“Disgraceful behaviour”

Michele S.
2/9/23

Disgraceful treatment of a vulnerable person who couldn't afford a subscription and gave the required notice to cancel it and was then bombarded with threatening letters and a bill for £802 which I could not afford. They may be very ill

“Sky vip is a con”

Suzanne H.
10/29/22

Went on to sky vip app on my q box today to find an offer of sky multi room for £3 a month. Decided to take advantage of it and ordered on screen via the offer page. Then checked my account for order status only to find they are charging me £8 a month! Rang them up to ask them to sort it out and they said there had never been an offer for this and basically called me a liar! Absolute thieving offensive scum bags!

After 16 years being a loyal customer my monthly charges going up to,£70 per month and only having standard TV and internet I phoned up to see if I could get the price down. Went to disconnections and was told they would only offer £7 pounds off so left with £63 a month. But what really grinds is that on the Internet new customers get standard entertainment pack high speed Internet and to rub salt into the wound they included Netflix all for £37. So goodbye and good riddance you thieves.

One you are a catch in their web, it is very easy to upgrade your packets, but very difficult downgrade, plus you pay a penalty when you want to give up and the procedure is discouraging complicated.

As a loyal customer of 20+ years, how they are still trading is beyond me. Constant half-truths and broken promises from all of their "help" agents. Nothing ever done when it's supposed to be, money can't be taken quick enough, but never returned without a fight from their mistakes. Will be taking my future business elsewhere.

When leaving Sky broadband to a cheaper competitor ( of which there are several) they keep you waiting for any refund. Further as the refund shows as a credit on your next bill- even though you have left!-i have been told to contact them, weeks afterleaving, for this to be refunded.
I have written to the CEO to ask why she thinks this is an acceptable way to treat former loyal customers. Her response is that it is being dealt with by customer services, the team who advised me as above with no reply to my questions

Absolutely horrendous customer service and has got progressively worse. I have had no online account access for over a year and when I called to try and resolve that issue I'm put on hold for over 2 hrs! When I finally get connected they still can't resolve the issue and advise me someone will call back at 1 pm the next day. So I wait by the phone and finally get a call at 1.45 pm. However, that person who was very rude then wanted me to run through the entire issue again even though I had explained everything the day before but apparently that person didn't place any notes on the system. I then explained I wasn't going to do this again and I asked to speak to this person's supervisor, guess what he places me on hold! I wait for 30 mins and finally hang up and never received any call back. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and has to be the worst customer service experience I have ever had and that's saying something in this day and age. I should add that they have also had a debt collector sending me demands even though they have confirmed I don't owe them any money on some old account and then on top of all that, without any notice whatsoever they increase the cost of my sky service by 130%! I can't even find a word that could possibly convey how insane this sequence of events is, I can only lay out what happened without exaggeration and let anyone reading this imagine themselves in my position and then decide if they would like to become a customer of sky. I'm also going to file a county court claim against sky and drag them to my local county court which is clearly the only way this will get resolved at my convenience not theirs, although I suspect if let to sky it will never be resolved.

Wow! The amount of comments addressing the same issue about these sky vouchers. False advertisement as far as I'm concerned. I spoke to 12 different advisors in one day who are clearly incompetent and all they do is pass you from one to another. It takes 48- 72 hours for a manager to call you back and then when they do call you back they can't resolve the issue either and then pass you back through to someone else. Having to explain myself time and time again. I have given up calling now and will take this matter to a whole different level. The company and the employees running this clown show is nothing but misleading lying thieves!

My Sky was cancelled Sept 23 and I transfered to BT. I am disabled and find internet banking difficult. Anyway Sky was notified of the change but continued to charge direct debits until I was advised by a Charity that they were still charging. (6 payments later). Initial contact they promised me a refund, and transfered me to billing, who basically mocked me, and told me I would be refunded for April 24. (Not paid yet). I have opened a case with CISAS,The purpose of this review is to worn Sky customers, they are a nasty dishonest organisation to deal with, who cover their mistakes, I received an emal yesterday saying my account was cancelled 16/03/24, just to cover their refusal to refund.

Tip for consumers:
Sky is a massive company, with many departments, none of which communicate with each other. The only reliable about Sky is they will use every method possible to extract their customers cash.

After being Sky customers for many years, we upgraded to Sky Q. Everything seemed fine at first, but over the next week we had worsening problems with the mini box not connecting to the main box, and the mini box remote not working. We were also repeatedly losing internet on all our other devices, and suffering loss of connection between devices, where we had never had problems before. Things seemed to get worse as the days went by. My husband works in IT, and he spent many hours trying to solve the problems, but couldn't. We looked on the Sky help forums, and there were loads of other people all experiencing exactly the same problems as us with Sky Q. It seems to be a design fault with the equipment, not only does it not work properly, but it floods your home network with data, and causes problems with all your other devices. All the problems go away as soon as the Sky Q boxes are unplugged. We definitely would not recommend Sky Q!

Sky broadband has been absolutely terrible. I live in a small end terraced house which has no solid walls inside, just plasterboard walls so there is no excuse why I shouldn't get WiFi in all my rooms but for years I've struggled to get WiFi to work in all my rooms. The router could never reach my Ring doorbell even though it was literally on the other side of the wall! Over the years I've had engineers out, replacement routers, boosters sent out but I still couldn't get it to work properly. I had to resort to hard wiring my TV's to my router which looked ridiculous having wires running around my house when technology is supposed to be wireless. Even though it didn't ever work Sky still continued to charge me and they even charged me a cancellation fee so I could move to EE which now works perfectly! My advice to anyone thinking of getting Sky broadband is to stay well clear of Sky because it honestly doesn't work but they will still take your money! Sign up to EE you will not be disappointed. I have strong WiFi in every room and my Ring doorbell finally works! Good ridence Sky!

If I could give 0 I would.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!

Left my property in March. Called to cancel, they failed to cancel and instead of calling us to say it failed to cancel, they instead kept charging us till June when I called them to ask why they keep charging us. THEY THEN MAKE ME PAY £200 as fee for THEIR ERRORS. Tell me I don't need to return my box as I am no longer in the property, then now in August, I get a charge from Sky again and they say they will charge me £50 for not returning the equipment. WHY IS IT OUR FAULT THAT THEY CANNOT DO THEIR JOB!
WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD. SHOULD BE LIQUIDATED AND MY GOD NEED TO TRAIN THEIR STAFF AGAIN

Recently I stupidly tried to move my broadband and landline to Sky. I am a Sky VIP TV member for the last 20 years.
I have been promised a broadband booster to deal with the now terrible broadband, and 3 engineer visits. None have happened. Our landline has not worked once since moving over.
Since we moved to broadband, our mobile subs AND TV subs went up this week.
I am going to seek legal action.
When my friends heard I had moved to Sky, every one, without fail, told me it was a stupid idea, as they all had awful experiences, without fail.
STAY AWAY from this incompetent company.

Criticized in every single nation where it is present, because incapable of listening to its subscribers. Lives thanks to a very limited number of exclusives. Fortunately it will disappear along with traditional television.
Don't settle for refunds and don't waste time with assistance. Remember that you can report misconduct to antitrust/competition regulator: do it!

I have just had the "Sky team" in to fit the latest "Q" box! BUT even though I have been a Sky customer for close to thirty years and they have been on my roof at least a dozen times suddenly its too dangerous to go up there so I cant have the latest box at £12 pm I have to stick with multi-room at £30 (3 Boxes) pm or they tell me:
"Get a contractor in"

Before SKY we had all the sport and Movies free! Golf, Ashes, (cricket) Darts, F1, Boxing FA cup football etc etc. All free gratis and for nothing. The movies came our way after a month or two fine... then alone come Sky... We now pay for all sports, still get adverts interrupting every ten minuets and on top of that have to pay 20 quid for a boxing match! Now I paid that for twenty five years then last year if I wanted to be sure of seeing my teams I had to also buy BT or Virgin. Sky lost the Ashes coverage to BT! What the... No reduction in our fees, No sorry for not getting what I had paid for or been promised in previous years. All the sport... every England cricket match they have taken money under false pretence and we all put up with it!
