through the installation process. When it was all done I couldn't find anything on my computer - no game files, no link, no shortcut anywhere. I searched through their help section and FAQs with no luck. Finally I searched the web and found that some of their games are actually activated through Steam.com. I installed the Steam software and used the activation key that was in my order from gamersgate.com and surprisingly it all worked - although I had to download the 4 GB file again.
I was a little unhappy that I couldn't get a standalone game that could be run offline and without using the Steam service (which records all of your gaming activity) but the price was right so it is not too bad. The game runs perfectly though so overall my experience was OK.
Next time though I think I will just purchase a hardcopy of the game though. It would definitely make it easier.
I would recommend that the site clarify the download, installation, and activation process a little better.
Bought Shogun Total War 2 from them after downloading the game (which took 6 hours) and installing the game I received a error message. Everytime I attempted to open the game. I was instructed be Gamersgate to give the error message to the publisher and they would be able to tell me what the error was. The published told me it was a faulty software/corrupt file error and I would need new software. I ask gamersgate for another download they told e its against their policy to issue another download or a refund after the serial number is opened... YOU HAVE TO OPEN THE SERIAL TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME. It was no way I could have known the download was corrupt with out opening the serial to download the game. So now I have NO GAME and STILL OUT OF MY $32.85! They basicallt took my money and said you cant do anything about it! Thats like going to McDonald's paying for a Big Mac and they drop it on the floor step on it until its just mush... you open the sandwich and ask for another one... then they say "its against policy to give you another one or give you a refund because you aready opened the wrapper" -_-
Tip for consumers:
Please do not use the SITE I LOST $32 and received nothing!
I went to the site and purchased skyrim, the cost was immediately taken from my paypal account. Now it has been a week and skill no serial key. Can't play the game without the key. Emailed customer service several days ago and still no response. I will be filing a dispute with paypal today, what a pita.
I bought a piece of DLC for a Steam game for under $5 ($3.69 to be exact) and the purchase was flagged as being under review. I've bought keys from a bunch of different sites like Green Man Gaming, Humble Store and Fanatical and I always get what I paid for almost immediately but for some reason GamersGate decided my purchase of three fiddy was sus and needed to be held up. Luckily I only spent a fiver so if I end up in limbo like a lot of other people seem to be I'm not really out by that much. But yeah, I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone; especially since there's dozens of other sites that offer the same service without the hassle.
Tip for consumers:
Skip it. There's better sites that do the same thing.
Games here are much cheaper than on origin or steam. I wouldnt say they ripped me off by any means. My highest recommendation.
