My partner and I are going through the NACA program to help us own one of the most important things in life: our own home. So far the process of applying has been incredibly easy. Their website is set up to be very straight-forward where everything is labeled. There are sections, subsections, and my favorite part is how helpful it is for us to be able to see everything all together, such as our expenses. We are excited to share the news about this wonderful program!
This process has been dragging almost a year. NACA appear to have more clients than staff to accommodate those applying. I've been in program since April of 2023. Now I'm told that I only qualify for $100,000 which is a piece of junk. I should have been told that my income was too low when I first signed up and gave all my personal information instead of this long drawn out process. What a let down. Your staff need to do better. How many more people will be treated like I was. All this time I could have looked elsewhere.

Tip for consumers:
We are super confident that we will find a home that we love using this program! They also encourage you to volunteer, so not only does that feel good but it also looks great on a resume. They help you with more than just your house!
I had my first counseling session on December 22,2023 in Georgia. I must say that Kimberly Williams was pleasant, patient and very knowledgeable! She answered all of my questions and concerns. She was very professional. By the end of our session she had a to-do list for me. Every interaction over the phone was pleasant and helpful. I am looking forward to completing this process and owning my first home! I'm walking by faith!
This is a wonderful mortgage product. Although, they do not look at your credit. It is wise to approach this the same way you would any other mortgage loan. Have your credit history in order, make sure you have a great payment history and collect all of the financial documents you think you will need in preparation. The process is long and very drawn out but worth it in the end. Just make sure you do your part to stay on top of everything.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you prepare for this loan as you would for any other loan

I'm currently going through the NACA program. You have to be very determined and dedicated to complete this process. Though it's a lot, I know it will pay off in the end. As a first time home buyer, I am having the opportunity to learn as I go, which is absolutely important. I feel very well guided and confident with NACA. I've tried other options as a first time home buyer and each time fell short due to lack of communication and understanding. Excited for what may be next.
I found out about this home buying program, no down payment, no closing costs, no private mortgage insurance, no fees, they don't look at credit scores and can help people become homeowners. I have a friend that went through the program. I've already started the process and have been in communication with them. They are very helpful and I'm excited about my journey to soon becoming a homeowner.
Word of mouth is by far the most common method by which people learn about the NACA program, as was the case with you and your friend. We wish you the best on your journey to homeownership!
NACA is a great program that has helped me become active in my community and take steps to purchasing my first home. NACA has great personnel with employees that have treated me like family. The program has helped educate me on the home buying process while making sure I am a responsible decision maker. I give NACA a 5-star rating and recommend to anyone seeking a first time homeowners program.

I'm a licensed realtor going through the NACA homebuying experience, however I haven't been actively selling in the DMV area. After graduating from graduate school in 2018, I found myself attempting to navigate the job market with a humanities degree unsuccessfully and then COVID hit. In the past, I did assist clients that were interested in purchasing through NACA so I was somewhat familiar with the program. My counselor, Megan, has been very thorough and extremely helpful. I know with her assistance I will be successful.
I cannot wait to become a homeowner, praying that I will be approved very soon. I have been assigned to an amazing counselor Hervey Emmanuel who is very knowledgeable and patient, he explained everything well. I am grateful with the help I am receiving from NACA
I cannot say too much as I am not done with the process. I will update my review
The counselor was patient and easy to work with! She answered our questions and walked us through the qualification process. The process went as well as it could even during the current pandemic, although sometimes we felt like she was asking for too much information or that the date of the next meeting was very far away between them. Overall the process has been positive and we highly recommend the NACA program!
My experience with NACA has been excellent so far. I was apprehensive when they changed my counselor, but I'm glad it was done. Melody is extremely thorough and ensured that I submitted all of the necessary documentation. She took her time, and I'd recommend her as your representative.
I appreciate the Stance of NACA in terms of what they represent.
Personally, I'd hope to be further along in the process considering I've been enrolled since April(2020) but some things are inevitable.
Interesting experience so far.
Patience and Persistence is key!
My husband and I just completed our first counseling session with NACA and it went better than we could have expected. Our counselor was very kind, thorough and patient. We found out about the program that offers the opportunity to buy a house at the lowest interest rates, no money down, no PMI and no closing costs from a friend who purchased a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood. We are looking forward to the next step in the process.
I am currently here at the NACA event in Richmond, VA and Ms. Ellen Petersen has been so helpful. So far, she has gone through my files, asked clarifying questions and helped me to gather important information to clear up discrepancies on the spot. My experience has been very pleasant and not as anxiety provoking as I thought it would be. I cannot wait to get to the place where I am finally in my own space, thank you Ellen for being so kind and working with me.

NACA Homebuyer's Program
NACA stands for Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America which is a very nice program for everyone to participate in buying a residential house. My friend purchased his first home with NACA and i'm following every step he did so i can purchase mine
I've been on NACA's program to buy a house, it is very good that I can recommend to anyone to try it. You can go to www.Naca.com to find out more.
7 months in and I still haven't been submitted for qualification (pre-approval). My MC has responded to 2 emails/0 calls. Tried escalating to his manager to no avail. I paid NACA fees 2x (2020 & 2021). He also missed multiple appointments with no explanation.
I just had an ATD appointment with a counselor from a different state who said my local MC put my info in wrong and only approved me for $148k, low priority. She said I have to deal directly with him.
I've been approved for $250k with conventional lenders and have an 830 credit score. My lease is up in 3 mos. And I no longer will be wasting hours uploading docs that no one will review. NACA is a scam.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t bother giving them your money.

I first heard about this program on a radio station I used to listen to. So I decided to give it a shot during the pandemic in August 2020. Due to high credit cards debt and want to get a decent place to call my own, I'm still working in the process after 1 year. I would recommend that everyone to be patient and follow the advice of their counselor. I cannot say too much as I'm not done with the process yet. After the process, I will update my review.
While the NACA Journey seem daunting, it is a great experience, because the counselors keeps working with you to the end. Patience is the key. Looking forward to telling my sweet success story.
I wanted to buy my 1st home, and had no idea where to start, I looked up programs and came across NACA, I did the workshop and learned about the low interest rates and the Hand program, and I'm still in the process, but so far so good, I'm really hoping I'll be able to purchase soon. I will give an update once I have finished the entire process, until then I can only give 3 stars.
NACA is taking the world by storm helping everybody that is anybody to become first time home buyers. I'm in the process of becoming the first time home buyer with the help of my counselor Ellen Petersen she's been very helpful in the process by explaining everything I need to do to get through this she's very experienced and very professional. It's time for all y'all to get off the sideline and get in the game with NACA. MARK ROBINSON
I've just begun my journey with the NACA Homebuying Program, and I'm already impressed by their dedication to helping first-time buyers like me. Their commitment to affordability, low-interest rates, and comprehensive support through education and counseling has given me confidence in the homebuying process. I'm excited to see where this partnership takes me, and I'd recommend NACA to anyone starting their homebuying journey.
If you've struggled in the past with hardship, or even your credit scores and you're looking to buy a home. There is not a better mortgage out there than NACA.

I am still going at it with NACA. It's definitely been a long stressful process. But I am being hopeful that this is my year.
Things in life don't always come easy or fast, but always staying positive and hopeful is my plan. I will continue to work Faith B. And NACA until it goes thru. Good Luck to me.

I am still working with the NACA Program. It's been a few years, but had to place a hold on it due to the pandemic. Hopefully this is my year to finally purchase!
I heard about Naca in 2021 amid the pandemic and attended my first workshop in 2022. I knew when I was ready to buy I would chose Naca because of all the pros. Between then and now, I have made sure to complete all the requirements and I'm so excited to be able to complete this journey with Naca. The counselors I've had have been very amazing and most importantly patient along the way. If you are unsure, attend a workshop and see if this is the right program for you. It was for me.
NACA's primary goal is to build strong, healthy neighborhoods in urban and rural areas nationwide through affordable homeownership.
Thank you for your comments. The tens of thousands of dollars you will save compared to any other mortgage product will always make the NACA program worth the time and effort!
