Had a simple towing, which turned in to a 4 hour disaster. To start took about 15 calls to speak with someone without being hung up. They sent tow truck to both wrong pick up address and incorrect drop off. I filed a compliant about a charge dispute. Instead of Safeco waiting for resolution Safeco sent my charges to a collection agency. Their focus appears to be $$$$$ not safety. Giving no stars is not an option or I would have given no stars

Beware of this company they were righteous up a policy you will pay for it in full and a week later. They will cancel it and there. Will? Be. No way for you to get your money back and if you even had a claim on a car? You. Got an erect? Good luck you're not gonna get a d*** thing for these people they are ripped off thieves

1. Overpriced and unprofessional!
2. My husband sold his 2009 truck 260k miles for the same truck/model 2018 truck 60k miles they wanted to increase my monthly insurance $50. (You would think they would want to lower it since it's a better reliable vehicle)
3. It's incredibly hard to get ahold of someone to speak to or you have to wait crazy wait times 30+ minutes to talk to a representative.
4. I changed insurance companies and was official July 3,2021 but was charged another monthly fee from Safeco on July 16,2021. When I reached out to get my refund the service agent said there was some sort of hold on my account. What hold I am unsure. However I could get it "processed faster" if I provided a picture of my bank statement. So I provided a picture of the deducted amount from their company of $189.66 from my bank account (checking). I sent a picture but had blanked out other personal information such as my checking bank balance and other transactions that I have made. Apparently Safeco wanted the balance of my checking account to "show that the money they took was deducted from my account". I find this absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional to ask for me to provide such information. This is absolutely none of anyone's business except me and my banks! Shame on you Safeco! SHAME SHAME! I will forever tell people to stay away from your business because this is not how you do business with people!

Had Safeco insurance for vehicles and home. No issues with the vehicle but the home insurance, what a joke! We have an escrow attached to our mortgage which the mortgage company pays every year. The first year went off without a hitch. This year went to hell. My mortgage company sent the check ( it was a bulk check) out on time, 30 days later it was refunded because Safeco didn't know what to do with it. A second check went out 2 days after receiving the 1st check back. Again the check was returned to my mortgage company. Their excuse this time was the mortgage company put a stop payment on the check. Seriously! Does that even make sense to anyone? When I called my mortgage company I was told it would be better if I paid the Safeco bill and they would reimburse me out of my escrow account. I did that. About 5 days later I received a refund check from Safeco stating my account was overpaid. I was told by their rep that my mortgage company paid that bill. Bull$#*!! I did not have that much money in my escrow for them to reimburse me and pay Safeco. Two days after that I receive a letter from Safeco that my account is past due. What a JOKE! Obviously they don't know what each department has done or said. We found insurance elsewhere. My advice to everyone out there.stay as far away from Safeco as possible.

I have been driving for 32 years and have always had State Farm insurance. I dropped them when they dropped my home insurance here in Florida. BIG MISTAKE - Safeco is the absolute WORST company I have ever in my life dealt with. My adjuster's name is Candace and I have left her 6 messages over one and a half weeks. Her vm states she will return calls as they are received and try to return in 24 hours. No call backs - ZERO. Her boss, Leon Havenga isn't any better. I have left him 2 messages in the last 24 hours and nothing. ZERO... my car was struck by lightening 2 weeks ago tomorrow and nothing has been done except finally, an assessment of the damage yesterday, a week and a half later. And the only way i know ANY OF THIS is because I have been calling Safeco myself daily to check. Customer Service is NON-Existent with this company. RUN RUN RUN away from them - All it would have taken is for someone to just call me back and give me some information... I guess that's too much to ask of Candace or Leon.
