Having been with o2 for some time now I find that even although I do not buy my phone from them that they are more than delighted to help just so long as you have an account with them. Taking phone problems into one of their stores and the staff who really know their stuff get to work and you walk out feeling so relieved that it has all been taken care off.

O2 cancelled my account during the night without warning.I have always paid on time and never done anything wrong.this has now cost me a days pay.my phone was completely shut down. I went to the o2 shop who got me on the phone to customer service,who were completely useless. I ended up getting a pay as you go from 3three (who so far seem to be more professional). O2 have even now added insult to injury by demanding £110 for the remaining 5 months that were on my contract. Avoid this firm

The website is so quick and easy to use. I can top up my account, view my plan usage and even look at the extra bolts on (I'm on Pay as you Go). This used in conjunction with the app is amazing!

O2 worst network provider do not join any circumstances. They prey on vulnerable, start you off on a 2yr contract with low prices and they spike the money doubling the price ridiculous. I cancelled my contract 4months back at end of 2yr for them to state I owe £61 stating the account was still running after the 2yr period and wasn't cancelled by O2 even after I requested it be canceled and I was using a new sim. Saying they would send a debt collector to collect the £61. They're running my mental health horrible network. Do not join

Awful, awful company who have messed up my credit score due to an error at their end and now I am paying the price for their complete and utter incompetence. Customer service is a joke, I have spent hours making calls, sending emails and visiting my local store to be fobbed off and told to contact a different team or department.
O2 seem completely unconcerned about the financial and emotional consequences of their mistake.
My husband will be leaving them too and I will be looking to complain as I am sick of trying to sort out their mess.

Husband elderly. Rarely used phone in a year. Decided to cancel and get refund as not on contract. Called. Explained. Told me to wait. Waited 2 1/2 hours of music playing. Never checked in with me. Nothing. Left phone on table as i did housework. Finally ran out of air time as needed charging. Will contact Trading Standards as an appalling company. Treat customers with total disrespect.

When something goes wrong, O2 do not want to help. Their automated chat will tell you 100 times they're too busy, check back later. Staff are even more autonomous, not giving a stuff about customers. There are better networks out there, faster and cheaper. Ditch O2 asap.

Avoid at all cost. Appalling, unhelpful and unsympathetic customer service. Only thing important
For them is to make sales but don't care about customers concerns at all. I have left O2 today after more than a decade. Will switch to another provider

Useless customer service. They have no knowledge and are unable to resolve any of my issues. Please spend your money with a network that actually care about customers because O2 don't.

We are a business but o2 turned my mobile off 3 times for no valid reason, the paid us £213.98 compensation in 2020. But this year they have done it again 4 times in October, November and December we are parting company with o2. I very strongly recommend everybody to stay away from o2

I took out an £8 monthly contract on August 7th 2023. Cancelled it on August 10th with their agreement as they gave no phone service where I live. On Sept 1st they sent me a bill for £86 and I refuted it by phone and via email as the contract had been cancelled and stopped their DDM. They registered a DEFAULTED Debt against my name and took my Credit rating from 995 to 425 in one second, destroying my life and business. Months later I am still struggling to have them respond to anything after DAYS on the phone with incompetent people who make promises and do nothing. They are a despicable company and should be bankrupted.

Avoid like the plague

I switched my account to other network provider after 18 Years from being with o2. Because I received very bad customer service and signal coverage. Now after 4 month switching the account and 4-5 times calling them to close my account (my contract with them already was ended), still they send me monthly bill and charge me extra for late payment! I paid about £100 extra for the sim card I Dont have and the service I don't use. Every time I call them takes me about an hour on the phone and they promise to send me final bill and closing the account but again next month they send me a new bill! This kind of scam has to be stop by UK government

I recently switched from o2 to a different company. Having been lead to believe that I was on a rolling contract I could cancel anytime. Upon switching I was informed that I owed them £368 for finishing a contract early. I had no contract with o2, never signed or agreed to anything as I own my handset. I tried to complain over the phone but every time I was transferred the line went dead after 29 minutes (I've kept records). I emailed them and all they did was summarise my complaint. Did not look into it at all. They sent me emails saying the debt was now being moved to a recovery agency. Not once have they looked into my complaint. I am now seeking legal advice as I believe that someone has fraudulently signed me up to a contract. DO NOT USE O2! After 20 years as a customer I'm glad to see the back of them.

Be very very careful and record conversations.

0 Bro 0, Simple 0 rating. Their technician team does not speak English. Even though It's a UK-based company. The Technical Team cut the call the minute you talk in English. I thought they would have a Technical English Department hence I took this service. I did a huge mistake taking this internet service in Germany. Now I am tied to this horrible company for 2 years like an unhappy abusive marriage.

-They are really rude on the call. They talk down to you as if you are an idiot for calling them. The so-called English Speaking Customer Service Department

-The internet activation was a huge failure.

-I was given an appointment for the technician to come. I didn't go to the office. They didn't come and closed my ticket. ******* Excuse me! The Internet is still not working! And how can you make someone wait and don't come? What kind of horrible service is that?

-I get transferred a hundred times between Technical and English Customer Service like a ping-pong just because I don't speak German.

-Apparently, I have to go grab some German Dude from the streets for me to speak to the Technical Team in German. Wow! Brilliant. Make the Customer do all the legwork

Can at least one of your "staff / advisors" respond to my incoming messages, as usual your company seems happy enough to take peoples money, provide a less than mediocre service and do nothing nothing about peoples complaints!

Bad customer service, absolute crap never take a line with them, they will credit serch on your name and even when you pass they will not give you a line cus thier system is so old and cant complete the order. Call centers in India who can't understand the basics a bad bad experience and don't know why virgin handed them the lines

Cancelled my account 6wks ago, via an unnecessarily long phone call to the laughably entitled 'Customer Services Team'. They confirmed the account was cancelled without fees on the authority of their manager.

6wks later, I have emigrated overseas and they are STILL trying to take direct debits, sending threatening letters and emails threatening to negatively affect my credit rating.

12 emails, four submitted complaints via Resolver and the Ombudsman and O2 haven't read or responded to a single complaint.

I've just spent an hour on the phone to O2 from the other side of the world, running up a huge phone bill, to have them refuse to apologise, in any way, for their incompetence.

I am now having to call them AGAIN and speak to the Payments Management Team to ask whether they have affected my credit rating, because the wait was so long, they just cut me off after 48 minutes.

Why am I being forced to do all the running around? Whose fault is this? Who have been seriously incompetent here then refused to apologise for it?

I will pursue this complaint via the Ombudsman until my dying day, purely as revenge for this appalling, incompetent business.

Having had numerous experiences of new mobile phones and different companies recently I have to give a big thumbs up for O2's helpline on their website. I got through to a guru for online chat advice very quickly on several occasion and received clear advice and help from very pleasant staff. Hurra for O2. (Today anyway!)

Was with o2 for about 15 years gone right downhill customer service shocking so went to tesco mobile £34.99 a month for a s23 with the same allowances as i had with tesco and no sneaky yearly inflation price hike go to tesco and save your money.

A SCAMMER, A FRAUD COMPANY
As my bill was going up 50%!, I called them if I can cancel my contract without paying any early disconnection penalty on 31st March 2023 around 16:30. The guy clearly confirmed that I can cancel the contract without paying early disconnection charge.
Now I got a HUGE bill including the early disconnection charge!
If this is not a scam or fraud, what is it? Why this kind of behaviours are allowed in the UK? This is illegal and this is a fraud.
The company should not be allowed to do any business if they conduct this kind of illegal activity.
Their customer service are awful. They can't speak English properly and calling their customer service wouldn't go anywhere.
Needless to say, their date connection are simply dreadful. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

On the weekend of the 9-10 of September I was in Belgium, putting my trust in your "roam like home" (EU) experience covered within my contract.
Last time I checked Belgium is still in the EU but despite commiting to provide my with the ability to use my data package anywhere in the EU, you left me stranded with no data all of that weekend, resorting to public wifi or buying a separate sim card.
None of your representative was able to help, some completely clueless and unprofessional and others just gave me no solution, except for opening a ticket to some tech team to look at within 9-15 days.
A complete joke considering I was in Europe for 24 hrs.
I travel frequently on short trips for work, and it's clear that your services are completely unreliable on all fronts, so as soon as I returned home I requested my PAC code via sms.
The sms informed me that I need to pay £337 to leave you.
You are in clear breach of your contract with me by not providing the services you committed to so there is absolutely no way I'm paying this money to leave you.
Seeing this I called to make my complaint known and looking to cancel this breached commitment money, but no regular support team member can help me, only a manager.
I've requested a manager call back on the 12th of September and was told that would take 24 hrs.
Those have passed, I call again, 24 hrs more, those pass I call again, and this time I was told that the manager that was supposed to call me was unavailable to make the call, so no call was made.
Rep wad really sorry and even promised a manager will call me today and that by end of her shift (8pm, 14th of Sep) she will call me to check in if someone hd called.
Not the manager nor the rep called back.
Tomorrow - now 72 hrs after I've requested a manager call, I will call again, and I'll either not get off the line until I get a manager, or I will call cs consistently throughout this day and every single day that follows until you release me from this horrible commitment that you as a company breached.
The terrible service definitely pushes me even further away.
Worst mobile company I've ever dealt with in my life.
If you don't release me from my contract with no expense I will be suing you. I've already started sharing this all over the review site.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Thought I would update on my situation and how bad O2 is, I switched to the 13 pro max 1tb as only one they had in store and put deposit down for the 14 pro max 256gb which collected 11th of November so got deposit back and handed back the 13, it's now 16th March and still left with paying for the 13 not the 14 as found out in the end the las cancelled the wrong contract not only that but she put the returning device as the 14 pro max 128gb when I got the 256gb for starters but it should of been the 13, the store isn't interested and won't take responsibility and either will customer service as been to the store 7x as customer service tell me I have to do it in store, and been on the phone 8x or so as the store tell me they can't do nowt that I have to phone customer service, got trading standards involved as o2 have breached the contract,

Kept being told lies and promises told I would get a call back twice and I didn't, told I would get a call back from a manager I didn't, told I would get a call back today I didn't, told I would get my money back 10 days after the 15th February never did, waiting on money still, told I would get the phone first as started nee contract and then send this back but not received phone yet told need to send this one back first, so all in all switch up is a waste of time and o2 as a whole is a scam.
