Bought a cheese of the month box for my parents and they loved it. They don't like anything but food so was right up their alley - several different cheeses each month with a card explaining the names/favors. Didn't have any issues so can't complain!
Before I placed my order on May 4th, and paid over $150 for this, including FedEx priority Overnight. The ad said it would be delivered by Mothers Day, that was yesterday. I'm in the military in a combat zone and have to go through hoops just to get on a phone. Called their number SIX TIMES in an hour, phone rings and goes to a busy tone. Poor customer service, ruined Mothers Day. LT Russell Farr, Africa

I will never buy this cheese again, it has always been average quality. Tonight we had the fondue… 30 minutes or so later it came back up. I am 55, so, not pregnant. Bad cheese!
We've got Murray's 'Classic Cheese of the Month' 3-months subscription as a gift from someone, $175. It's $58 per month.
Each month we received 3 tiny pieces of cheese surrounded by excessive number of large ice packs in a large box. The cheeses were not ripen properly and tasted terrible. We had to through half of them out. The first shipment also contained piece of slate and a chintzy book to "write down our tasting experiences". This was a complete ripoff. Spare your loved once from this terrible gift.
I tried ordering two days ago for friends. It wouldn't work online so I called, She said they would get right back to me. I emailed a couple times and nothing. YOU just lost a customer, doubt they care. I have ordered in the past but had the same issue. I believe in giving ppl a second chance. No more. I found another company that was glad to take my order and for that, I will never order again.
Tip for consumers:
Wouldn't bother

Another company that knows customer service is important.
Not good! Go to a proper cheese source! The Metropolitan Market in Seattle has multiple cheese companies… be suspect when Murray's is the only brand. Especially if from a conglomeration such as Kroger…
My wife got me the Murray's Cheese of the month Club as a gift a couple of years ago and it was okay. Recently she bought it for me again. This time it was very disappointing. The three pieces of cheese we received each month were tiny. It is a complete rip off. I told my wife do bother with this company again.
Don't waste your time and money.
I hate the idea of Monthly Club inserts (the description of each cheese in a box) going Digital! Now I have to print the insert myself on card stock so I can give the box as a gift. No paper savings here, it is just passed to me as an extra step in my gift giving. I respect that they want to do their part to reduce paper waste, but they are just passing the responsibility, not eliminating waste. Also, if I have a box directly shipped as a gift, I don't want to send the insert in an email to the recipient, I want the insert to arrive with the gift. It takes the surprise out of receiving the gift if the email with the insert arrives before the gift is opened. Overall I'm mostly happy with the product, but I'm not happy with giving the product as a gift if the insert does not arrive with the gift. I may not use their service for future gift giving because of this new policy.

This is now the second time I have had to throw away cheese from Murray's. The first cheese was supposed to be "buffalo" milk cheese that wasn't (it was cow's milk, and no my allergy to cow's milk doesn't extend to buffalo milk cheese, because I now travel a long distance to get BUF cheese which doesn't cause serious allergy problems). The last was shredded pecorino/romano cheese that had BLUE plastic in small bits (the size of the ground pecorino), not one, not two but through out. It wasn't mold, it was plastic. I would show you the picture of it, but it was returned before this review. We paid almost $10 per box for this cheese (as it is sheep cheese again, not an allergen for me) found this 'problem' when I was cooking. Having to run all over town to get a replacement cheese for a dish I was making, didn't make me happy to say the least. We were NOT compensated for the the Buffalo "mistake" by Murray's which I called directly. I am mentioning this because if you have a serious health condition do NOT expect their alternative milk cheeses to be what they say they are. I can understand mistakes, but these are serious issues and problems that not only are expensive to begin with, but if you have celiac's, crohn's disease, or any other gut diseases or allergies, this could have been a trip to the hospital. They need to wise up and take their patron's seriously.
Tip for consumers:
I don't have a tip for other's other than if what you get is wrong, defective, has particle matter it shouldn't to REPORT it. They shouldn't get away with this service/behavior. Foreign item's in food isn't acceptable.

What happened is that I did get refunded, but nothing else to 'crow' about for a quality cheese provider that should know the difference between plasticine in their product could be a problem, and in the other case, that the wrong milk was used (or the wrong cheese labeled; cow's mozzarella looks like buffalo mozzarella, but that doesn't mean they are interchangeable especially if you have serious milk allergies). I ended up driving 20 miles round trip to get this 'problem' solved. The telephone call to Murray's equalled no satisfaction other than to report the wrong product.
I ordered and received a cheese that I have been eating for years. The cheese was terrible. I complained and was told. We will let our people know to be more careful. Never using them again.
The order I place on Dec 7 still has not been shipped, and today is Dec 30. Company stinks at customer service. Numerous emails giving me ship dates that came and went, and still they have not shipped. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Please read this long review in the changes and cruelty of the new owners " Kroger supermarkets " that now owns and try's to fool people thinking it's the old Murrys RIP
