A friend told me about housesitters.com and I was amazed. People from all over the World get a chance to stay in someone's home, in a different city and country free. What can be better than that!
This is NOT legitimate business. They take your credit card information and charge you randomly on auto renew, or fees. My experience resulted in a series of charges on a card that I thought was inactive due to late fees. Really horrible situation. If you try to contest it, they will not remove the charges, but try to convince you that you "signed up" for a renewal. The WORST company! DO NOT give them your card info or any information on your home! Very dangerous!

Good thing screenshot it n cut the account number out. Once I figured out what was going on I dodge a bullet. Wow people got me messed up. I couldn't find his number on line either. He said he was from new york moving to jersey city. They look up for sale or for rent signs and that how they get you. Good thing I checked the address out before continuing. Crazy its a cold world. No number too for the complaint.
Most unfortunately this is an international ring. It is clear it is a scam because 1) Regardless of the city I chose, the same names came up looking for a house sitter. 2) Diaz is an example in both San Fran and in Phoenix. He needs snow removal in PHX... really? It never gets cold enough to snow there, so their attention to detail is poor. 3) The English tenses of every single person looking for a house sitter demonstrate English is not their first language. SHAME ON YOU and go build a real business - there is clearly a niche/need. Why not actually fill it?
When they are based in Canada, have 10 other sister sites and no telephone number to call … those should have been red flags. I never found work thru this site. I believe it's not a properly setup company.
Tip for consumers:
waste of money. horrible cancellation policy.

I paid the $90 fee for an annual subscription. I have responded to MULTIPLE people looking for a house sitter and have only received one response which was from a man named Steve that after applying, came back and said he's looking to hire people to do book reviews. There are no real people on this site, and I am a professional house sitter and know this is bogus. They will not refund your subscription, and now you can see why. Stay away and save your money. This site should be shut down.

I tried using the website, but there are no real people. No one responds as they make up listings and never go back to review them.
Most worthless group on the planet and they make it hard to report them! 200$a day to bring you mail in my $#*! I hope no ones dumb enough to fall for this bs.!
I created a profile with just the basic membership recently and a few people did send me messages through the site within a day. But one person wanted me to post iPhones on my Facebook marketplace profile and with promises of $500 every week and then changed the amount to $400 every Wednesday. So I declined his offer and blocked him and removed my profile from the housesitter website. I would not recommend this site to anyone and I am reporting it to the BBB.

I joined for a couple of months. In other words I gave them money for nothing. Scammers in myy text messages and postings OLD. Keep your money just say no.
This site is garbage. Nothing but a bunch of scammers with too good to be true jobs/posts. Saying they live in Arizona. Phoenix, Scottsdale etc. $200 and need snow shoveling. It doesn't freaking snow in Phoenix, Scottsdale or anywhere that would require any snow shoveling! This site does a terrible job of screening their posting parties. No pictures, no verification(social media etc) it's a bunch of fake scammers. Stay away. I will report this site to BBB. Fraudulent and misleading. You would be better off looking on indeed, Craigslist, Facebook marketplace or something of that nature. Definitely do not pay for a subscription.
Both parties that I contacted were very evasive with communicating with me. All they wanted was for me to communicate outside the platform, trying to get my phone number and email address. Neither one was described exactly what they were looking for. It became apparent that they were scammers. Do not use this platform
I have been trying to look for work for months and thought i found the perfect jobs. When i would text the numbers people would try to offer me different jobs like a facebook marketplace one where you take pictures of houses. I can not believe i thought this was real. I will just keep looking for a job the normal way.
I am a member of one of the sister sites ( sites run by the same company) and I have had a great experience there, so I thought why not try looking for jobs on this one ( I was looking for employees on the other site). Anyway, lots of red flags on this one like people offering huge salaries for very little work, really old listings ( years old), the same " person" with 5+ accounts listing houses all over California or at least the first name and last initial is the same.
Unlike other reviews on here I haven't had issues with the company misusing my financial information ( although I have never given any information to this specific website just to eldercare.com which is supposedly in the same network of websites. So it's possible that the two sites are managed by different people or something).
If it is the same company it gives one the impression that they don't have enough people to manage all their websites and this one has gone by the wayside and been overrun by scammers.
If that's the case it might not necessarily completely reflect fairly on the parent company. I'm not saying that they don't need to clean it up because they do, just trying to be as fair as possible.

I got scammed by one of house sitters and i had to fill out a fake application by that reason the fake person got all my info id even my social security.i am very worried now.why?
DO NOT USE HOUSESITTER.COM. You'll pay a fee to join and there are almost NO people looking for house sitting. All of the existing profiles are outdated, last touched in 2018.
No possible way it's legit, stay away from the site, DO NOT list any information and DO NOT attempt any services - this is a scam
One relevant job out of 294 & not sure it was legit. Save your money! This site is pure scam, no jobs to be found.
I posted looking for jobs. Scammers are all over the site and there are very few legit jobs. The site is based out of Canada as well. Complete waste of time.

We had a great, long weekend staying in Jesse and Josh's beautiful home taking care of Eno, their dog and their sweet cat! They live in an interesting neighborhood with lots of stores, cafes and coffee shops that are all walking distance with many nice parks for long walks.
