After a horrific experience at a hotel around the corner, we checked into the Westin downtown Dallas. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, room was adequately clean and great location. The noise outside was a bit loud but expected due to downtown location. Overall we were very happy with the Westin but especially their efficient and helpful staff.
After a late night bike Ride I stopped in the lobby to check my messages so I wouldn't disturb my roommate after informing the desk attendant I was a guest she continued rattling me with questions I told her room number and name and that wasn't enough to my surprise a police officer showed up I was shocked because I had not been rude to this lady I showed my key card and left the conversation this happened at 12:30 a.m. October 13th

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights on business, and I must say, I was very disappointed in Marriott as a whole. The hotel is old, dated and not the condition I expected for $110 a night from a Marriott chain. The employees don't clean enough. The bed linen was dirty and not changed from the previous guest. There was a used washcloth hanging over the top of the shower curtain from a previous guest, (disgusting). The place looks very unclean. The pillow had mold/ mildew stains, the carpet smelled like mold, and decades of dirt. There was standing water in a trash can in the hallway catching water from a leak in the ceiling, which smelled like sewage. In addition, I was overcharged $300. Watch your bill closely. I could not believe it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

This was one my first visit to the hotel. Food was delicious, ambience was found tranquil. Gym was equally good. The room was spacious. Cleanliness was great, no complaints. Auto system of lights and fans made our stay interesting.
