First of all you will get downvote because you are not using English, not even mention other questions that looks simple, it doesn't show the downvoter's name
Secondly all the questions, comments and answers in it are useless and worthless, all are $#*!ed students who consider themselves as some computer genius, if you have a job and you still hang around in this site you should get fired

I asked a question about a topic. This was my first question. I made a post with my error message and all of my code. It got downvoted and closed because they didn't had enough information.
I wanted to submit another question but now I am blocked for a day to submit questions.

I won't recommend StackOverflow for beginning developers since they are too strict to me.

I hope that person, who gave me a downvote, whose reality is that they can be somebody who is qualified to put down others, so that they won't have time bothering strangers at the Internet

A lot of beginner level questions in newest directions (ML, AI, image processing) simply cannot have a "minimal" code. However, moderators ban it left and right together with the users, though most of them, I believe, simply do not know the field. There must be a change of policies, otherwise this resource will lose its appeal for anyone but pro users.

This is the worst channel I have ever seen, even if it is allowed I can give - to the power of infinity.
The admin is very rude and removes any question which is asked by me. I know they might not know the answers and feel ashamed and removes the questions.

I used to use this website and got banned for reasons that still elude me... the people on this site will downvote your question for doing almost anything even if it was an honest mistake and the people in stack overflow expect you to know everything. Every time I search for an answer to a question there, all the questions that pop up are all downvoted and have salty toxic comments. I do NOT recommend this site unless you are a complete professional and know pretty much everything already. Even though they offer a tutorial on how to ask good questions, people still find ways to downvote or get mad at something you did. The one redeeming quality is that the people that answer your questions at least know what they are talking about.

Well, every time when I search for a coding problems, this site just shows me question and answer which are totally bs for the problems I met, most of them are unrelated of course, I just can't accept that when a question and answer is so exactly the problem I met, with a lot of upvotes, but it doesn't literally help at all in fact
Well, so far so fine, I will ask by myself when I meet sth, but when it comes to me, I write a question clearfully and post, sure I got my answer, but I also got some downvotes, am I happy? Surely not, just who th are those worst skunkiest anonymous bs? Who gave them the right to downvote whatever they don't like? Are they genius who have already known everything immediately after born? Just why do they have the right to downvote whatever they don't like at any aspects they ever think, as "This question does not show any research effort; it is unclear or not useful", so subjectively, I mean maybe it's just because it's not the question they need or they can make money with, or those bs have known it a little early before, however you can't be sure that someone else, even though only one people, may need it badly, isn't it the common sense for every one?
And since that, stackoverflow, you have so poor diversity of questions stack, and so worst quality of answers, why do you even allow those vicious anonymous bs downvotes exist to somehow dictate an open forum? At least show us the downvoters' usernames to let us know just how few questions they have asked or how bs that themselves or their lives truly literally awfully really are!
The one star is for the opposed opinions here against stackoverflow, you are undoubtedly the heroes or heroines

I asked just a question about possible little task automation! Also this is the first ever question that I'm putting there! Also it got downvoted for no reason! Also my question was edited quickly (removed the word PLEASE - I wanted to be polite). I also received a comment from someone (extremely high reputation person). Comment content: link to a basic instructions - no any answer to my quiestion. A YES or NO would be just fine for me. So people... don't waste your time on that website!

Great bunch of sites for every argument you could be interested in.
Very good community. But poor staff & moderator team. The staff should keep an eye on the moderators; instead, the staff is too poor, they earn good money but don't want to spend any, and let the community moderate by itself. It does work generally, but more effort should be employed.

As many have pointed out, you ask a question which isn't perfect, it immediately gets closed. You make the corrections they ask for, nobody ever bothers to open it. So you make another, better post, this time it's perfect! Nope, 'This is a duplicate', instantly closed. Now the old one is closed and being ignored and the new one is closed. If you ask, politely, what the problem is, you just get condescending replies explaining that your question wasn't good enough. You ask more questions, you're just ignored. Treated like dirt for asking a question basically.

It's a disgrace since it's hard to find help anywhere else because this place is where most people go. So us noobs are forever stuck. 24 hours later and I'm still searching for alternative forums and trying to fix the problem myself but not getting very far. This is a huge block to learning.

The community is just a bunch of heartless people, who just complain by saying things like "Oh, you haven't laid your question out this way, read the rules". It seems like they never know the answer, because they just skim over your question, and then complain. However, some people give you the answer and suggestions, while others just complain. I must say, I haven't got an answer for a good 2 months, instead just hateful comments.

HOWEVER, the solutions are very helpful at times. But, I would not recommend this site. I would recommend something like Codeproject, or Daniweb.

I was on Stack Overflow for 15 years and had 12.5k reputation. Then some $#*!heads piled on me with disrespectful uninformed downvotes, I told them they were $#*!heads, and now I don't have an account. You have to be allowed to tell people when they're being $#*!heads. Otherwise a site can't be considered reliable.

Short Review:

StackOverflow has minimal assistive capabilities. The users on it will mock you for not knowing something. They will then give you 'answers' without explaining how it works. And then they will have you bullied off the site via negative reports. Alongside some good old fashion mockery of course.

I would not suggest the use of this site.

In-Depth Review:

I have asked three questions on StackOverflow in the past month. Resulting responses led me to believe that it is is a helpful site, but it has ineffective moderation. This causes it to be an ineffective site.

My first question, asked to assist in a personal project, got deactivated immediately. After reading their response, I understood how to do better. "Your question is unclear, did not provide enough information, and is now not posted." Understandable, I asked it without any editing or true thought, so I began to edit. After ten to fifteen minutes of editing, I had a new question. It provided information and explanation well enough to recreate the issue. After grammar checking and making sure everything was right, I was ready. I submitted it, and waited for my question to be re-opened. I waited for over an hour before I relented to the system and removed the question. Shortly after this, as I tried crafting a new question, I learned that I has a temporary ban on my account. No longer was I allowed to ask questions until my time was up. Only a day, so I waited, eager to get an answer to my question.

Question two was a revised version of my first question. Much more detailed, backed with hours of attempts to fix it. That day allowed me to have time to test and retest. I was able to provide much more information than previous attempts. All was ready, and I submitted the question with confidence. This time, I would not have to retry, this was it, my answer. I did not get removed, but neither did I get an answer. The first 'answer' was in the form of a comment. A link to another question that had an answer. How useful, and so fast! But no, the question that the link led to was not the same as mine, as described by my question. After a few comments back and forth, I ignored the comment and comment sender. The next answers were all based on prior knowledge of coding, something I have none of, and so helped little. Finally, I got an answer and explanation that helped. Success! If you don't count the hours of people mocking me in pseudo-helpful comments and answers. Or if you don't count the standing -2 report my question has. Oh joy.

My final question was a debugging question, my program was ending before it was suppose to. In short, my code was not completing, and I needed it to or the system would not work. I supplied the part of code that was ending my program, and asked for help on how to fix it. Alongside it, I provided other bits of code, explaining how I tried fixing it. Along with that, I supplied how I attempted to go around the issue, and other bits of information. Within moments, I received 3 negative reports, and I received a notice. "Your question is unclear, did not provide enough information, and is now not posted." The same as question one, almost to the letter. [Question 1 and Question 3 removal reasons edited to make simpler]. To end off this circus act, I removed the question, and received a notification. You've earned the 'Peer Pressure' badge. I received an award for removing a question that got -3 reports. That is insanity.

In all, I have the need to suggest in a strong manner the following:
- If you use StackOverflow, be careful to follow their rules.
- I would not suggest using this site. It is full of toxicity.
- This report comes from my desire to help everyone have a helpful experience on the internet.

To close up this review, I would like to clarify one more thing. Not everyone on StackOverflow is a toxic or inadequate. I wouldn't say anyone is inadequate, but their service is. Please do not spread hate to these individual users, but exercise caution when using it. Stay safe, and stay informed!

Tip for consumers:
StackOverflow is a toxic and generally unhelpful site, and I would not recommend using it for your programming questions.

Rather than some people at Stackoverflow AI doesn't judge your questions or, worse, make you feel like a complete idiot for asking.
It just provides you with code that can either help you to find the right direction or solve your coding problem right away.

If you just want answers, StackOverflow can be brilliant. Go on and browse until your heart is content.

However, if you want to be part of the community, get your battle gear on because this place is incredibly nasty! The trolls on here are not like those on Facebook or other social media platforms (and whether SO like it or not, they have enabled the site to become a glorified social media site for techy trolls). What seems to be a sizable portion of Users are really horrible, angry people, who are set off by the most trivial of things. They are akin to that a'hole in the bar who starts squaring up to you with "are you looking at me?!". This is SatckOverflow!

However, as with all a'holes they take their lead from somewhere, and that lead is from SO themselves. Throughout the site you can see high levels of obnoxiousness and arrogance. All in all one could strongly argue that the problem with SO is that the people who own and operate it are total a'holes themselves.

You don't even need to take my word for it, here's an article from SO themselves. The fact that it's over two years old and obviously had no impact says all you need to know about StackOverflow: https://stackoverflow.blog/2018/04/26/stack-overflow-isnt-very-welcoming-its-time-for-that-to-change/

So, I asked as a start Go developer a interesting question about a possible problem with the source code, and I've put code examples, and enough information about the memory leak I might have found, and tried to solve this, with no solution available, and thus I tried Stack Overflow for the first time.
Sadly, it was immediately responded with a non-answer that didn't help at all, and other people who seem to be "staff", have ridiculed my question, and when I "answered" on a existing question that was linked to from my original question, I was slammed down with downvotes. This platform is not social, people are pretty anti-social when it comes to new people, and I finally found a better response on Reddit. Too bad, I used Stack Overflow for my beginnings on GoLang, but with this experience, the site didn't help much.

Great source for programming answer on just about any language, however, if you are just starting to learn programming I would not advise coming to this site to post any form of question. The community is not welcoming, granted there are few that are willing to help, but the vast majority take pride in berating the post owner.
