I've actually had a good experience with partypop. I've been a customer since 2001 and don't look back on it. It's my promotional tool. I have gotten more jobs ever since then and I have referred people to the site for other entertainment options and ideas for parties. Partypop is my way to go for advertising. Very pushy woman. She hounded me until I agreed with her service. Then, she doesn't deliver. She claimed she was always on the first page of Google. Maybe somewhere, but not in my area. I don't come up at all and she doesn't want to let me cancel. Check first to see if her clients come up in your area.

Why don't they enter this century and be polite, service oriented and calm? NO, they are insane, calling every half hour like chickens with their heads cut off. They use aggressive, challenging tactics instead of concerned, helpful and polite manners. Who on earth would want to speak to these fools even for one minute? I've never met anyone that spoke as fast on the phone, what is this a race to see who can talk the fastest and interrupt the most? Are you in kindergarten for evil people? Ely is just a fast talking crazy chicken

Shula Datner has commited yet again another fraud by taking a payment of £312.00 out of my account as she had very craftily stored my credit card details. She is a very nasty person, she has a lot of convictions against her and recently with some property fraud too. I asked her to refund me my money and cancel the contract but I still haven't received my money. She refused to give me my £312.00 which she took out of my account as she had my card details stored. Please do not have anything to do with Partypop.com as she is a fraudster. She told me that this years payment would be £240.00 but charged me £299.83. Now she is sending me the payment in dollars $240 which comes to £187.50. Is she thick? You will not get any customers from her website as it doesnt come up on the search engine. Wasted my time and money. I am taking her to the cleaners.

They are horrible!
I placed an ad 10 years ago. They put a nice page up for me at first, but when I looked at my page from a customer perspective, I found the page would redirect to other websites, or a different phone number than mine. I also had no luck with managing my own profile as we can do with most websites of this type. They bullied me and tried to own my business. I was the only one of my specific type of business in my are, but they soon used my profile to enroll every other person of the same type of business in my area. During the years I advertised I received four good leads. I also experienced billing issues where they would charge me way ahead of time, or too much, and when I asked about it or complained, Eleanor called me a liar. I am so glad I keep good records, or I would have been ripped off. I left because it was not worth it, but was rudely bullied by a woman named Eleanor who would not take my demur for an answer. They refused to take my page down, and never did anything I asked. My page was still on Google, but customers could not reach me with my own communications-they were crossed out. So they kept using my page to attract customers for their other vendors. Trust me, save your money and do your own marketing. It is not worth the money. Partypop was a complete rip-off.

The owner Shula Datner has committed fraud by charging my card after I told her I wanted nothing to do with her site. Finally my bank stepped in and gave me a new credit card. Who does that? Commits creditor card fraud for $16.00. Pathetic thieves

A PartyPop rep called me out of the blue and began by thanking me for signing up for PartyPop. I told them I don't recall doing that and then proceeded to ask questions about who they were and what service they provided (I had never heard of Party Pop). When I finally made it clear that I had not signed up, the guy hung up in mid-conversation.

To be clear, I am very polite on the phone when dealing with cold-call sales people because I used to do it and I know how stressful their job actually is.

They are like a good prostitute. They give you nothing but a light bank account. They told me I could cancel any time. I took one month. Not one call.It just so happened I changed credit cards and they did not have my new number. No way they were going to get the new number. The lady does fast forward talking. Like the other people she was rude and pushy. They told me I would have to send them a check for two more months. One of the three biggest lies in the world. "The check is in the mail." I am with gigmasters and gig salad. Get lots of request. Any time I call either one I am treated with respect and all of my questions and concerns are taken care of very professional Also the two places I am on charge less than party pop. Be smart do not even go there.

After I paid for a membership for my performer business, www.ZeCircus.com, the profile looked terrible and I didnt like the layout of the site. Even with a paid membership I felt invisible. I called to cancel and got some sleazy manipulating hard sales about keeping the account. After I gave a firm response to cancel they said "ok, we'll cancel. But we are still going to charge your account for the next three months." They don't even make the terms and conditions available. I'm not sure if they have any terms and conditions. I'm calling Visa to put a stop payment today.

Partypop is a great site for my band. I always ask the people who call how they found me and they say on partypop. It's pretty good because I can put pictures and videos on my page and people can see what my band is all about. I like the exposure.

If I could give them no stars I would. I have spent several hundred dollars with this company. Was not happy and did not get any kind of ROI I didn't even break even.
They called me again to try and get more business from me. I was going to tell them my feels but, dealt with a terrible customer service rep who stated to me that she didn't care what I thought. One thing led to another and I dealt with several more reps who also didn't seem to care. Finally spoke with the office manger Shula who was very nice and appreciated my input. However, it was too late for me I was done with them. There are too many other companies out there that do what they do. My advice is approach with caution and don't believe what they tell you. I don't see them showing up on search results much if at all and I ask all of my clients how they heard about us and no one ever says partypop.com

I have not registered with them. They cold-called me and tried to sell us on their site claiming they were the biggest search engine for events in the world. I checked it out and didn't find ANY other party venues listed in the three county area where we are located. The guy has emailed and called nearly every day for the past week. I keep saying "NO!" but he persists. Stupid.

I paid party pop several months to be on top of the list for DJs in the Louisville area. According to them I had 972 views but no 1 single contact from anyone. When I ask them to move me from the paying side to the free side they completely took me off their site. SCAM. Don't WASTE YOUR MONEY..

We have been trying to cancel our account with them. They ignore our calls and emails. We are a family business and my mom set up the account. She hates dealing with them because they are very pushy and won't take no for an answer. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THESE PEOPLE. IT IS LIKE SELLING YOUR SOUL TO THE DEVIL. THEY HAVE 99% BAD REVIEWS FOR A REASON... THE ONE GOOD REVIEW WAS PROBABLY DONE BY THEM. WARNING WARNING WARNING!

THEY DESERVE NO STARS! (this site makes you select at least one)

Here's a letter we emailed them today:

You guys are very pushy, rude and harassing to vendors... no other listing company behaves the way you do which is probably why you can't even be found on Google anymore... no one wants to deal with your pushy, overly aggressive sales tactics... learn from gigsalad and others to treat people with respect... you really need to change your business model and get with it because your approach to vendors is a real turn-off and you're nothing without us... don't live up to the agent=vulture stereotype... learn to be a business partner instead of a predator... it's assumed your snarky callers only make commission with their attacking approach... time to change your ways before you disappear altogether... can't wait to post this elsewhere and really help your business... i mean it... you really need HELP

Years ago, PartyPop used to rank pretty high in search-engines, but not any longer. And meanwhile their ad-prices are high and the delivery is low. In fact, I was not getting any results, and I called to cancel and they never canceled my account! Now, they tried to get me to renew and used bullying behavior and flat out lies. They told me that my site ranks well on Google because I have it listed with them! Um, my site ranks well because it's got good content since 2005, doh! About 15 minutes into my conversation with them about why I wouldn't be renewing, the sales guy, Eric, started yelling at me and insulting me. I told him that not only was the PartyPop service very poor but his attitude was poor as well. This is a very unprofessional organization that lies and bullies its customers, most of which are small businesses. Don't give a cent to them, it's just money down the drain.

This is unbelievable. I have not received any business through partypop and I have been trying to cancel my account and receive my refund for weeks. All my emails are completely ignored and no contact attempted by this major scam. I am considering legal proceedings against the company and possibly, if enough of us rise up a possible file action suit. I cannot believe the rudeness and disrespect I am receiving from this pseudo-advertising agency.

After numerous emails and telephone calls with them trying to sell their stupid site i eventually, stupidly, agreed to try it for their minimum 3 month period. After 4 months of no enquiries whatsoever, i emailed them to cancel payment. Despite requesting confirmation of my email i didn't hear anything back and 3 weeks later i was charged again. Luckily my credit card company have dealt with preventing any future payments. I would like to warn anyone else to stay away from them. Apart from them being rubbish at what they claim to do, their lack of contact leaves them to be extremely unreliable business people. I have wasted money on them and plead other people to do not do the same. The good reviews on here are probably written by themselves! STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE

Partypop.com has a sales division consisting of independent contractors. There is no customer service training, and these agents are only paid if they make sales. Certain businesses do better with Partypop.com than others, certain categories do get a significant amount of exposure and business. That being said, there is no regard for the categories that need improving, and they are pushed to be sold just as hard. I feel there is a lack of integrity and honesty with Partypop.com. I do not believe it is coincidence so many reviews have been posted specifically regarding customer service ethics. I hope something is done soon regarding Partypop.com's business practices. I have heard numerous accounts of people receiving little to no business at all through Partypop.com.

Never in my life have I been spoken to by a "Customer Service" Representative. Party Pop has absolutely no Customer Service standards whatsoever! Even their manager was extremely rude and have not a care in the world for their clients valid complaints.

Their harassing sales methods are despicable. It consists of asking you what your current methods of advertising are, then scolding you and attempting to make you feel inferior, thus bullied into purchasing ad space from them. Even after specifically stating that you don't want ANY phone calls or sales calls, they leave false messages stating they just want you to call back to make sure they have the correct contact information.

After owning a successful business for over 10 years, I have never been spoken to so rudely in all my life. It's disgusting the lack of standards they have in their business. They should be ashamed of themselves for the mind games they play. Absolutely DISGUSTING!
