The service I received from Michael in USA, and Jackie in Canada, leaves me speechless. In my life, I've never been treated better. I had purchased the best set they had - or so I thought. Michael Kane in California apprised me of the difference between Probond, and Nanobond. They welcomed the return to provide me with what I originally wanted to do. Seamless. I was shipping the return from Canada to USA, and even Hestan's import controller chimed in to satisfy my questions about the return. It was all hands on deck. The most comforting and satisfying online purchase I've ever made.
I have been cooking for almost 60 years; my wife has been a professional cook. Based on glowing reviews, we purchased a Hestan titanium skillet [My order No 1067 from Hestan UK on Sept 9 2023]. We followed the instructions: medium heat first, then add oil or butter, lower heat. No matter what we did, everything - omelette, fried eggs, vegetables - stuck fast to the bottom of the pan. We cleaned the pan with Hestan's own cleaning fluid and returned it in the original wrapping as advised. It was in perfect condition. Hestan did not bother to read my email explaining why it was being returned, claimed falsely that I had not told them I would return it and asked again for the reasons. Having given them, they replied that they had never claimed the pan was non-stick - true, but the photos on their website show an omelette being folded in the pan perfectly cleanly with no adhesion - and since I had not returned their 'free gift' of cleaning fluid, they would deduct 20 pc from the reimbursement. Since when did one have to return a 'free gift'? I am outraged! I would never, ever deal with these people again. An absolute rip-off. Be warned!
