We purchased 2 square 10x10 offset umbrellas in March 2019 because of lifetime warranty. We paid $700. Well, less than 3yrs later(1/2022), one has completely torn off and the other ready too. Plus the fabric is disintegrating. I called the warranty number *******656 on 1/31 and 2/4 and also emailed to *******@patiosunbrellas.com on 1/26,2/4 and 2/15. STILL NO REPLY

We purchased 2 square 10x10 offset umbrellas in March 2019 because of lifetime warranty. We paid $700. Well, less than 3yrs later(1/2022), one has completely torn off and the other ready too. Received a dark green umbrella instead of the ordered grey one and have been unable to get the company to even respond to my issue. As requested, i have filed the exchange request by email with photo proof, which was acknowledged by automated response. Nothing since. Chatted via the chat function with josh, who said he informed the warranty department of my issue too. Two days and counting. Will now dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Do not order from this company! Low quality and the worst customer service.

Our umbrella faded (see photo) after 3 months. They wanted to charge us $40 for the umbrella to be replaced under warranty.

Ordered three umbrellas in MY, one shipped write away and was received that was great. Had to call to get other two shipped took a while but finally shipped and only one showed up. So that was June 15 still waiting with no response on third umbrella. I called email

Read what the BBB says about this place. It has an F rating! They fail to mention you (the consumer) will have to pay shipping costs-TO CANADA regardless if they made a mistake and sent you the wrong thing, the item was defective or damaged, or you just don't like it. Seems like the owner of this place is banking on the fact that it would be more expensive and more of a hassle to ship the item back so people are just stuck w/their purchase. If David Levy (the proprietor of this place) is operating legally, he's on the cusp. There are many other more legitimate places to purchase merchandise from!

The critical reviews are 100% spot on about returning issues. I wish I had checked before I purchased from Patio Sun Umbrellas

75 days after delivery, my $200 umbrella was so faded it will never last a few seasons. Sale, delivery and install went well but the product is NOT AS ADVERTISED. Save yourself some time and the landfill space and only buy Sunbrella® fabrics, because the umbrellas from PatioSunUmbrellas are NOT UV resistant.

Love value on umbrellas as they do not use UV protected material

When my umbrella broke (cord snapped, fabric tore) less than 60 days after receiving it, customer service replied very promptly: They would send a new umbrella if I paid a $40 shipping fee. I declined, not wanting to pay half the cost of the umbrella for shipping, and asked for a refund. After multiple phone calls and emails I was told that was not an option. Would never buy from this company again.

I received a DEFECTIVE ITEM (very poor quality, black marks, uneven stitching and product color not as depicted on website) but they want me to pay $40 to ship it back?! 50% of the cost of the item!

Lazy customer service. Inefficient processes. My order was out of stock (but nowhere in their site did it say it was running low) and it took 4 lengthy calls, 3 weeks to receive 1 out of 3 items. And I did not even know there were issues on the other items until my 4th call and no other resolution than a refund. Willing to bet I will have to call another time at least to see that refund and probably another 3 weeks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE. THEY ARE NOT WORTH ALL THE TROUBLE.

Tip for consumers:
Dont buy here! They are not worth all the pain after you placed that order and they already got your money.

When I looked up my tracking number, there was a place that said buyer would have to pay possible import taxes, fees from Canada. I e-mailed customer service and within a few hours, I received an e-mail back stating that there would be no fees. Everything was paid by the PatioSunUmbrellas. Very impressed with the rapid response time. Can't wait to get my umbrellas and use them!

It doesn't get worse than this. Stay away!
Crank umbrellas break after first use. They do not replace the broken one or refund the order
There is no way to call customer service only sales and they can only send them emails
Then they tell you you didn't order anything from them despite you sending a copy of the order
Really bad. Dont waste your money or time

I have received 3 new umbrellas from this company because as others have said they fade in 2 to 3 months. The other times they faded, they made me pay $50 to ship a new one to me, but as others have said, all they are doing is making you buy another cheaply made umbrella. At this point, I have asked for money I paid originally for the umbrella back, but now they are ignoring my request and not answering any of my emails. I don't want another umbrella from them. I just want my money back because their products are not as advertised.

The company should not have a return policy as its prohibitively expensive to return items. The quality of the umbrella fabric is inferior. Definitely, not worth the price! And, customer service is non-existent.

I would think twice about purchasing anything from this company!

Broke within 3 months, never left up. Was taking it down when broke. They tell you it has a full warranty if anything happens to it but what they don't tell you is that your $300 umbrella will cost you an additional $150 to get it replaced. Fraudulent is The word I would use to describe this company.

Ever since I installed the umbrella on the patio that has been the coolest place where you can actually just sit relax and enjoy though ut the summer weather. It actually fitted well in the backyard. I highly recommend you guys for your delivery it was just awesome and quick as a matter of fact. Great working with you looking forward to your services again.

They offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee because they know that you can not return it! The website makes you believe you are ordering from California. It actually comes from Canada... so if you need to do a return it will cost more than the umbrella to ship it back. They offered me a refund of 20% back but have never received it and have emailed them several times. BTW when you call it instructs you to email them and I haven't been able to talk to a live person. I would not recommend ordering from them!

I bought an aluminum umbrella from this company and they sent me a steel umbrella. I bought it to be used in my salt water pool, and it RUSTED after the first 2 days of use! I contacted the company and sent them pictures, and they INSISTED it was "as described online", even though aluminum DOES NOT RUST!

They said I could return the item, but I would have to pay return shipping to their address in CANADA - I live in Florida. I submitted a chargeback with my credit card company and it is currently being investigated. Stay away from these guys! They are falsely advertising "aluminum" umbrellas to boost their sales!

Their cheap steel umbrella also put a nice rust stain on my new deck too! Look at the pictures below.

I purchased an umbrella and it never worked from the beginning. After a few uses within a month it broke. (The string that winds the umbrella up broke in 2) I tried to contact the company for a replacement since they say all over their website lifetime warranty. They said they would send a replacement but I had to pay $40 shipping. Wow! The umbrella was only $89. So, I received a defective umbrella with free shipping but now they won't stand by their product to send me a new umbrella for free. (Which is what the website says) That's not free and that's not good customer service. Tried to call a few times, sent emails... asked for a refund and they would respond at all. I would not buy from this company. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot.
I wouldn't have given them 1 star but had to choose at least 1

I've had too many blow over cracking table glass, then later plastic. Although it looks a little fragile fabric, actually very durable. Wish there were a tie down though. Crank works fine. Size as requested. The 30 mph wind resistance is no joke.

I ordered an umbrella from this company on March 17th, 2021. On March 22nd I received an email stating that my order had shipped. After one week of not seeing any tracking information even though I was given a tracking number I called and was told that the reason there was no tracking number was that they had run out of the item. At no point during my ordering process was I ever told these were out of stock or I would have gone elsewhere. I was assured that the item would ship out this week. I sent an email to the company expressing my displeasure with the situation and nobody ever answered me. Today, March 31st, I receive a very short and clipped email that simply says "We are currently out of stock it will ship on the second week of April". So apparently the person I talked to on the phone lied when she said it would go out this week. I am so disgusted with this company. I DO NOT recommend anyone deal with them. I will be surprised if I EVER receive my item.

I purchased 2 umbrellas from this place on March 24,2020. After we used them four times (within the first two weeks) the bottoms began to rust. I called to request replacement. They stated I met the qualifications for a replacement but it would cost 40 dollars per umbrella to ship me new ones. The website clearly states that if there are any issues at all with your umbrella they will ship a new one out "free of charge." Well... after dozens of emails, numerous phone calls I cannot seem to get a response from anyone in management. I finally received a response that stated they would lower the shipping fee to 30 dollars. When I attempted to call them to pay the 30 dollars they told me it was 30 for each umbrella. It clearly does not say that in the email and they refused to stand by what they wrote saying "it was a typo." I requested to speak to a manager and after waiting for almost 5 minutes I was hung up on and now they are not answering my calls. The customer service of this place is terrible! Their warranty is fraud, the customer service is terrible, and they are not willing to stand by what THEY wrote in their email. If I could give this place negative stars I would. They do not stand by their product and I would highly recommend going anywhere but here for your outdoor needs! Terrible!

Bought two umbrellas... after 4 years, it is torn...
When I call and leave message, no one answers. When I send emails, no one answers. Promise of lifetime warranty.? Haha
Bought another from a different store.
Do not buy from this company. No service, false promises. Very sad to have a business like this get away with false statements.

I had no trouble reaching people as others had reported. They both answered the phone and responded to emails. HOWEVER, I do have an issue with the Lifetime "Warranty". All they are doing is making you buy a new umbrella at a discounted cost. My original umbrella was purchased for $210. It now sells on the site for $249. My "warranty" replacement for a faded and broken umbrella was processed for a $150 "shipping charge". Highly upset with the bait and switch. Don't go paying extra thinking you have a lifetime warranty. You don't.

Do Not Order from them! We used the umbrella twice ~ any slight wind and its like a kite blowing in the wind and even knocked people in the head. We called and they said we could return it. However, to return it you have to ship it to Canada and the cost is $300 to return a $180 umbrella, so there really is NO return. So we are stuck with an umbrella that we cannot use!
