If you decide to go with Lively on phone service, let me give you some advice. 1st, tell them that your current provider is consumer cellular, they arent going to check it. But that info will allow the phone rep to waive your activation fee, period. Which is 34.99. Secondly, tell them you are at a bestbuy, in the parking lot, they will waive the s&h of 10.00. Also mention the last person you spoke with offered the open box phones, which are refurbished, but they are 50% off the normal price. So the Jitterbug 3 at 149.99 would be 74.99.

“Customer Service is nonexistant”

I have a great call cell phone with their 5 star emergency service. This is my only phone. Two weeks ago my phone stopped working. I went to their website and completed their email form for customer service. I received no response. I decided to just buy a new phone. When I went to activate it, I found that existing customers can't activate a new phone on their website - you have to call them. How are you supposed to do that if your only phone isn't working? I finally got the phone activated, but now I've had no service for two days. Again, no way to call them. I've emailed them twice with no response whatsoever. They have absolutely no concern for their customers whatsoever. I'll be switching to another phone service ASAP. I just wish I had seen all the bad reviews online for this company before I ever got involved with them.

My mother has had the Lively Mobile medical alert for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with the service. She'd contacted the help line twice and they've contacted me instead of 911 which is awesome. The product is lightweight and she forgets about it until she needs it. Great peace of mind that I know mom is safe.

Phone is crap. Bought new at Best Buy and Greatcall replaced with a
Returned/used piece of crappier crap! Coverage is poor to fair. They said it was
Provided by Verizon, but my Verizon cell has strong signal the Greatcall
Was fair signal. Phone battery was replaced (paid for by me) twice and
Still the phone won't ring,,,, it will sound with a missed call tone, but no
Ringing. The "phone" also has a massive delay when you try to do anything.
The reps at Greatcall are friendly until you cancel then they turn
Rude and short-tempered and hang up without a goodbye,,,,,,,,, so GOODBYE
Not so greatcall,,,,,, Guessing your poor website was designed by the same crap-master
That designed the phone.

Great Call makes the Jitterbug phone for seniors: http://www.greatcall.com/jitterbug/
It has big easy to read numbers, and for a feature phone (a non-smart phone) for seniors and older adults, it's not bad. It's easy to use and can be a good emergency phone. However, with new iPhones and Samsung phones out today are so easy to use that I think they are probably better for most seniors. In my experience, the iPhone is really the best cell phone you could set for an older person. It's intuitive to use, and they can even get help at their local Apple Store.

I bought the Jitterbug phone and was very happy with it, having had a blackberry for years. However, the sales person was not clear about a few things and my bill ended up being over twice as much as I originally was told. Cases in point: "First moth free" only was for the health button; "Unlimited everything" did not include data! Also, regarding the data, it was not noted that I was coming from an analog phone to a digital one; it was assumed that my low usage on the blackberry would be the same on the Jitterbug. My usage went way over right away and would not have been noted by me except that I got an email saying my first month's bill was available to see! I ended up canceling with GreatCall and went back to my blackberry. I have sent the phone back and am waiting for my refund. Hope this helps anyone contemplating going for the Jitterbug.

I bought a jitterbug phone from Greatcall -
The phone was difficult to navigate - I decided to return the phone - suppose to send return label - they did not - I paid $5.00 to the address they gave me - after 3 weeks they said had no record of return - USPO said was deliver - I gave them tracking number and date - Rep would not accept USPO tracking number and question
The address - I spent two weeks with no resolution- giviing the run around - I finally called Citibank and they resolved by taking the charge off the next day - this company is a scammer - I
Know that they gave me run around not to refund and eventually give up - DO NOT DO BUSINESS With GREAT CALL - SCAMMERS-
