I just received the vanilla and have the same concerns as the reviewer above. I did a side-by-side smell comparison with McCormack Pure Vanilla, a common brand in supermarkets. Global Goods vanilla does NOT smell like pure vanilla. It smells like candy, coconut candy. Something fishy is going on.

I purchased some of the pure Mexican vanilla received on 3/13/2017 and here is what the label says.
1. Add says Contains very little alcohol, the label says its the second major item in the bottle.
2. The purest Mexican vanilla. The label says vanilla extract but it also contains vanillin flavoring, listed as an artificial flavoring and caramel coloring. Is that pure?
What do you think after reading the add and then reading the label? Something doesn't seem right to me. Is this a small amount of alcohol and is the vanilla pure?
