I bought two plants and hoped they could ship the next day and they did! They were received in excellent condition and packaged very securely. I am sorry other are dissatisfied with this company. I was very impressed and greatly appreciate the effort made. I will buy from them again.
I ordered 7 plants. Six were not at all matching the online description and the other was a dinky little baby plant. I contacted the seller many times. No refund, no replacements. He claims the plants will magically turn into the plants I thought I was ordering, as for the baby plant, he won't replace it nor refund me. Please use caution with this business as you won't get compensated for their mistakes. They don't care.
Ordered 3 plants, only received 2. On the receipt hand written "sorry n/a we will refund", but never did refund. They should have let you know ahead of time and refund on the day they shipped the plants. Sent them 3 emails, no reply. Called them, the phone greetings tell you to email Pete. With the 2 plants received, one was yellow and not in good shape. Will not recommend.

I bought 9 sedum plants and when they arrived 6 of them were waterlogged, rotting and falling apart. The other 3 were bone dry which actually is better for sedum. I have hope for those but the other 6 will probably die. I emailed Pete at New garden plants and he didnt reply. They obviously dont care and thats why Im writing this revie. If they at least replied and tried to make this better Id give them a chance.
Very disappointed in the 3 supertunia plants I ordered. They were in limp condition, did not respond to being watered, and still don't have buds on them. I have planted them in hopes they will eventually bloom. The price was quite a bit higher than what I have paid for Proven Winners elsewhere, and the containers were smaller than what I usually get. Will not be ordering from this place again and have written a note to "Paul."
My plant arrived very promptly in just a matter of days, was well packaged and a goo size. I will order from them again.
I ordered 100 dollars worth (6 plants) of black snakeroot - brunette bugbane - and received 6 spikenard instead. Completely different plants, colors, uses etc. Pete does not answer emails and I was very pleasant with the first 3 emails sent. I basically gave him 100 dollars for nothing as he does not acknowledge the order mistake and will not even return the email. I will report to a business bureau in Grand Rapids if I can - this is a scam website.
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy plants from New Garden Plants - it is a scam. They do not even have the plants they advertise and send other items in their place AND do not answer the emails or provide refunds.

I ordered plants from New Garden plants in May of this year. They have sent the tracking number when they shipped it. When FedEx site showed "delivered", it had a picture of someone else's door and I have not received anything. I called FedEx and they said that the package with this tracking number was supposed to be delivered to a different address. I contacted New Garden plants and they said that they will re-ship the flowers. They have not re-shipped anything and stopped answering my emails (there is no way to contact them over the phone). I wish I read reviews before ordering. So many other people had similar experience!.
Tip for consumers:
It's a scam!
I would like to revise my previous review, which questioned whether this was a legitimate business.
I have since received the (3) blue waterfall bellflower plants ordered on May 25.
An email notice of shipping with Fedex tracking was received on June 5, and plants arrived on June 7.
They were packed extremely well, individually protected and all were healthy, watered, and correct.
Although the lack of response to emails was certainly frustrating, I likely reacted to other negative reviews and assumed the worst. This was, in fact, a holiday weekend. New Garden Plants is legit. And I would probably order again. However, the lack of prompt customer service communication is certainly a negative.
Tip for consumers:
Do not expect prompt if any response to any email.

Over the past few months, I have spent a lot of money to this company and my experience has overall been good, plants are good size and overall healthy. The plants come quickly but my problem is customer service. My first order consisted of numerous plants, all looked good but there were 2 plants that didn't survive. Tried contacting company but no response. My second and third order were nice size healthy plants but my last order had one dead plant and another didn't look healthy. I once again reached out to this company (twice) and still no response. Then I read where you have to mail the dead plant at my expense to be refunded of a new plant but shipping cost more then the plant. No wonder why they don't respond. I will never use this company again.
On May 9,2023 I ordered plants from Pete at New Garden Plants. On May 25,2023, I have received nothing. I have written emails to Pete alerting him that I have never received the plants, which I was told were mailed on May 17. I have received NO RESPONSE from New Garden Plants. I have now requested a refund to my credit card. Still no Response.
Tip for consumers:
I am very disappointed in the fact that I paid for these plants on May 9, and on May 25 I have not received the plants, have written emails to the company regarding not receiving the plants, and I receive NO reply! Now I want my payment for what I did not receive refunded. But, no response to my emails.

New Garden Plants had better pricing than other websites but you get what you paid for when it's too good to be true. I ordered three Cat's Pajamas Nepeta and two David Tall Phlox and I was NOT pleased when I saw the plants. The Cat's Pajamas did not look like they were the specific cultivar I ordered; the plants were too tall to be CPs and looked like another type of cultivar plopped into Proven Winner containers with the PW labels. The David Tall Phlox were merely stems. I don't want to hear "just give it time and tlc" when I'm expecting some more vigor and health from a plant right in its growing/flowering season. Overall, all the plants looked like they were divided or propagated from a backyard nursery to keep up with online demand but couldn't keep up with quality. This has been the worst online nursery shopping experience and I would rather pay more from a reputable website.
I received my $70.00 worth of plants. Nothing like pictured with beautiful blooms. They looked like starter plants some arrived with only 3 leaves. I sent Peter the pictures and told him of my disappointment. He gave me $11. In credit. I'm not sure this a real business. Seems like a backyard Gardner with starter plants. There is no way an owner could look at the photos I sent and not refund more. Needless to say this was my first time shopping here and my last. Don't waste your money here folks.
Petunias arrived dead, customer service non existent, many attempts to contact New Garden plants went unanswered, you can not possibly be successful with zero communication, would not recommend this business,
I contacted this garden center after my coneflowers bloomed orange instead of the cranberry I ordered and was dismissed by saying the blooms change colors when mature. He was right. They went from intense orange/pink mix to Mauve/orange mix. Pete has ignored further request to fix the situation. Poor customer service. He offers a 100% guarantee on the plants health but not wrong plants. Funny, they were tagged as Double scoop cranberry. You'd think a professional would maintain better inventory organization.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from this merchant

I ordered 4 "Silver Gumdrop" Coral Bells. Four Pink Panther Coral Bells arrived. I tried to send a letter to the address on the packing box. The letter included a photocopy of the order clearly showing "Silver Gumdrop". Also in the letter were 2 photographs of the "Pink Panther" Coral Bells, one inclusive of the 4 white plastic pots and one a close-up of the label "Pink Panther". The letter was returned by the Post OffOfice "Return to Sender, Not Deliverable as addressed". I also tried unsuccessfully to contact this company by email. How do I contact this company to either get the plants I want or protest the Visa charge?
The worst online nursery experience I've had in awhile.
I've had a ton of experience ordering plants online and I am an experienced gardener. Half of the plants that I got in this order were dead on arrival, the others were in just fair condition. None were great. Even though I should've asked for a full refund, I asked for a half refund since I figured I might be able to nurse the others back to health. They finally responded a week later saying "they'll come back in the spring "
I responded saying I paid for healthy plants and that I still wanted a half refund. I never heard back again.
I've bought from a ton of other vendors this summer filling in my landscape here and I've never had such an issue. There's no excuse for this kind of customer service. I'm going to challenge the charge on my credit card. Stay away from this vendor
I received earlier orders that were quick and healthy plants. I really wanted a butterfly bush and ordered 3 of them. I kept getting notifications that they were on the way but NOTHING came. They had been sitting in a warehouse for days. They finally arrived a week or so later and appeared to be dead. I notified Dave and he promptly sent me 3 healthy plants at no charge. I hope he was reimbursed by the shipping company. These plants seem to be thriving. I will definitely be using this company again. Thank you!
I bought 3 plants <$30.00. I received the plants wilted and planted them right away. They died a couple days later even after following the directions. I emailed "pete" but never received any response after two attempts. I don't even care about a refund at this point because it's such a small value, but it's the principle. A little customer service would be nice. Will not be purchasing any product in the future from this nursery.
I purchased 32 plants from New Garden Plants in the amount of 277.00. When I received the plants, many were dead and others were questionable. I emailed Pete immediately and made him aware of what had happened. The following day I sent photographs, a list of plants that did not survive and those that may not be able to be saved. The root system on many had not matured, which makes it almost impossible for plants to come out of shock from being shipped. It has been 3 weeks, 4 emails and no response. Although they clearly state there is 100% guarantee with the proper documentation, your only option is their email address. Not replying is simply a way for New Garden Plants to avoid fulfilling their obligation to the consumer. Nancy M.
My experience with New Gardens Nusery has been very positive. Discovered them last year just browsing for plants. Everything that I ordered was very reasonably priced. The plants arrived on time and extremely healthy. They offered a wide variety of plants in almost every color pallet, including black pansies that were not in any stores in my area. The plants that I ordered last year are thriving and just beautiful. So much so that I ordered more this year. Can't wait for them to arrive. Very informative as to care and maintenance, size, spacing and bloom times. I would love to keep them as my little secret, but they truly deserve the recognition. I Would definitely recommend them. Sorry that I don't have any current pictures as we are just coming out of the winter and they are not in the bloom stage yet.
Tip for consumers:
Try them, I think that's all that it will take to convince you.

I had 1 great year with this company. This year I ordered in feb for an april delivery. The plants arrived and 3 had black leaves. I believe they froze or were stressed out and dry for too long. Contacted them numerous times (you can only email them) and finally they replied that they thought they would survive. I wanted healthy plants not ones that I would have to nurse back to health. Well they died and multiple texts were made again and I got the one that they would replace 2 plants. 100% guarantee they say. WRONG! It's almost june and no word or plants. Bad bad. Customer service! Last year I changed the date on my order and they took the money out twice. That was an ordeal in itself. Why go back? I did get great plants last year and silly me I thought putting in my order early would guarantee me my plants. Buyer beware!
Tip for consumers:
Pls dont have any problems with them. You are at their mercy because you can only email them.

We had ordered 6 of the Karl Foerster 1 quart jumbo size plants. They were delivered promptly but when I unpackaged them we had 4 good sized cluster of grasses and 2 pots that were extremely sparse with plant seedlings. It looked like one pot had been splt into portions and some of it was then put into two separate pots. It was unimpressive. The items were on sale but it seems we were still over charged for what was delivered.
Recently placed an order for 18 plants, shipping sent package to Georgia
But I live in New Hampshire, the site owner Pete could care less about my order
No plants. Communication. Resolution, had to shut them down on my card for payment
