“Worst customer service I've experienced in my 58 years!”

I've always heard about how good See's Candy Chocolates are. I'm afraid that I'll never know... My first order with them was yesterday, for two Christmas gifts I was buying. Two separate deliveries. When I went to their homepage, I was prompted with a notice for a Christmas special on two-day shipping for just under $10. I checked a related link and it showed ALL monetary categories fell in under this offer. So I went about making my order at 1am. After completing my order (#16490338), I found that one of the items was going to arrive AFTER Christmas. Flustered, I looked and found that it downgraded my shipping for a dollar less but the items were going to arrive late. I tried to cancel that order but their website provides no means to do so. A quick call to them confirmed that they were closed but would open again at 6am and that I could call back then to cancel. So, I made another order and this time, ensured that their special two-day shipping offer remained. Later that morning, I called at 7:30,6 hours after making my first order. Again, they were closed and wouldn't be open until 8. With projects, etc ongoing, it was 10am before I had a chance to call them back. They said that they would cancel my order since it had not been shipped yet but (it was a little odd) their rep added that it would go to a review and I would find out within a few days about my order status. WHAT?! I had just paid more for chocolate... or ANY type of candy than I had in my 58 years! The order came to just shy of $90 for two 1-pound boxes of chocolate! It was a few hours later that I received an email from See's saying that my order would not be able to be cancelled. Uugh! Now I was on the hook for almost $200 in candy which also included $40 in shipping charges! What a fiasco! I called them back asking how it was that their previous rep told me that my order would be cancelled when now, they're NOT going to cancel it. They informed me that it was already shipped. But yet, they were not able to provide me a tracking number for any of my shipments! Their rep again tried to reassure me and said that I could have my recipients refuse their shipments and See's would inform me later if they would accept the returns. He again informed me that a ship-tracking number would be forthcoming. So here I am the following day, typing this almost 36 hours after my first order with no ship-tracking number provided... for ANY of my shipments! However, they still refuse to cancel the order that has supposedly "left" their warehouse. I will NEVER order from this company again! This was my first and only time with these guys and I cannot express just how disappointed I am with their level of customer service! Please do yourself a favor and try any of the other wonderful chocolate companies out there! This is one company you will regret buying from!
