“New ownership”

Dogus C.
11/15/18

This business has changed ownership as of 2018 and they no longer sell dogs from puppy mills. The business works with responsible rescue organisations to provide pet cats and dogs for people, as well as having a well cared for selection of reptiles, aquatic critters and small birds. Excellent range and extremely helpful staff!

“SCAM do not buy”

Deb D.

Bought a toy for my dog. What arrived, without instructions, was a Microfiber Mop Ball, posted from China. It doesn't work. Just a piece of expensive rubbish. So not an Australian Company. No return address despite numerous requests even though their site says guaranteed return.

Passion for Pets Australia are the worst pet store we have. They source their puppies from puppy farms. Some puppies sold are in need of veterinary care but it is overlooked. The Carrum Downs store located in Victoria is the most shocking. The owners are very greedy people that have more interest in making money then they do in the animals they sell. Not only do they mistreat animals but they also sell at the most expensive price possible for everything they sell. They mistreat staff members and on occasion have expected staff to babysit their children at the store. They should be ashamed of themselves.

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!
We have had our Jack russell pup a month now purchased from Passion for Pets, Carrum Downs store on the 26th May. She will be 4 months old on the 1st July.
It has been fortnightly vet visits to combat roundworm with MILBEMAX. Last Saturday, 24th June, a stool sample was tested for worm eggs. Now the roundworm is eradicated but our pup now has WHIPWORM.
WHIPWORM takes 72 to 90 days to become adult in order to lay eggs etc. Which means our pup was infected through her mother, as would the rest of her litter. The mother of our pup must be so chronically neglected by the breeder to have passed on such high infestation of different worms. The store says our pup was not from a puppy farm. What's worse than a puppy farm? Breeders who don't medically care for their breeding $#*! Es in order to make a profit. The breeder of our pup is supposed to be a co-owner of the Carrum Downs store from Glenroy.
Our pup is so lucky to have been adopted by our family because her mother isn't. This past month our pup has thrived because of our care, despite the shocking lack of care from the breeder and store. Our pup needs fortnightly worming until she's at least 6 months with further stool tests.
By the way our pup"s siblings will be going through exactly the same worming issues we are.
If ever l purchase another pup it will be directly from the breeder so l can view the parents and get a full veterinary medical history.

Yes, puppies get worms and need regular treatment. This customer refused to buy the worming treatment! Refused to take it to our vet (which is clearly stated in the health guarantee which they happily signed) which had they used our vet would have been covered! Have a whinge! If you bought it from a backyard breeder, you would have been lucky if they took your call after they took your money! Your choice to use your vet! Very mature when a customer needs to vent their own choices and blame the store for it! Says a lot about your character!
