I have travel the world. From 3rd world to Developing to Developed Countries. This is the first time that I come across a local hotel that does not allow online booking by locals and Discriminate against Nationality and Age. This is appalling given that we have finally weaned from the Days of colonial overlord where only the privileged few are allowed into clubs and establishments where signs were clearly displayed that locals are not allowed. Fast forward to 21st Century we have Reggae Mansion in Malaysia that doesn’t allow locals to book online. Further, this term & condition was not clearly displayed at the beginning of the booking page of Reggae Mansion, or very least they should provide a popup alert to steer locals away. However it is displayed at the end of the booking page where most would have missed. It is only after paying a non-refundable deposit that one realised this outrageous terms & conditions. I heard so much about Reggae Mansion along Jalan Tun H S Lee and was naively thinking of supporting a local business, alas to my dismay, my deposits were forfeited. I hope the establishment would take this seriously and refund all those like me who has been victimised for clearly an oversight of the Hotel Online Booking System.
