“Not worth the headache!”

In my opinion, Viagogo Australia is not worth your time (and mental health). They sold my tickets for the Backstreet Boys in 2021 and they kept my money with them. There were 9 work days after the concert and they still do not process my payment. What a headache! Order No. 24963339

The site does not say it is a reseller site and is misleading buyers as selling genuine tickets. The tickets I bought are in someone else's name. I have been charged $27 extra on $82 tickets. I was not aware that they are a reseller website or would've not touched them with a barge pole. Very disappointed. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. I would imagine it falls very much within the false claims made by travel Websites in the UK to dupe consumers.

I was sent to this site via a link to get tickets to Madness at the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney. It was apparently a pre-sale on the 15th Feb. Prior to this I had never heard of Viagogo. So stupid me, I logged on the presale day, changed the currency to $Aus and purchased 6 Madness tickets for $150.00 each. A little pricey I thought but hell, it's Madness! By the end of the transaction, the amount paid came to just over $1200! They add hidden fees and a $200 handling that you only see on your payment summary. The transaction also went through in Euros so I also got hit with a bank conversion fee that took my total costs to $1300! To make matters worse, I found out afterwards that tickets are actually $101.50 and I could have got them from Ticketmaster after all! I have tried to contact them and question them but I haven't found any successful route yet! Now, after reading all the previous complaints about Viagogo I am absolutely scared to death that we will show up with our tickets in hand only to be told that they are actually fake. Please, just go through the usual channels, don't use Viagogo, whatever you do.

Bought 2 tickets to Book of Mormon in Melbourne. Paid over $100 in booking fees that they didn't tell you about until your payment approved. Altogether 2 tickets came to $514.90 which wasn't too bad as I requested the unrestricted expensive area which they advertised. After receiving my tickets I realised that they were tickets in the restricted section of the Theatre, not the ones advertised that I thought I was buying (aka they were the worst seats available). DO NOT trust them. I am still waiting for a refund. The phone number available [(02) 8318 0255] only allows you to speak to someone if your event is in 72 hours. Very hard getting a clear response back via the contact support page. I am specifically flying to Melbourne to see the show to make matters worse - so if anyone can recommend a good Bar I can visit in Melbourne to drown my sorrows in - hit me up.

Ordered and paid for tickets for Paul McCartney in his one-to-one concert upcoming in Brisbane Australia. Paid $500 for tickets worth half that but was happy to do so as I'm in my 60s and want to see Paul in concert again. It was only after reading all the critical reviews about viagogo that I started to worry. Lucky for me, I got an e-mail from viagogo to tell me that whoever was selling the tickets through them didn't have any. The e-mail had a link to the options that were now available to me. Naturally, at the top of the page were offers for alternative tickets for the same concert but at much higher prices. Thinking this could be a bait and switch routine, I scrolled down the page right to the bottom... and my luck was in because in small print was a REFUND option. I clicked it and two days later my credit card was refunded with the full amount. Thank goodness for automatic systems that viagogo seem to rely on. But, reading all these other reviews, I'm wondering how long it will be before this refund option is no longer available. In most countries is illegal to take money for goods that you do not have and viagogo did not have any tickets when they took my money. I have reported them under Australian Consumer Law but I doubt it will change their behaviour. For those who do not know, viagogo has an address in Switzerland where documents can be served on it. Their CEO is called Eric Baker and the company name and address is:
Viagogo AG
Rue de Lyon 109,
CH-1203
Genève, Switzerland
