We used Paul's Plumbing & Heating for an extensive plumbing job in our home. Paul agreed and represented (before I signed the written contract) that there would be at least 2 people working on the job and it would take approximately 5-7 days and the job would have a permit. For a job of this magnitude I insisted on a permit (also required by the city and state law.) He only had one worker on the job for two weeks although several inexperienced high school kids showed up for 2 days to "help." The work was very slow because only one person was "fishing" new pex plumbing lines when it really needed two people. Also, I found out he was working without a permit because he would not provide me with the permit or even the permit number during the job. The final straw was when he tried to run my credit card for the 50% balance of the job before it was completed. (Thousands of dollars.) Then he tried to bully me into paying him before the permit was issued. I held firm until the job was complete and I received the permit. His actions were so irreprehensible that I filed a formal complaint against the company with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department for the Construction Industries. I would never recommend Paul's Plumbing.
