Well, there are a few very good things here, that makes me give a high rate

1. I didn't see any hidden fee, everything is pretty clear
2. There's a free protection app which is a big plus too
3. I used a coupon for a 30% discount and end up with a very nice final price

Just one thing I didn't like was the very long process of the purchase, but maybe there can not be any shorter version of this process, so it's fine.

My initial American Express payment kept getting denied despite the numbers being entered correctly. It kept giving me a "field missing" error, but I did not see any fields missing and the website would not point out which fields it thought were missing. I eventually entered a different credit card, entering the same amount of data in the fields I previously had and it worked fine. Maybe there was some error with American Express? I don't know

The comparison charts on your site were key in helping me decide to go with your service over GoDaddy, IONOS, and Domain.com (among others). All researched articles, reviews, and videos pointed to namecheap as best in class. Transferring all domains from active-domain.com and DreamHost.com over to namecheap.com asap. Thank you!! I've only just bought a site with you, I've no idea what your customer service is like yet or how easy it is to use your WP setup. I'd really think that this kinda survey would be better suited a bit later into experiencing namecheap. I was dubious of you to begin with and hopefully I am not wrong. I am an ad man and maybe our company could help you communicate your business model better. We're two international ex-executive creative directors and we have worked in the emcommence space since it's inception. I've been putting off my domain purchase from GoDaddy to Namecheap for literally years because these things never go as straightforward as planned ... and sure enough my card was declined every time I tried purchasing the domain transfers even though my card has been working everywhere else and has funds. This could just be an issue from the card company, but it sure did validate my world view that technology hates me. But hey, your service is cheap and highly regarded from what I've read and includes free WHOIS protection so I'm in.

In order to select whether I wanted the DDoS protection, I had to go to another site to learn what it meant. I am not a techie, so this added a level of hassle and confusion that could have been avoided with a little bit of explanation.

I do appreciate the clean and simple layout, and, of course, the price for your service. Time will tell whether the user experience stays positive. Overall, so far so good. :)

everything went smoothly and really pleased with your service. my only problem is that i am new to this and don't understand terms like dns, and all the other that i have encoutered here. maybe try to add some info buttons to explain things a little more for the newbies like me. i expect with the internet evolving at this rate, it will be so many more others like me buying domains. it's great but it somehow feels it's made for computer engineers only. cheers guys! happy new year! :)

I'm still a little confused. It shows I bought the domains and also something called "Free WhoisGuard" I do not know what that is. I really need to register the domains but I did not want to buy something else. Can someone advise me about what additional things I bought and what it will cost. otherwise, \I think everything is good for registering the domains. There was a little bug when I was editing my "previously saved address" because the Technical, BIlling, etc. drop-downs wouldn't display the address I had just created. Other than that, the colors might do with some adjustment because for example your stars are grey then when selected it's just a darker grey, you can't tell the difference, people who are color-blind will truggle there. Everything else was awesome!

I hope you give me all the information I need in my email - I have never done this before so I am a little unclear as to how I am to take possession of the product you are selling. I intend to use it for a personalized email at first. If you could follow up and make sure I received everything I was supposed to - that would be great - and even some tips or instructions. Thanks.

Maybe explain as to why you didn't offer free domain privacy with my .co.uk domains without me having to go search for the answer via google. A little hover-over "?" icon would be all. Turns out it's that we don't need it as we are protected by EU privacy law...at least for now. Great work though, thank v.much.

Every time I try to check out with a new order with Namecheap, the address page rejects my phone number and says "valid phone number required". I can't proceed until I enter the right format, but there is no information on what is considered "valid". I am entering my phone number correctly. This is very frustrating. I have raised two support tickets and the problem still hasn't been fixed.

I love the prices, and will wait to see how the service is.
My worry is that while one year of the domain cost under $2, a 2 year purchase was over $30.
As such I did not enable auto-renew and will wait to see how much you propose charging in a year's time.
If your plan was that people sign up at a low initial price, enable auto-renew and end up being charged vastly more in future years, I consider that unethical.

Didn't score higher - if there was a walkthrough of the DNS admin interface that would have helped.
I'm currently with Joker.com and trying our your service (buying 1 domain) before deciding to migrate my other domains, but wanted to know how simple UI was to add CNAME / A / MX records etc. Even if it were some screenshots before committing hard cash. Thanks

In your layout I am asked whether I want to state a new contact address. My contact address is listed but it is in the form of a PO box number. In South Africa we have big problems with post boxes and mail. I wanted to change the address to an e-mail address but when I selected the change, I was taken right out of the site and it took quite a while to get back on again and needless to mention, I had to start all over again, leaving the PO Box as is.

This website is so easy to comprehend. The developer has done an excellent job of simplifying and professionally this website. I viewed Craylor Made on Youtube to find this website and by his honesty made me choose to use this one. Ill be using namecheap.com as my main webpage to purchase future domain names. Overall positive experience. As my first time registring a domain, I'm a little unclear about how some of the choices I made will effect me in the future, e.g. not sure whether renewing premium DNS would have been useful; adding it didn't cost me anything but also not sure if I needed it so I didn't add it. That was confusing. But you had the best annual price I could find so that's great and worth recommending!

Had to ask what was DNS that showed up at billing as autorenew. Opted out for now b/c I am a total newbie, and I don't think 100% up time is crucial. The chat person said it was 100% available guaranteed. Does that mean free if an outage is experienced? Which years did you have to provide guarantee benefits, if any? Maybe you can send me an email about it sometime. Overall, REALLY a cool experience. -Can't wait to tell some buds about it. Thx!

Please don't get arrogant, as many companies do well, then feel they can do no wrong over time.

But your service gets high marks from me for one key reason: No use of junk like Google Analytics, Captcha, requiring Google Chrome, "shopping optimization," etc.

I'm behind a strict firewall, and would not have been able to become a customer if you had done so.

So, please keep things light (few scripts, few third party objects, "social media," etc.), and please keep them clear.

Ive just joined and I really have no contact yet with customer service. I'm very new to private email and Im finding it confusing in general from a beginner's stand point. I tried to choose chat 3 times and it never seemed to open. I think I got in. I'm sure the site will get more comfortable as I learn this process. Hopefully I can get help when I do need it.
