I used PicMonkey for EVERYTHING. I was dreading the Dec 2020 deadline, but decided to jump in and give it a go. Got it for 35% off ($78) -- and have been tinkering around trying (and I stress TRYING) to do all the wonderful things I used to. Constantly having to refresh. Textures take eons to upload. This is just horrible and very sad to me! I miss the OLD PicMonkey more than I can express right now.

I signed up for the free 7 day trial. I didn't like the site and cancelled within an hour. Three days later there was a charge for $120 from them. My trial period had not ended and I cancelled but I was still charged. I tried contacting them and of course they used covid-19 as an excuse not to get back to you. If you notice they don't show proof of the day you signed up for the free trial. For me it was on the 8th of January.

Tip for consumers:
Do not sign up for the tree trial

With a free account, you cannot do anything you wouldn't be able to do with MS Paint and Photo. They will NEVER delete our account claiming "don't have a tool to delete PicMonkey accounts completely." even though their website says "Upon request, PicMonkey administrators can permanently delete personally identifiable information. If you are an EU customer and would like your account to be deleted, please visit your Account page."

PicMonkey has the worst customer service department I have ever dealt with. I made a mistake and opened 2 accounts, and instead of helping me correct the problem the staff ended up canceling both of my accounts even though I had paid for both and only requested the monthly account to be closed. When I let supervisor Jay know about what happened, he said he understood my frustration but now that his staff closed both accounts there was no other recourse but for me to pay for the annual account again. So, I am out $120, how is that customer service?

First off, I cannot stress this enough. NEVER agree to a free trial with this particular company, even if you plan to cancel. They will charge you for an annual subscription EVEN if you canceled on the same day you made an account. On Valentine's day, I used Pickmoney to make Twitch panels for my boyfriend. I decided to sign up for a free trial to get the most out of my experience but made sure to cancel soon after. Today (23rd), I was checking my statement when I saw a charge for $131.10 on the 21st. Picmonkey still charged me despite having canceled on the first day. I tried searching for a cancellation email but suspiciously did not receive one. Today, I canceled my subscription yet again and did receive one the second time around. Honestly, I would not be surprised if they do this on purpose to mind**** customers into believing that they did not cancel after all and to absolve themselves of any responsibility. Instead of calling customer service (waste of time), I immediately called my bank to report fraud and suggest anyone else with this problem do the same.

I have a screenshot of my account settings attached below. If you notice, they do not state the date when you first signed up for a free trial. I didn't even receive the typical "Welcome!" email on the day of.

Btw, I changed my billing address in hopes that it'll keep them from charging me in the future since there's no way to remove my card or delete my account.

Tip for consumers:
Just never agree to a "free" trial under any circumstances.

BEWARE! This company will charge your credit card for a year subscription for a so-called "Free Trial" and refuse to cancel it in spite of stating that they would issue a refund. This is a scam company.

Tip for consumers:
They offer a FREE TRIAL of Pic Monkey. They insisted on a credit card number and then charged me for a years subscription and refused to cancel the FREE TRIAL and issue a refund. This is a SCAMMER company.

In 2020 PicMonkey was my go-to for my social justice blog, podcast, and youtube channel. It had an overwhelming library to choose from. Once it was sold it seemed to become very right-leaning to the point that when I tried to find some MLK images I was given an overwhelming amount of American flag pictures.

I then tried to look up BLM which used to have a lot of variety. Unfortunately, I was only able to find one or two references which were far outweighed by the "All Lives Matters" images.

It seems as if they are doing everything they can to pretend that there is nothing wrong in this country.

I was a customer since they began many many years ago, and the new version is a GIANT waste of your time and money. Like being back in the dial up days. Customer support is a bad as it gets. Run a round's and links to articles that are just as worthless. DO NOT BUY INTO THE 'PAY FOR A YEAR DISCOUNT'. By the time you realize the program is a joke your 14 DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD is over AND THEY KEEP YOUR ENTIRE YEARLY AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR LIKE THIEVES IN THE NIGHT. Pixlr.com for the BEST editing program around with a FREE MONTHLY TRIAL.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT PAY FOR A FULL YEAR.

PicMonkey FRAUD
If I could give them ZERO stars I would. I signed up for the free trial canceled the subscription and was billed 120.00 for the full year the only option the give is to lower the plan. I don't need this service and would like it to be canceled effective today 4-21-20. I have no problem with the service being prorated but I don't want to pay the for a full year when I'm not using the service. I can't afford this with COVID-19 going on and shelter in place please cancel the service and refund my money.

I have been trying to contact you, via your support for days. Would just like to know when you are going to respond to my emails. I signed up for a trail account and I specifically asked to be billed on a monthly basis. You have charged my account for a yearly subscription. After I signed up it never worked properly, so I did not like to app. You have charged me £77. And would like to be refunded for this. I know you are going to say that I was fully aware of being charged for the entire year, but I see that many of your customers have had the same problem. They can't all be just saying this for a refund. I would suggest that you check out this problem on your website and fix the issue.

Tip for consumers:
DON'T USE THEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND USING CANVA.COM

Worst customer service EVER!

I created a trial account using a disposable email. In doing so, I had to use my credit card for the trial.

Then, I cleared my browser history, and lost access to the account as my login wasn't saved.

I went through the absolute hassle of emailing multiple parties at this company, and they kept referring me back to an email I told them I didn't have access to. I proved it was my account by showing the charge, showing a picture of my credit card, repeatedly referring to my name on the email, and repeatedly demonstrating that I was the owner of the account.

However, they refuse to help in any meaningful way. They keep referring me back to the email I have no access to, despite me telling them repeatedly i don't have access.

Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone for any reason.

Been paying member of pic monkey for many years. Once loved it, but NO more. They chugged out an overbuilt, bloated "new design' of the site. More money for them. But not enough money put into perfecting ease of use design. A p-poor rollout on flat tires.

They reduced the two inch wide picture bars that actually told you what tool each was, to a. 25" circle that is unreadable and has generic name instead of the precise names like 'ombre', 'blur' etc.

They moved everything around. NOTHING is where it once was, and features we used heavily are missing completely. The learning curve to learn this muddled site, is steep now. Suggest you pass it by completely for a site that is: a] user friendliness with all options pic monky has hidden or eliminated. B}That you choose a site that has welcoming and friendly customer service instead of snarly, disinterested people. 3} if you have a disability, seek sites that follow ADA policies [American Disabilities Act] which says that if a disabled person asks for an accomodation, a discussion will be opened to make an adaptation. Having low vision, I told a customer service man from pic monkey that the new picture headers were too small to see, [the. 5-. 25 inch circles], that the software they were running seemed not to display right on imac [ overlapping columns and text,] and that the light gray print on the site is IMPOSSIBLE to read for people who have low sight. His reply was 'That's the way it is.' End of convo for him. Really hurtful

You shouldnt have to spend more time searching and searching for tools on picmonkey than you are spending on your art. One of the MOST important features of any graphic or art apps/software, is spontaneity and flow of your execution of your ideas,.

IMO Pic Monkey took a huge greedy wrong turn in their cheap redesign. You can go back to old picmonkey on their site with incessant and irritating pop-ups that keep trying to steamroller you into "new" picmonkey, That old app works on Flash, and that is going defunct in dec 2020. So even that will be messed up st Picmonkey. They want to rake in money it appears but dont want to spend money to build competent non-buggy platforms that work for all,

Good luck; I know you'll find better; there are at least 40 other apps rated far far higher than picmonkey. Google for those.

I utilized their free trial and cancelled within the time allotted. They charged me for a full year anyhow. When looking for something else I noticed online at my credit card site that they never refunded my account. I contacted them and the credit card company. Picmonkey never emailed me a refund / cancellation statement or if they did it went into any junk folder and maybe was deleted. CC says without that they can not refund. PM refuses to do anything. As someone who was loved the Nordstrom Way and other great customer satisfaction companies I find Picmonkey's treatment of this customer and its practice to be shameless and pitiful.

PicMonkey
Is quite easy to use. The whole interface is intuitive. Anyone can use it...
However, the functionality is very limited. So what they try to charge you for what they
Offer is nothing less than ludicrous. It simply isn't worth your money. Buy some professional software instead, if you want to spend this much.
There is NO free trial (don't believe 'm!) Once you've wasted your precious time on trying
Out their online software, you're lured into a sales-funnel where you MUST
Leave your credit card details (don't!).

I cancelled my account with them in the beginning of 2018... I wanted to start their services up again around June and realized they had been charging me EVERY SINGLE MONTH since I cancelled. I let it go as it was around $50 but still emailed them as I was not happy about it. I then bought a year purchase for a project i was working on and IMMEDIATELY cancelled the renewal. I am now AGAIN getting charged after cancelling... A YEAR LATER.

Do not use this site or company. They are consistently charging fraud and I'm going to have to get a whole new credit card because of this.

I've been using PicMonkey for years. I loved it in the past, so I upgraded. It use to work great. I pay for a yearly subscription. I still love the tools BUT they're ALWAYS having issues, not working. That has been a big problem this year. I don't know why. When I try to have issues resolved through a representative, they don't get resolved. And it takes days of back and forth e-mails with them to get nowhere. One time I even had one of the representatives get pretty snarky with me. After many days, the tools start working again but they're temperamental. You have to be patient. As you use the tools, some of them take a while to apply. I have the most issues with the cloning tool sadly because it's one of my favorite tools. I use the clone tool and that just pretty much crashes it. My laptop is a fairly new gaming laptop and the diagnostic we did with the PicMonkey rep showed that it was working perfectly fine. So they wanted me to use a different browser. I didn't want to but I did. That did not resolve the issues. When I told them I just want my money back for the remainder of the year they told me no. I will not be renewing with them next year.
