I've been a Godiva lover for years and what I love most is you can send a gift almost anonymously! It's wonderful! Just put your first name and a little message and that's all the recipient will see. AND... lets not forget the amazing product! The chocolate coffee, the hot cocoa and mhmmm their divine chocolates! What's not to love?!? It's my go to when I want to send something special and yummy.

I spent almost 2 hours PAINstakingly entering 11 shipping addresses (yes 2 hours!) due to extremely slow and clunky website. This included a call to their customer service about the site issues. Then 2 weeks later all the gifts showed up addresses to me at the billing address instead of the the 11 recipients at their shipping addresses! I called to get rectification and they said there was nothing they could do! Shame on them. For such a high priced chocolate, i expected much more from them. Now I am having to reship every gift.

Bought 3 individual Godiva truffle chocolates of differing flavours from Shin Kong Mitsukoshi store in Taipei. Disappointing.
The outer shell of each truffle was hard, brittle, blotchy and cloudy, suggesting the chocolate was stale or heat-affected or both. The inner cream filling was not smooth, soft or delicate and the 3 individual truffle flavours tasted remarkably similar to one another. Overall, not the soft, smooth, delicate, melt-in-the-mouth experience one expects of a truffle. At $6AUD per truffle this was an expensive disappointment.

I have long been a fan of Godiva chocolates. I enjoyed going with my girlfriend into the local shop and browsing and trying new and different chocolates that they showcase. I enjoyed taking my time and picking and choosing what I want or what my girlfriend wants. I am very disappointed now that since they have closed up all the shops here in the US that now we are having to be content with ordering what they want us to order with no regards to what we actually want. So I am very disappointed in that. They should be listening to their customer base and get a pulse for what is wanted. I really don't think they have customer service in mind. Terrible.

Every birthday I get a certificate to use on Godiva chocolates. I love the biscuits and they also had free shipping over $15. Biscuits came promptly and in melt free packaging.

Received a box of Godiva chocolates as a gift and many of the chocolates were discoloured — white! The best before date was August 2023. Purchased January 2023. Contacted the company and because the box was purchased through one of their distributor stores and not from them directly, they would not do anything about it. Very poor customer service. Will not be buying Godiva in the future.

Godiva has certainly taken a nosedive on sales for their chocolates. They used to be good, and then their chocolates lost their quality of taste due to the ingredients they use (one is corn syrup). Then they took away a seasonal truffle (maple walnut truffles). Now I can't buy those anymore. They did sell them in the cubes, but took those away as well. Then they closed all locations in the U.S. So now it's even more expensive to buy from them. I still buy their chocolates when I see them in the stores, but only about a box a year. It's difficult to buy their chocolates when the U.S. stores are limited. I used to spend a few hundred dollars every season on their maple walnut truffles. They were a gem. Sad to see that Godiva isn't make good business decisions and doesn't seem to care what the customer wants.

I ordered online for Valentine's Day. I've been a customer for over 30 years. My old address was in their system. When I ordered I updated the order to my new address. However, Godiva sent my Valentine Day chocolate to the wrong address. I'm over here in tears, no valentines day chocolate. I will sever ties with this company after over 30 years. It really hurts, no more Godiva for me. Can you say heartbroken? For years I went into the Store to purchase, no problem. Now that you must order online it's a mess. Just to know that someone else enjoyed my Chocolate and my family and I had nothing. This pandemic has really changed life. Good businesses are closing down, done off, so sad.

Tip for consumers:
Buyers beware this company moved to online during the pandemic and still have old data stored in it's database. I moved 8 years ago and yet I still cannot receive an order to my home. BUMMER!!

Received horrible "customer service" from a person named Nya, who was so purposely unhelpful and took pleasure in telling me that she was unable to rescind an order or change it, when it was only placed late last night. Yeah, right. Nya went out of her way to let me know she was in control and that she could update the order, but chose not to. Horrible employee that should be FIRED! Self-righteous woke loser is Nya. It's people like Nya who ruin great companies, as Godiva used to be.

Valentines Disaster
I ordered a heart shaped box of candy for my wife for Valentines day. I ordered 4 business days ahead (with a weekend in middle) and knew it was tight but Godiva showed online that it would deliver on time. When it did not arrive on Feb 14, I checked with Godiva customer service and the order had not even shipped. I told then to cancel and they would not... instead they offered a 10% discount. The service at Godiva is completely unacceptable. They do not care about the customer at all. This was my last Godiva order.

PS: My review on Godiva.com was moderated /refused with following statement:

Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time! Please submit something new.

I received 6 boxes of 32 pieces Godiva biscuits today all with expiration date of Feb, 2023. Order was placed based on the on-line sales statement that products usually expire in at least 6 months. I should have more alert to the word " usually". Since i am a long time loyal customer with Godiva even after they
Close all the physical store i trusted that they would keep their promise. To make things worst, my package was missing a box of Almond chocolate bar, I asked and assumed that it will come in separate box and surprised to find out that it was sold out and they did not bother to tell me. Terrible company policy.

Placed an order on 10/27, yet to receive my order. Contacted customer services some days ago and was informed my order was going to be put through. After not receiving my order, spent over 2 hours with chat representative who informed me the item was sold out. Called and was informed my order will be shipped out. Which one is it? Absolutely unacceptable that my order have yet to be resolved.

I have been a Godiva chocolate fan for many years, especially the Dark Choc Truffles. I have noticed, in the past couple of years in particular, quality and taste of these chocolates have gone south. The rich deep flavor has been replaced with a cheap sharp sweet taste, especially in the fillings. Also customer service has taken a serious trip south as well. I received a damaged shipment (photos) and reported it right away. I got the run around for several days from "Aquiesha" in the customer service Dept before finally agreeing to send replacement. For what they charge for these chocolates, the product AND the service should be MUCH MUCH better.

Tip for consumers:
The taste has been changed. Quality has been diminished greatly. VERY SHEAP surgery sweet quality.

I ordered two boxes of this holiday Goldmark. The assortments are very different from what they listed on website and packaging. They are mainly black chocolate. Our kids were very disappointed. When I reached out to CS. This is what they replied
"Godiva does reserve the right to substitute pieces in our assortments that may not be available during packaging. "
So apparently for them it is acceptable that customers are not getting what they paid for! Super disappointed about this company. It is NOT a good idea to buy Godiva as a gift, it might embarrassed you!

My husband ordered a case of their dark chocolate hearts for my Birthday. We were sent a case of milk chocolate caramel lions. When we contacted customer service, we were given an email to contact. After 2 different cs reps we were told they substituted these because they were out of stock. They wouldn't do anything further. Great birthday present! Had to call cs again, and were finally given a refund. I have been a customer of Godiva chocolate for 20+ years. It is sad to see what this company has become. They charge a lot for their chocolate and you would think their customer service would be better. It used to be. I will no longer purchase anything from Godiva chocolate in the future.

I placed 2 orders for clients on Dec 9 2022 and received confirmation from them in email they received order. I requested a Dec 19 delivery and they have never been delivered. They have charged my credit card.
After 14 attempts to call being placed on hold emailed 8 times and texted a number I was given finally an agent tells me I missed the Christmas cut off which was Dec 14th when I confirmed the emails sent by them I was then told I'm a Canadian and it takes longer to verify my billing address - 10 days? Today I was told they would be delivered Dec 30th.
I will never order from them again and will make it my mission to tell this story of disappointment and extremely poor customer service.

Chocolates were ordered 3 weeks before Valentine's Day. I received an order confirmation. Chocolates were never received. I called Feb 15 & was told they have my order but they never shipped it and that they would over night it at no additional cost. I finally received the order 3 days later on Feb18. They offered no compensation for their screw up.

The Godiva website has been a complete disaster this Holiday Season. We ordered over 6K in chocolates for over 100 clients. Godiva canceled 18 orders. They left another order unattended and overcharged the card. Furthermore, they did not even acknowledge another 20 gifts and did not bother to send email confirmations.
They are blatantly lying about the availability of online chat, there has been no one responding for over a week. We spent over four hours on phone calls with Godiva. Godiva supervisors blatantly lied about responding back with an email and order details. Today we spent over 45 minutes on hold, the representative came on and simply hung up. Avoid this website, it is nothing but grief.

I placed a large gift order for my clients. Not only did it arrive weeks late, but Godiva tried to add an extra $1,000 charge on top of the price they quoted. The worst part of all is that Godiva neglected to attach the note I wanted my clients to receive, so I basically sent out thousands of dollars of chocolates to people that had no idea who they were from. To ensure that they fully deserve this poor review, their customer service is non-existent, as I have had to spend hours on hold and waiting for promised callbacks that never come. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Part of my order was back ordered when placed. We waited for the completion of order. When that didn't happen they refused to send back ordered item as it was outside the 30 days. And yes they took my full amount paid.
