I was so scared to order but I took the chance and I am so glad I did! I ordered a 3 piece set multi moon and the curves are curving. My husband thought it was lingerie but when he found out it was smiwear he got excited and booked a cruise for us! Thank you Matte Collection for complementing my shape, I will be buying more! I am 5'6" 165lbs pear shaped and it fits me beautifully!

I wish it had an option to give 0 stars. It's like one person works here, take orders then sit on their a**. I ordered the same thing twice as my vacation was fast approaching and I needed the outfit. Why did they "ship" my item, got a confirmation everything with a tracking number but when I contacted UPS they don't have the package. Days passed and STILL no progress? Absolutely ridiculous. I had to go back and forth for a refund of something that is still in their possession. This place is wack.

I ordered an item and it was never received it never left the shipping state of GA was told they would reship the item after waiting for a new tracking number I reached and and asked for a refund I was again promised a refund it has been over a month of countless emails and no resolve… A simple refund being that I never received the item would have been great especially being in a repeat customer

I ordered multiple items and didn't receive 4. I emailed over and over for a response about this and 4 months nothing! Scammers and I tried to support a black owed business but never again. Do Better! I'll be sure to let everyone I know about this as well since I was referred by a few people that only saw them on Instagram.

Only writing this here because the owner doesn't allow negative reviews on the site. I've ordered from this site numerous times and I've really never had a problem. This time, I ordered 2 mystery basix boxes and received FOUR pairs of joggers and a crop and a bodysuit. I was disappointed about the lack of diversity and decided to write a review. That was weeks ago and new positive reviews are popping up but not the negative ones. That's shady to me, let buyers see how your customers really feel about your products. I was willing to shop there again but now I see how she operates. I can't trust a business that won't show negative reviews because we all know reviews help shape the buyers experience and decisions.

This company didn't send all the items I ordered, I immediately emailed them, it's been months later and I'm still waiting for my refund. I've emailed them several times and they keep telling me the refund is coming. It's been months, no refund!

It took 3 weeks before they shipped my order finally after I received it they sent me 1 item out of what was suppose to be 4! This item doesn't even have tags attached I'm assuming they sent me a returned skirt!

I received the swimsuit after almost a month with the invoice stating that I should have also received the dress. I didn't. After reaching out to the email provided several times over several days, I have not received a response, a credit, or my dress. I have since filed a dispute.

On December 19th, I informed the company that I wanted to return three items that was returnable for order ******* because they sent me items that I didn't order. They gave me the instructions and they informed me that I would have to pay to send it back within 14 days from the date it was delivered to me. I returned the items on the same day. The items were delivered to them on Dec. 22nd. I followed up on Jan. 8th for the status of my refund. They asked me on Jan. 8th what items I returned and I replied with a list of the items and the return receipt from the post office. On Jan. 16th, the apologized for the inconvenience of stating the sent the refund request and should take 72 hours to receive the refund. On Jan. 14th I emailed them again stating that I still had not received my refund. On Jan. 16th they stated the return department experienced some delays and I should receive it as soon as possible. I told them that, the customers shouldn't have to suffer and they need to refund me my money ASAP. On 25JAN, they stated they issued me a refund of $193.50 and said I should see it in 3-7 business days. Here we are Feb.3rd and I have not received my refund of $193.50. This company seems very suspicious and this is totally unacceptable how they've conducted business. They received my items within the time frame given and it's a month and a half later and I have not received my money. This place is a SCAM! I see this same thing is happening to other people. I'm definitely reaching out to an attorney and contacting the media. These scammers need to be held accountable.

I returned the items as instructed and never received my $193.50. So now they have their merchandise and my money.

I ordered a package with 3 items and only 2 came. Very disappointing as I ordered these items to come in time for my birthday trip. Instead of offering to overnight the item they left out or any assistance at all, they just gave me a refund. I tried to reorder the item with 1 day shipping in hopes it'll get here in time, and it still will not be here. Waste of money. No assistance, no concern from the company when it was their mistake. I am so disappointed. Be wary in ordering from them.

Buyer beware! They delete comments from social media and online. Inaccurate sizing and they photoshop models. Returned items the day after receiving and because they claim it was on sale (it wasn't), they won't refund my money. Check BBB for reviews. All bad. They operate within loopholes and are sneaky. Will NEVER buy from them again. I have 4 brand new swimsuits I will never be able to wear. Trash company. Avoid at all cost

These clothes are so cheap. When you wear them it's a one time outfit. I bought a tan outfit I could only wear once because the fabric rolled up with little balls all over it. Had to throw it away. Next I wore a dark grey outfit. The color of the fabric stained my skin, my nails, my underwear, ruined my favorite bra and destroyed my 1700 Gucci bag. They are trash trash trash. Literally throwing tomatoes. I'm so pissed. I'll never be able to use my favorite bag again! I was not in the rain, I didn't sweat. I sat indoors for about 4 hours at an event. I have never had fabric literally stain my skin and nails. I've washed my hands over and over it's still not gone.

This is a second time in a row that they've messed up my order. I received none of my bathing suits, just a cover up pair of pants. While everything I do own from there is a very nice fit and is super cute. Whoever does the packaging needs to stop with the games and pay attention to what people actually spent their money on.

Fellas, go somewhere else if you're ordering for your wife or gf. I tried to get my wife something nice, stretch budget to get her many items from this over priced collection. This was a surprise gift.
The pants I ordered her were too small. She sent a nice email politely asking for an exception to their return policy for a size change. It was a hard no, so that'll be a hard no on any more purchases.

They have changed the cut on the suits. I purchased several this year and compared them to the tops from last year which are the same style. This year the straps are extremely narrow. They also have small sleeves on extra large items. Guess what? They refused my refund. Didn't even offer to exchange. I even provided pictures to prove the difference in the cut. Keep your money!

I purchased a few outfits approx three weeks ago and they sent me an email items shipped. Completely wrong address plus the shipping track number claims it never left Atlanta. Here I am no clothes for vacation. PS I emailed them twice and no answer for a good week. Definitely a scam

Be very careful buying from this company. The swimsuits are extremely small and there's little to no support for your busy. If you're a size D or higher, these swimsuits will not fit.

Their return policy is insane! Anything you buy discounted CANNOT be returned. They even made a loop hole in their store policy. Anytime they run a sale their swimsuits are $16. According to their terms you cannot get a refund for items purchased for $16 or less. Please keep in mind, when they're running these sales, it's automatically applied. So would have to wait until their sale is over to purchase and item full price so that you have the option to return it if it doesn't fit. Complete scam and very shady way to run a business.

Read terms & conditions before buying from these shops. Some a have very disappointing policies like Matte Collection. Will not be purchasing from this store again and I recommend others to avoid shopping here.

Tip for consumers:
Read their return policies before ordering!!! They will not issue a refund if an item is bought on sale. They only offer refunds for full priced items. Bait & switch!

I placed an order on 2/28 and paid additonal for the expedited 2 day shipping. Upon checking my tracking number it still reflects at the stage of label creation so I reached out to Matte Collection via email as they do not offer any other way of communication and was told the shipping carrier (Fedex) has been having delays and to reach out to them because it is out of their hands. Upon reaching out to Fedex they confirmed that the label was created by the company but the package is not yet in their posession which is why my tracking still shows no movement 10 days later. I reached back out to Matte Collection to request my package be sent out with expedited shipping as it should have been in the first place or to see if it can be cancelled and fully reimbursed to no response other than if my package doesn't ship out at then end of NEXT week, then they will then reship at that time. So I pay for expedited shipping to get a bs response of blaming it on the shipping carrier to having to wait more than 2 weeks before MAYBE getting my package reshipped. They bathing suits and coverups are gorgeous however, the customer service is terrible. Why offer expedited shipping and then hold onto my package without even looking into why it has not yet been shipped out and instead of finding a resolution, pawning me off to Fedex just to have to circle back to Matte with no answers outside of wait and maybe we will reship.

I gave them an extra star for the advertising because that's what got me. But don't waste your money. It won't come on time and when it finally arrives, after your vacation I might add, there will be items missing and you will be throughly disappointed with the quality of those items. Also, make sure to pay full price for this garbage just in case you want a refund or else if you used a discount code they'll only offer you a store credit.

I purchased several items on 8/17/2021 for a total amount of $121. The quality and fabric are cheap and not as described on the website.The sizing is inaccurate and the items are too small. My hat has a hole and there was dye on one of the cover ups. I sent an email to express my dissatisfaction with my items. Matte Collection is falsely advertising their products. You can't return sale items. I am so disappointed in the level of service and the items received.

I'm putting this out there because their level of manipulation towards customers (especially with their celeb/insta ambassadors) is deeply saddening. Yall deserve THE TRUTH. I actually worked for them for a very short time and MY GOD this company should simply NOT exist. I was a customer service rep and quickly got irritated by the pressure my managers were putting on me to literally help them rob people. My role was to answer emails from customers who had ordered items through the website. I was told by these managers that I should avoid refunding people at all cost and to use every possible excuse to decline refund requests (decline if they used any discount or sale item, decline after the very small window of return, decline if we still have the item in stock and can "attempt" to resend it). We would get hundreds of emails A DAY from customers claiming they never received their order, only received one item from a large order, that they received a completely different item than what was ordered, or that their order was paused at the "shipping label created" stage for weeks/months, even if they purchased the quickest delivery options. Even when we resent orders that were incorrect. Most of the time they STILL didn't receive the correct items. What is the point of marketing items to vacationers for their planned trips if they have absolutely no intention on fixing packaging errors in time or refunding people their hard earned money for errors made by the company? Also just to mention, they straight up lied on their return policy (return within like 10 days only) but they PURPOSEFULLY left out the fact that the 10 day clock starts the day you order it, not the day it was delivered (makes no sense). So if you lived far or there was a shipping delay for any reason, if you were given the wrong item or it simply ran small/big and wasn't true to size (happened most of the time) you were literally sh*t out of luck because they only want your money. The shipping department was filled with children who had no chaperone or direction. They were mostly young boys who were constantly trying to talk to the females in the customer service department instead of doing the job they were getting payed to do. Man. When I tell you they were giving out incentives & bonuses to employees very frequently for the dumbest, most irrelevant reasons (answer why you like working here. Best answer gets $200) while customers were getting robbed with nothing to show for it in return. They were literally giving away other peoples money who did not receive what they payed for. It made me feel like a horrible person every day that I stepped into work. And how are you gonna put Ciera, Amber Rose, Lala, Gabrielle Union. All these beautiful black women, and market your company as black-owned but you are straight up robbing black women who attempt to order from you? If most of your company's business is through online ordering then you know what the hell is really going on with your service. You can spam review boards with 5 stars all day, doesn't erase the errors or shady business you do. The owner is straight up not a good person. Period.

THIS STORE IS RIDICULOUS I SENT AN ITEM BACK IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING AND THEY TELL ME ITS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGE WHICH IS RIDICULOUS. THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO KEEP PEOPLE MONEY FOR WHATEVER REASON. I DEFFINITELY WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN. Second time writing a review since the first one was asked through email to be automatically posted to their direct website which unfortunately was taken down by the company because they only believe in posting their "5 star" reviews. I bought the 2 piece jogger set in black, with a few others, only wore the black one so far and after a few hours of wearing it just lounging around the house I decide to look between my legs near the crotch area since I felt something weird and it's a bunch of lint balls as if they have been wore before or so. Not sure if it was worn before (since I wished I would've looked before putting them on) but I know when something like that happens so soon it means it is made of VERY cheap quality which is very sad for a company. Especially since they use celebrities to model their brand. Like, I didn't even wear them a few times before this happened. It's sad. Only bought one swim suit from them last year, and it will be my last since I had to experience this. If one thing is cheap quality, everything is. Stick with fashion nova for joggers and swim suits, or even h&m for their joggers… hell!

I just read the company was started by a twenty four year old, which explains why the customer service is so poor. I spent over $200 during a sale ordering over twenty items. One of the items wasn't shipped, I asked if the item can be included in the most recent order placed and was told the item is sold out and I would be refunded. Having a proper count of inventory is extremely important, allowing people to place orders for items you don't currently have in stock - is called False Advertising! Customer Service (if that's what you want to call it) can only be reached by email and does not provide a sufficient resolution. I'm very hesitant about placing any future orders as the previous experience was never corrected. I definitely wouldn't place an order at full price, and I have seen numerous pop up sales that haven't persuaded me either. This is why people stick with ordering from companies like Amazon. It's the customer service for me!
