Had two items appraised by this group. One was way higher than expected, while the other was much lower. However, their explanations were very thorough, realistic and made lots of sense.

I was left 2 beautiful French chairs. But had no idea of authenticity or value. So I googled how to find value. Value My Stuff popped up. I went to site, seemed easy enough and price to value was very reasonable. I took and uploaded many pics. Within 48 hours I had a detailed appraisal and certificate. It also asked if I wanted to auction them but I didn't check that part out.

The response was quick, thorough and professional. The reviewer explained the value of the piece, as well as some of its historical significance. Will definitely use them again!

After seeking multiple appraisal requests through this portal, I find that some are rather informative, while others don't tell me any more than I already found online. There is no consistent format in reporting among respondents. When seeking information about antiques, I am particularly interested in knowing origin, estimate age, and value.

I was shocked on the appraisal value of the painting since I only paid $30 for it about 10 years ago. Crazy.

The gave me an appraisal of $550, several local gun dealers had already offered me in excess of $950! Obviously the gun dealers would want to sell it at a profit so I'm sure the real value is well more than double, probably triple what ValueMyStuff appraised it at. Apparently their appraisers are not familiar with older firearms

I ordered a valuation/appraisal. Although I was not aware that it was ready for download, after getting a confirmation message via email, I went to the site and discovered it was finished. Thank you for the report and I look forward to seeing if I can sell it.

If I went with my item to the Antique Road Show, the Appraiser would tell me a story about the item, sometimes an entire history. I checked on Chat GPT4 and I got what I wanted. From VMS I received a bunch of Paper, something what the watch already told and shows me, with an approximate amount the value of the watch. One Paper of the was something about the watch. The rest were only legal stuff and their policies.

I got what I needed the value and what I wanted and I am fine with that.

ValueMyStuff provides a unique service, a fast and easy feel for the value of something. Apart from an easy valuation for insurance purposes, typically, the result determines whether or not one wishes to go further, to sell the article. The alternative is to take the article in person to a valuer, auctioneer, perhaps someone who may have a vested interest in buying what you may have and so not give an accurate figure.
