Found the item I needed and placed the order in less than 10 minutes. While the item won't be available until February, I was able to get it with Black Friday pricing.
I ordered 2 lights and returned them within a day because I found out they contained substantial levels of lead and were being discontinued. After nearly 2 months they never credited me back. When I called to confirm they received the lights, they said they did ( within a week of the return).I asked why haven't I received a credit. A very defensive customer service lady, talked over me and nervously said "the money is in your account" I told her I did not open an account. Her reply was 'an account was opened when I ordered the lights'. Obviously without my permission. Keeping the returned products and my money is illegal in my book. BUYER BEWARE Check the reviews. Spent over $5,000 on lights & ceiling fans for new construction. Explained in advance that I would not be able to return within 30 days because the house is under construction in another state. I was assured "won't be a problem." LIES! When I needed to return 2 light fixtures worth $600 total in order to order 3 different lights worth over $600 -- and returned fixtures were in UNOPENED boxes -- they refused. I went to management -- no help. I AM SORRY THAT I GAVE THEM MY MONEY. RUN AWAY -- THEY LIE!

Ive replaced all the light fixtures and ceiling fans in two houses in the last seven years. These people are outstanding. They are professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. On the single occasion that I had to return free a defective product, a ceiling fan, they were prompt and attentive. The 110% price match guarantee makes using Lighting New York the obvious choice.
I was sent the wrong item and was on a strict install timeline. I tried to reach them for 24 hours for a fast resolution, and after wasting a lot of time, they told me to call back next week. Very frustrating, will never order from this company again.
We bought some outside lights which unfortunately was not compatible with the dimmer we used (Lutron). I had messaged Lighting NY. Melissa Mitchell was the Customer Care Advocate who responded to my email. She emailed the manufacturers and kept following up with me. She suggested that we contacted Lutron and even after that, she still followed up to make sure our issues were resolved. She also said we could return the items. We love the look of the fixtures so we just decided to keep them. I don't think I have had a customer service rep followed up consistently as she had. Usually I am the one who contacts companies and you may or may not hear from them. She is amazing! Bec of the attention to service of the customer service rep, we would def keep Lighting NY for future needs.
They have a very strict return policy and do not try to go above and beyond given these unusual circumstances of these times. My husband and I tried to be ahead of the game given all the COVID delays and ordered lighting in advance - it took our contractor more than 2 months to start due to all the COVID delays. We spent $2000 with them and wouldn't even CONSIDER giving us a credit or anything when one of items didn't work for our space. VERY DISAPPOINTED and I wont be purchasing anything from them in the future
Avoid this company. Very deceptive business practices, virtually non-existent customer service and very poor and unprofessional service once you get it! I needed a replacement driver for a WAC light fixture and was going through various people answering phones and frustrating delays with the lighting store where I purchased the fixture. I decided to go straight to WAC and, boy, am I glad I did! A quick phone call with a friendly, knowledgeable customer service agent and the part was ordered! I am so happy I went to the "source" instead of messing around with the intermediary lighting store!
These guys are the best. Pricing, service, availability to help. They are my go-to for lighting. They are always available (at least whenever I live chat) and are so quick to respond.
Had a quick question about the fixture and it was answered by email almost immediately with a great price on the fixture and easy to check out. Not our first fixture from Lighting New York and we are definitely happy with this company and their service

This company has the best prices and the best return policy. I got the exact light I ordered, at the lowest price after looking at 10 different retailers. It arrived quickly, everything intact. It turned out it wasn't quite the right style for us, and they took it back full refund no problem. I plan to go out of my way to give them my business in the future.
We purchased many different items from several different mfg and, across the board, it was hard to beat Lighting New York's prices. Jean Marie was exceptionally helpful and patient and, if she is representative of customer support in general, you want to use this company!
The sales person was helpful and my order was processed with clear information. Their price was much better than any local dealers. I would recommend working with this company.
Getting quotes for Northeast lantern onion light and Lighting New York gave me the highest quote and refused to match or beat my local lighting companies (yes, plural). I found three companies locally that gave me quotes for around 100$ Cheaper per light of the exact same light! Buyer beware, you can get better prices looking locally!

I ordered a in stock product and a month goes by before I received a bogus tracking number. Jannette confirmed my item would ship in 10 days max. Another week goes by and nothing is shipped, so I contact Lighting New York and they just blamed it on the manufacturer. Pay attention the other negative feedback before you purchase from here. I will never bother with this company again.

So far my purchases have been great! Let's see how the woody fan fairs when it comes in and is installed.
Do not order from this company. I have been dealing with a problem on a very large order for weeks (going on months) with very slow response time, full voicemail boxes, and lack of desire to help. The fixture I ordered has an overall height 3+ inches greater than depicted on their site, and the company has been unwilling to pay for return shipping and insists on store credit. I would think that during a global pandemic, they would be a bit flexible, especially for a customer who has placed a large order. If I could give this company less than 1 star, I would!
I inquired about an area rug. Online it says they have 3 in stock and that in stock items ship within 2-3 business days. I did the online chat and had the rep make sure they did in fact have it in stock because I know that other stores were sold out of this particular area rug. She confirmed that they did in fact have 3. On the 4th business day, when I did not receive an email notifying me of tracking information, etc. I did the online chat to inquire about the status of my order and when it will ship. I was told that the items was out of stock and that it would not be in stock maybe for another 8 months or so. I then asked for a refund to which she replied that I would have to wait until they cancel the order with the manufacturer before they can issue me a refund. That is VERY POOR customer service. If you don't have something to sell me, you need to refund me my money immediately, not hold on to it until you can cancel the order with the manufacturer.

Navigation from the advertisement to the linked page to the product page to the correct size product page was not obvious. I had to look up the product on the manufacturer site, capture the product code for the correct product version and search for that on the LNY site. I almost purchased the wrong size.
Chat pop-up kept getting in the way. The 'x' to get rid of it should not require a hover over the unwanted prompt. The prompt should not get in the way of the purchase process. Chat is supposed to help, not annoy.
"LED lamping" was misleading. Had to drill down to the specs to confirm that the fixture has a standard medium/Edison socket for any bulb that meets the wattage / heat limitation.
