I'm happy to report my experience was fantastic. I had a gift card i wanted to sell and emailed them about their negative reviews and they responded saying they are a small office and were working on improving customer service issues they've had in the past so I took a chance with them. I mailed in my card following their instructions and postage paid envelope and got a check within 1 week. Yes, they have some negative reviews, but some of the lowest ratings seemed skewed based on what actually happened. Giving them a 1 star for something they've corrected doesn't seem right. They are the highest rated overall out of all of these gift card exchange sites and now I see why! Thanks Plastic Jungle

Got a babygap gift card for a baby gift. Sold it to cashcard.com/plasticjungle.com (same company). After sending my card, they emailed me that it had a zero balance and they cancelled the transaction. That was back on 12/13. I've emailed 3 times, called (was promptly hung up on), called again and forced to leave a message. I highly doubt I'll hear back. Luckily, it was only $25 but I will never use this company again.

Got a babygap gift card for a baby gift. Sold it to cashcard.com/plasticjungle.com (same company). Biggest FRAUD on the internet. They steal your gift card and do not send any money back. Very Bad experience. They don't have the courtesy to reply to the email. There is no customer service number.

I'm so sorry to hear about the other people's experiences! I can't believe it! I have dealt with Plastic Jungle many times. I always got exactly what was expected. Perhaps the difference was that I was SELLING cards and not BUYING?

Horrible company to deal with.
They keep canceling my orders, removing some of my gift cards from cart, holding my credit hostage.
I would not recommend this site at all. Doesn't worth the hassel and time to save few percentage point.

I got my money after several hold ups. They wanted my credit card info., which I provided. I'm guessing this was in case it was a scam on my part. Well, I'm 99% sure they are responsible for the unauthorized $867 worth of purchases that were made to my credit card! The only people that have my credit card info are PayPal and this site.

AHHHH
They have absolutely no customer service.
They sold me the wrong gift card and then refuse to let me return it.
When I emailed them they just sent a very generic response that had nothing to do with my issue. I keep asking for a number and for someone to call me but they just aren't responding. I would never ever buy from here again.

I ordered an e-code gift card, on the premise that the code would be e-mailed to me within "a few minutes." It has now been over three hours and it says the code is still "pending." If I had known it would've taken this long I would never have bothered! Horrible, slow site, never using them again.

I sold a $50 gift card to them, was promised funds immediately and it has been 5 days! I have reported them to BBB, local news, and CVS.com who partnered with them. I am appalled. They STOLE $50 from me!

I tried selling $50 gift card on the site and the order was cancelled, could not get a clear explanation as to why, I asked a few friends to try and register to the site and sell their gift cards and all orders were canceled! Apparently they are tightening security measures and it is no longer possible to sell gift cards to them.

Good news for their competitors I guess. I don't see a future for this site.

I would not recommend this site to my worst enemy. I purchased three gift cards online and AFTER finalizing the transaction was informed that one of the gift cards was no longer available. However I was already charged for it and instead of crediting my account for the erroneous charge, they some how charged me twice for the purchase price! I contacted the company (via their only method, email) and received a form email in response. If this issue isn't cleared up quickly I'll have to contact the BBB (which by the way they already have over 200 complaints, should have checked that out first). To sum this up, having to deal with this company's lack of professionalism and respect for their customers negates any monetary benefits from a few dollars in savings.

I purchased a total of 10 REI gift cards from Plastic Jungle earlier this summer. Exactly half of them (5) had $0 value when I went to use them. Plastic Jungle processed refunds quickly for 4 of them (although they require you to fill in an affidavit, scan and email it - a bit of a hassle compared to, say, a simple online form). I have yet to receive a refund for the 5th card (a $100 card that cost me $83) in spite of submitting the form 2 more times and contacting customer service three times. Highly unimpressed and have no intention of doing business with this merchant again.

Can you say PEGGY! Yes, this is like dealing with PEGGY! You can talk to their "support staff" located in India and they will say you will hear from someone within 24 hours. You call back and remain in an insanity loop until you wish you never considered sending them anything but hot air which is all you will get from them. October 2011 I sent them several cards and after several months of trying to engage with them I finally wrote a threatening letter and they said, actually, we have received your cards but they will not go through so they returned them to me.
Three months, three migraines and thirty PEGGYS later, Forgetaboutit!

If I could I would give them a 0!
I placed an order with them for $3500 worth of Home Depot Gift Cards on 10/17. After numerous phone calls to confirm the order, I still had not received by order by 10/27, so I called and cancelled my order. Luckily I requested a confirmation email of the cancellation which stated by credit card would be refunded within 5 to 7 days, because the cards showed up despite my calling them again when I received another email on 10/28 saying that the card were being shipped. If you don't want to spend hours on the phone as I have, DO NOT USE PLASTIC JUNGLE!

This site sucks so bad, customer service takes way to long to respond, and i bought an ultimate game card ecode and they gave me 2 invalid codes

Don't under any circumstances use this site, it sucks big time.

I've sold unwanted restaurant gift cards twice on this site for a total of $75. After mailing the giftcards, I was promptly paid via PayPal both times.

Plastic jungle: sell a giftcard and you don't get anything in return - The website will wait to receive your card but you will never receive payment, they wait to say oh well it will be here this date and never come. They'll remove the card from your electronic wallet- so there is no longer any evidence of you owning the card. So navigate clear of this website or consider yourself one giftcard shorter.

I was scared to give my Best Buy card to them, but they took the ecode and sent me a check within a few days, of course I got the check quick since San Mateo, CA is only a 30 min drive from me, but I was pleased with the communication. I will definitely use them again. I am so happy. My best buy gift card was for $129.89 and they gave me $114.30, it was a great deal. (:

I recently got a gift card from work to a restaurant that I don't card for. Instead of giving it away I stumbled upon plasticjungle.com. It was easy to sign up for an account and I was able to trade my gift card from some Amazon.com dollars. The trade value wasn't 100% but the gift card as given to me so it wasn't a big deal. I sent the card in and a week later I had the coupon code sent via email.

This was a perfect alternative to eating somewhere I would hate.

I was really excited about this site but afraid to try it again after one bad experience. I sold them a card last year and never got my money. I verified the card balance on the phone ($25), supplied the card and pin number online as requested and mailed the cards. Couple weeks later I get an email that I have received $0 (?!) from plasticjungle.com for my card. I emailed their customer service and was told the card they received had no balance on it. Well it had the full balance right before I entered the card info on their website, so apparently someone on that either used the info or the card itself. As far as I'm concerned, they stole my card.

My only consolation is that it was a small amount, but it still stings after a year. I would never try any of the card swap services again. If something goes wrong, you're SOL and have no way of recourse.

I bought a $200 gift card from Plastic Jungle and when I went to use it the server brought it back and said there was a zero balance. I couldn't believe it. When I called customer service at Plastic Jungle the person on the line acted very uncaring and seemed irritated by me. I asked for a refund and she told me what to do so I could get it, but when I spoke to her, then later to a supervisor regarding how this could have happened to begin with, both seemed like they didn't know and didn't care to know. I will not be dealing with this company again.
