Good service for my business, use them for digital line and broadband which runs really quickly, thanks
I have to leave my contract early due to moving to a new property that doesn't have a phone line yet and have been hit by £280 early termination charges. Nothing like that in their terms and conditions and customer service who are ruthless and not helpful. Was hoping for a better way out as I understand they would have charges for leaving early but having to pay the whole contract length is unfair. I wouldn't use them again for anything.

Tried to change over to Pop. Was never given customer number or date of swap over date. Paid for modem delivery but they didn't send it after text saying problems with outreach. We decided to cancel stay with our provider. We then noticed they took a first payment out our bank it's a joke.
We was told they will send a cheque to repay the router an first payment back. In twenty eight days.
Please be aware there a two bit company that's had there family an friends rate them to get reviews.
They actually no idea how to run customer services.
I'm having ver similar experiences mentioned on previous reviews. Slug pace internet connection, the managed to flog me a new router which I obviously did need as my Internet speed is actually worse since. I would like to thank previous post as I'm not determined to expose this fake company and start legal proceedings against them. Power to the people
Worst and unprofessional company. If it was in my hand I would give POP telecom negative 100.I decided to moveI to another customer because of pop telecom worst services, Internet quality and after many compaints, we gave them notice period of one month but they immediately cut our connection and left us without Internet for a week because we could not find dates with new provider and noone called from POP telecom for apologies. We were with this ship company for 5 years.
Don't Use This Company!
They offered me a cheaper deal to stay with them but I wish I didn't.
Had continual line faults with no internet.
They then charged me £192 for a call out which only required a £1 cable to be changed.
Don't be fooled by their lower costs - value for money can be found with ANY other reputable company!
Took POP Telecom Broadband £17.99 Moneysupermarket deal then get invoices for inflated amounts router assurance and line assurance then VAT on top none of this was clearly stated or given as options. SCAM
Main problem is intermittent wifi, keeps dropping. TWO months and still they dither... asking me to do testing when it is plain as day that the router/wifi box is faulty. I am pig-sick of being their unpaid staff member because they will not send anyone out to fix the problem.
Tip for consumers:
Use plusnet - excellent though more expensive. I regret leaving them.

Terrible experience with this horrible company. They confused an elderly relative with health issues into renewing an overly-expensive contract over the phone. Then they stonewalled them during the period when it should have been possible to quit without a financial penalty, ignoring all emails asking for help. Fear of being cut-off during a pandemic deters anyone from trying to switch. So they are stuck with a pricey, year-long contract before they can leave, and who knows how easy that process will be? In my opinion, this is a pretty crooked company. Please avoid them!
Literally being robbed by this company, I have only just noticed additional charges on my account. When I tried to explain to customer services, I was told it is my own fault for not calling sooner and checking my bills. It is broadband for god sake, set price for X months.; should not be fluctuating in price each month. I will not be dropping this on principle. They guy on the phone was the rudest agent ever. Smug and sounded like was on the toilet! Horrific.

do not touch with a barge pole. Thieves at work.

Terrible customer service, bad connection and slow Internet. To stop the contract the would charge me extra money so I feel I am stuck to keep it
Do not choose
I had some very important work to do this evening and I was unable to finish it because my internet service has been absolute rubbish, This has been going on for several days. There is no way you can contact them in the evening and they have an email address but when you try to send the email you get an answer to say that the department is closed and you cannot see it. As soon as my contract expires I will certainly be leaving them,
Worst company I ever dealt with. Ordered broadband which they didn't deliver (the router), was on to them almost every day. They kept on blaming the Post. Then tried to charge for the full period (18 mths) after I cancelled the order and went with another provider, saying that the 14 days cooling off time was gone. This was despite not giving single days' service, they also cancelled my then provider leaving me without any B/B for over 2 weeks. They wouldn't address any of my emails after cancelling, only send invoices every day for about 6 weeks. I even wrote to the CEO with no reply, instead referred me to a debt collector. Wish there was a lower than 1 star to give them.
Absolute rip off company, after 5 years of being a customer all I did was leave to go to another provider which Pop Telecom made it extremely difficult to do. Then when I did finally get an agreed date of termination they then stole money out of my bank account, some weeks later, when I no longer had an active account with Pop Telecom.
Customer service staff are rude and unhelpful. They agreed to refund me the money owed and then decided without notification to reduce the amount and took 5 weeks to send a cheque to me.
I leave myself with no choice but to look into legal action against them.
Avoid this company at all costs.
Truly awful way of conducting business!
Avoid!

Shocking company. Been billing me for a number I've apparently been dialling from my landlines. Who has a landlines these days I don't even have one in my house, they can see I've never received an inbound call or any other outbound but still won't investigate it want me to do everything. I pay £60 for an engineer or need ti buy a landlines to plug in for them to call it, ask them why it needs me to plug in they could just call the number now if someone answers it isn't me therfore a crossed line no that's too much effort for then stay away don't stress yourself out avoid PopTelecom at all cost, Update 01/04 - Pop telecom confirm I'm not making the calls but won't remove the charges and will allow them to continue each month until I agree to a possible £150 fee which I may or may not have to pay even though they confirm I'm not making the calls Update 04/04 I cancelled my DD and paid my bill except the call charges they confirm isn't mine now they restricted my account DO NOT USE THESE
Worst company my contract was for £22.99 but first 2 month I was charged £28.49 then 3 months I was cahraged £24.95 4th months I was charged £30.65 I still have another 14 months to go with them my bill from £22.99 went £30.65 in just 4 months when I ask to talking to a manager they say maneger is not available

Where do i start. I started using pop telecom in 2020 i moved address due to landlord selling up. It took pop telecom months to sort my new line then the service stopped working. Took them weeks to solve the problem and they blamed the router and said i had to pay £9.99 for a new one so i canceled my direct debits as i was paying for a service what didn't work then they added £9.99 a month on extra. I got to the bottom of the problem they never told open reach i moved so my line was dead they was using my old address line. Now i told them am leaving and said i have to pay £324 to leave... say well away from pop telecom all they want is your money

Had to complain to CISAS twice
Had to complain to CISAS twice(like the ombudsman). Have finally left the company this week with no penalties due to CISAS intervention, after being with them only 4 months. Even after CISAS intervention they tried to charge me a termination fee of £115. Shocking.
Reasons - Didn't consult me that my number would change so I had no incoming calls for a month including work calls as I was WFH due to Covid at the time, no Caller display for 6 weeks and my bill went up after a month.
Decide for yourself if you want to use this company.
Extra costs added without your utter consent, misleading advertizing of "cheap" contracts where a lot of extras and charges suddenly appear from nowhere
Tip for consumers:
ask for terms and conditions and dont go for it until you get them in full particular for your contract

Diabolical. Don't touch this company with a barge pole. No customer service and will charge you random amounts. Terrible broadband.

I have had many suppliers of broadband over the years due to rising costs. I went with Poptelecom because it looked like a good deal, and paid regularly via direct debit every month. My contract was from the 04th Feb 2020 to 04 Feb 2021. Lost count how many times I was without broadband within that year. So decided to inform Poptelecom in Dec 2020 that when my contract was finished, I would be taking my business elsewhere. Bearing in mind my contract should not of finished until 04th Feb 2021, my broadband was cut by them on the 01st Feb 2021. Leaving me without broadband. I finally found another supplier and Poptelecom REFUSED to hand over the landline plus inundating me with calls asking me to stay with them. When I refused, they finally handed my landline over to my new supplier. But are now stating that I owe them £12.35 for broadband between)1st Feb 2021 to the 05th Feb 2021. And are trying even now to charge me £54.60 totalling £66.95 from 05th Feb 2021 to the 05th Mar 2021. Even though I went live with my new supplier on the 01st March 2021. Since leaving Poptelecom, I have been inundated with mobile calls, landline calls, texts, and emails requesting this money. I have informed them many many many times this money is NOT owed by me, but yet they keep on. In the end I told them to take me to County Court where I will counter claim. I have ALL my bank statements of payments and even a copy of my contract with Poptelecom. But they will not give up. I am now keeping a diary of when the contact me and how they have contacted me. And will be billing them for £40.00 per contact. My advice (take it or leave it) would be to steer clear of this company even if you have to pay a supplier a little more each month... You have been warned.

Good guys on the phone on the odd occasion I have had to speak to them
Terms and conditions have to be hunted on website and then are contradictory and unclear at best. You never pay the amount you thought you were going to each month. The 'free router' you purchase is actually on loan and you have to pay for it to be delivered to you and pay to send it back or they send a threatening letter saying they will pass your details to a debt collector. They also add insurances on for your router and landline which differ in price each month. They also make it really hard for you to leave and if you don't reply to their email which says you are leaving as they have been given new start from new provider then they cancel your new provider! They also delete negative reviews on a well known review site. AVOID POP TELECOM.
I am currently trying to get their greedy little fingers out of my bank account. Back in July 2021 I switched to another provider, the transfer was supposed to take place on the 19th of July, this was rescheduled to 22nd of July when the transfer was blocked again by POP not releasing my number.
After a rather tense phone call they agreed to release the number and not block the transfer, my service went dead on the 6th of August.
On the 23rd of August Instead of an amended bill for services to the 6th of August they have sent me a bill for services till the end of September some 7 weeks and 6 days since they stopped providing a service I. E. a normal full cost bill.
I cancelled my direct debit to them straight away, within 24 hours I received an Email from them requiring an alternative payment method, followed shortly by a "We need to speak to you" Email.
So I called them and after a rather frank and honest appraisal of their customer services department on my part the Snowfake on the other end of the line ended the call. Wind on another 24 hours and I have now received what I can only describe as a threatening letter in which they imply that "3rd party charges will be applied" for a service they no longer supply!
You can draw your own conclusions as to what that means.
Other reviews on this site mention additional unauthorised charges same here.
I cannot stress this strongly enough " Avoid any dealings with POP Telecom"
