In July of 2019 we were taken for $3,995.00. Never received any information from Jetsetters by mail or email. His name was John Barr. Messages never returned. At this point what can we do?

Verified purchase

I bought luggage through Amazon with Jet-Setter. The luggage was not as advertised - too small to pack the items I could easily pack in my previous luggage. They charged to return the luggage. I will never by anything on Amazon through Jet-Setter again.

Did not use the product. Returned the luggage

Delivered on their promise. Super cool hotel in quite literately the heart of San Diego night life. Exceeded my expectations all in all and super easy. Work within your budget and give it shot!

I booked a hotel stay via jetsetter.com and got a jetsetter confirmation number soon after payment. I was told the hotel will send me their own confirmation in a couple of days. Two weeks passed but I received nothing. I contacted the hotel directly and they said my reservation was not in their system at all. I went back to jetsetter and while their replies are polite and congenial, they are basically useless. I had to contact the Front Office Manager of the hotel about the issue and they sorted it out with jetsetter directly and had my reservation confirmed. If not for the FOM who went out of his way to help me, I would have probably reached my international destination room-less.

I was fortunate my chosen hotel was a Kimpton, whose customer service is legendary. I will use Kimpton again but jetsetter.com? Probably not.

We foolishly joined JETSETTERS several months ago. At the time we also purchased an upgraded Hawaii vacation and 6 days at a Marriott hotel. Problem came when we tried to schedule them. We had an assigned agent but his phone was busy, mailbox was full, voice messages not returned and occasionally he would return a call promising the schedule our stays. He never did. Finally his number was disconnected and we were assigned a second agent. Almost identical results. Now his number no longer works. We had hoped to use the Marriott stays this summer but with considerable effort finally got one night in Kansas. That is the only benefit JETSETTERS ever accomplished. Never got the Hawaii vacation we paid extra for. I did purchase an airline ticket through them but the flight was cancelled. The airline had to refund the ticket price directly back to JETSETTERS and in spite of persistent efforts by us over several months they have not refund the money to us. For approximately $2600 our total benefit has been the one night stay in Kansas AND NOTHING MORE.
We sent them a registered letter requesting their assistance but over two months have passed with no response. We filed a complaint through the BBB and later a New York Consumers Affairs agency and JETSETTERS ignored them as well.
FYI we have found that we can find equal or better travel packages for FREE through Trip Advisors and other travel sights, and their Customer Service is far superior. When we first purchased membership we found some pretty good ratings on the internet. Now that we have experienced their service we went back to look at those ratings. All the high ratings we found are from years ago. Hard to find anyone in the last few years giving them much of a rating.
As far as we are concerned they are ripping the public off by charging a high price for something you can get for free, and then not even arranging benefits as promised.
BE VERY CAREFUL

We just booked our girls weekend trip to Montreal and the prices on Jetsetter stated our Provincial and Federal taxes so we assumed we were paying in Canadian dollars. I searched through their terms and conditions and no where on the site does it state that they will charge you in US dollars. Seeing as it was all booked showing local taxes you would assume that you are paying what is displayed. We got charged over 300- more as it was all converted into US dollars. I phoned them to say that they should clearly state that whatever you are booking will be converted into US dollars as it is very misleading. They basically told me I was SOL. We will never use this site again!

Thank you for your review of Jetsetter.com. We are very sorry about the confusion with USD vs CAD on your booking to Montreal. It looks like your reservations at Hotel William Gray were made through our partners at Secret Escapes. Per the Secret Escapes Terms of Use, which are agreed to upon booking, all reservations are charged in USD.

Here are the full payment terms as stated in the Secret Escapes Terms of Use: All prices and fees are expressed in U.S. Dollars. For non-USA Properties, rates quoted and confirmed in non-local currencies will be converted to local currency by the properties at your time of payment, based on the exchange rate formula used by the Supplier and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations and fees. Fees may be subject to the exchange rate formulas and calculations of relevant banks, credit card companies, or other payment processing companies. Any refunds will also be subject to the relevant exchange rate at the time of such refund, which may differ from the exchange rate at the time such payment was originally made. Some credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversion fees at the time of processing which are not within Secret Escapes' control and may impact the amount charged on, or refunded to, a member's credit card.

If you would like to see the full Terms of Use, you can view them here: https://us.secretescapes.com/terms-and-conditions

Again, we are very sorry that there was confusion regarding our rates. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Support Team.

I am very dissatisfied with my first (and now only) experience with Jetsetter. I booked a hotel in New York though them for two nights at $249/night (without taxes and fees). When we arrived, a basic room was $214 and the next level up was $245 (as well as more expensive rooms). Despite having paid more, we were given the basic room since we had purchased "run of the house" from Jetsetter.

Since Jetsetter acted as an intermediary between me and the hotel, I would have assumed they would also advocate for me. I assumed that the hotel would have knowledge of our higher payment and would offer us a equitable room. I assumed that Jetsetter, when this was brought to their attention, would have acknowledged the issue and worked with me to remediate it.

It's my fault - I assumed too much. That's why I'll book directly with a hotel or use a more customer focused service in the future - not Jetsetter.

Booked a FLASH SALE room reservation for The New York Palace. After booking was somehow directed to hotel wesite and found same room for 75-100 dollars per night cheaper. Some deal on Jetsetter, RIGHT. After 3 day of the run around was told oh, you are registered with Gilt.com so really are'nt one of our customers, so NO CUSTOMER SERVICE for you. I was routed to Jettsetter through Gilt and they accepted my credt card info because of that fact and refused to give me the time of day after the sale because of that very same fact.
