It seems there are many negative reviews about the parisattitude. However, my own experience was good. My trip took place in May 2010. I was trying to find a place with a bed that's big enough to accommodate my 6'2" husband. I emailed Parisattitude & the agent respond immediately with 3 suggestions. The 1st one wasn't available by the time I replied but the 2nd suggestion worked out great. I got the invoice for agent fee & the lease (both in French & English) within a few days. It's a hassle to have to wire money plus the bank fees. I had a great stay in Paris.

Most ethical business have helped people over Covid and I think other people should be made aware to read the fine print of your contract incase anything unforeseen should happen when booking with Paris Attitude … because they will never see their money again no matter what. It would be better to book through a different agency or book direct in my opinion. I've learnt the hard way unfortunately lost over 1000. 00 Euros Jackie Morrey

I am still waiting for the return of my €1,600 deposit. Paris Attitude have said that I need to go take the Landlord to Court (also at my expense). They are still using this fraudulent Landlord, knowing that he still has my money. DO NOT USE PARIS ATTITUDE.

Tip for consumers:
Paris Attitude take money for setting up a property rental but do not assist with fraudulent Landlords.

I spent a lot time to get an apt with Paris attitude but at the end I refused the offer after detailed investigation.

First off, I spent 3 months to schedule appointments to view appointments. They don't update their listings so I wasted a lot of time.

At the end, I viewed 4 apartments and only the last one was clean. All the rest are small, dirty, over price. The last one was nice but here is the story.

Paris attitude sent me the contact. I asked my friends to reviewed it. Paris attitude did not mentioned I will need to rent it as second home and need to very high housing tax if you live there on Jan 1.

When I choose the apt for viewing or they sent apartments to me, there is no mention about second home with tax.

When I asked about return deposit, they did not mentioned the rules and it is from the landlord. There is no agreement between landlord and tenant on when you will get the deposit back.

As for cancellation of rental, there is no protection. There is no compensation and the agent may find you another one. If you pay down payment, deposit etc, you will need to ask the landlord to get it back.

If there is a flood, the agent says you won't get the insurance policy to review it in advanced until you pay all the fee. The agent N said it is a standard insurance.

About rental agency fee, it is one month for a year rental as it a second home. For primary home, it is a lot less but you never seen such offer in Paris attitude.

They work for the owner to get higher rent and they get higher agency fee by renting the apts as second home.

I searched on other agencies and found out they did list the fee for primary home and secondary home as an option. There is no such option in Paris attitude listing

Where do I begin? I've lived in Paris several times and have attempted to use Paris Attitude twice but have only done so effectively once. Years ago I reached out and they eventually stopped responding so I ended up going with Lodgis.

I decided to try again with them during the pandemic, they happened to have an apartment on the exact street I needed to live on, for complex pandemic related reasons. I want to be clear this is the only reason I chose to rent with them, as the Google reviews made me anxious.

The apartment was discounted due to Covid, but still insanely overpriced for a building with no amenities. I've lived in Paris long enough to know that it's expensive and that you can't expect tons of amenities like you can in other large cities. But the normal price of this one-bedroom apartment was 3400 euro, I had a discount of a little over 15%. The apartment itself was beautiful, well-stocked, and well furnished. However, for that price with no cellar use, no concierge, and faulty security, it's a bit much. Additionally, when I requested to change the name on the DIGICODE system, I was asked to pay something near 200€, I decided against it, and with no concierge, this lost me many a package over the months.

My rental advisor was Elhadji. Funnily he was the one who all those years ago stopped responding to me. But I am not here to write negative things about him as he did his best to be helpful most of the time. We had some unpleasant exchanges to be certain, but mostly due to my frustrations with the landlord

Furthermore, the landlord, who I shall not name as she's apparently a prominent lawyer, is the absolute pinnacle of a useless landlord. Generally unwilling to help, rarely responding to emails unless it was because something needed to be done in the building for her sake as a landlord, not on behalf of the tenants. The building is not being maintained as it should (was always smelling of mildew, had a flood in the lobby that was left for over a week). Her emails were always rude or dismissive, and the two times we met in person she conveniently refused to speak to me in English regardless of the fact that we went to the same school in London (which you couldn't attend without above decent English).
My upstairs neighbors were ABSOLUTELY horrible people. The absolute noisiest human beings imaginable. I have months and months of recordings and videos as proof and still, she sided with them often; likely because they apparently purchased their apartment, were typical upper-class French family (bankers apparently) vs. short term renting, American single woman with a more "unique" CV. Even after I confronted her about her preferential treatment, she denied it. And I lived for 7 months in absolute misery because of them. My career and mental health suffered because of their antics.

So let's continue…. There's a common chimney sweep scam in Paris. I was a victim of it and became aware that it was a scam during the fraudulent visit. I began recording the man who had entered our building somehow as I chased him out of my apartment. He ended up physically assaulting me and I caught it on video. Police were no help, unsurprisingly. I didn't send it to the landlord until after I moved out but as of now have received no recognition, no apologies, not even a receipt of the videos which I only sent for the safety of the remaining tenants and the neighborhood.

My point is, you can trust Paris attitude with thousands of euro a month and still they seem to have low standards for their landlords.
Since checkout, the team that does the inventory has not been in contact about my deposit, it's been nearly 3 months. I had to contact them and of course, their response was that I left the apartment in horrible condition and tons of stuff needs to be replaced. It's ironic because when I arrived in the apartment plenty of the linens and furniture had white hairs all over them, and the floor as well, not everything was spotless as they so claim. But apparently, I'm the unclean one. This woman literally wrote to me that I didn't uphold my responsibility in the way I left the apartment, but every other apartment I've lived in, Europe, US, Asia has a very thorough cleaning process between tenants and this has increased tenfold during the pandemic which is exactly why I did only surface-level cleaning.

I am of course anxious about not receiving any deposit as I've seen in many of the reviews across the internet. But I WHOLLY expect to be denied any deposit simply because that entire team hates me as a tenant and has not been supportive for much of our working relationship.

Avoid.

DO PAY ATTENTION TO REVIEWS THAT TALK ABOUT NOT RECEIVING BACK THE DPOSIT!

It's been 2 months since I moved out of the apartment and I am yet to see my deposit. When you sign the contract for the apartment, you are asked to pay rent and deposit on ParisAttitude website, which makes you assume that they are going to be the ones responsible for refunding deposit back to you. This is not at all the case! Your deposit is released to the landlord, who is then responsible for refunding it back to you.

I have made it known to Paris Attitude that my deposit has not been returned to me and asked for assistance. They tried to contact landlord a few times to no avail. In the end, they told me to get a lawyer or file a complaint to some government organisation. To make matters worse, they refused to take down this landlord's listing from their website (see attached screenshot).

NOT ONLY PARIS ATTITUDE WILL NOT HELP YOU TO GET YOUR DEPOST BACK, BUT THEY WILL ENCOURAGE YOU TO RENT AN APARTMENT FROM LANDLORDS WHO HAVE SCAMED OTHER TENANTS

I used this site to book a short term apartment rental in Paris last year. I had my eye set on a specific apartment located in the Marais district and was excited to find it available given the limited time frame I was working with. Unfortunately, the booking experience was entirely FRUSTRATING. Disappearance act of booking agents for days, incorrect paperwork, slow coordination between renter and rentee and cumbersome payment transfer to renter. While the apartment was cute as a button, it was definitely not worth the hassle. My security deposit was also not returned to me for a couple months minus ~$100 due to wire transfer fees. HORRIBLE experience.

Please avoid such services as parisattitude.
I have had an awful time with ParisAttitude. I rented an apartment in Paris in May 2008 and paid a 600 euro deposit that they said would be reimbursed 10 days after our departure. I have been emailing them for the past 4 months and have still not received the reimbursement. Their administration claimed they were having "a big delay in sending it back". Email after email, they said they would look into it and get back to me and they never do. Now they seem to be ignoring my emails altogether. I cannot express how angry I am with ParisAttitude.
Now i'm using several services such as http://glamourapartments.org, http://gatetoparis.com
