I must say that I met the love of my life in Jan 2019. She was a teacher from Dong Thap. We recently just broke up due to the uncertainty of Covid and just too much worries due to her age and family demands. Eventually, she married a guy from her town. 2019 was beautiful, we were on the verge of marriage March 2020 only for Covid to disrupt everything. I was fortunate to have met some genuine girls, educated, and fluent in English. There were 1/2 that was straight into "send me 1000 USD", these individuals are the one who give the bad name. To be fair, most girls on the site are genuine, I've chat, met and spoke to them, even sometimes verify their identity.
The site just charged my credit card without my authorization. They debited VND 1,000,000 subscription fee through a card manual entry today, 21/04/2023. I didn't save my card details on the website, I didn't set up any auto renewal. So they manually retrieved my bank card details from their system from a one-off one month subscription payment I made in January 2023 and they manually charged my card for VND 1,000,000. I never authorized the transaction.

Intentions must be right. Only use the site if you are genuinely interested in settling down and having a family. Vietnam and Viet girls are amazing when it comes to family. Though there is a concern especially on LDR. Casual sex isn't a taboo. Unless you genuinely get a honest girl, which do exist then go ahead. Otherwise, if you are looking for hookups and ONS, bugger off!
This review is more towards some Vietnamese woman ethics. This person use DateInAsia and now VietnamCupid. My experience: she pretended to be nice since 1st day you meet her, sex 1st date, treated you súper nice asking for money and support. After many months continue support her until corona crosses. After 2 Years of relation, she decide to take a break, next day she posted a new name and profile looking again for a serious relation. I word of warning, don't be fooled. They are Masters how to cheat. Even I spent nights in his house and his son when I visited her before Coronavirus. She stealed on top of that 20,000usd I tranfer to buy a new place for living. Her name en VietnamCupid Thanh Truc, her real name Thi Pham Thi Thanh. She is living in Nha Trang. Hope helps

I had this for a while and I was noticed after some scam email with never existing members. And to make the "service" worst they charge with a "better" scam option that provides nothing.
Suggest to stay away of this site.

As if thats not enough, they want you to effing pay for giving them your data and track everything you do on their site. W. T. F. Oh, and one last thing. There isnt the ability to perm delete your aacount once you sign up. Oops. You can only "switch off" your account. Scary. Stay away.

VietnamCupid offers free membership and paid membership. By charging for a premium service we are able to invest in providing a high-quality experience across app, mobile and desktop and spend money on advertising which allows us to provide a large number of members for you to communicate with.
I've gone back and forth via email with Customer Support as they do a poor job at answering your specific questions. They only copy and paste generic answers it seems.
I paid for 1 year of subscription and a month later I asked them if wish to temporarily switch off (not delete) my profile what will happen with the rest of my unused time. The reply with cookie-cutter answers which leave me just as confused or worse than before.
I am ok with losing the time while my profile is switched OFF but I don't want to lose any unused membership time if I want to come back later and switch my profile ON again. This shouldn't be too difficult to clarify. Right?
I hope they see this and can clarify here.

Upon checking my emails I saw that an account had been created on this website under a different name, upon me changing the password to access this account and delete it because I haven't created this account, I see that the account has been terminated. People please be aware that the people you are trying to match with and message might not be who they say they say they are. I haven't been able to view this account that's been set up under my email so I don't even know if my pictures have been used or not! So please please be careful when online dating as the person might not be who they say they are.

The site falsely presented my birth year as 1973 when, in fact I was born 1959. The result was a lot of much younger women showing interest. When I tried to correct this I was not permitted without presenting my drivers licence passport or Security card details including a current photo. NO WAY! I wrote my requirements in Vietnamese but the women either didn't bother to read it or just weren't able to read it.

Good site, just poorly organised
Signed up on vietnamcupid and within 2 days went for the membership option which was deducted immediately (within 1 minute) from my bank account.
Once i wanted to get in contact with girls my account was suddenly blocked due to "suspicion of fraudulent payments".
To make sure that this isn't a fraud I should send a scanned copy of your credit card AND a copy of your government issued photo ID.
They are not telling you this beforehand but after they received already the money.
I complaint and got almost! All my money back.
This experience felt like a scam to me!

I was skeptical at first with the high membership fee's. After all, there have been countless other dating companies that claim if you pay money, your results with women will greatly improve. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I started to get messages from girls on my first day of joining VietnamCupid. The quality of the girls I found to be quite good and most of the girls are serious about dating, unlike some of the other popular dating apps where the girl is just looking for attention or using the men to practice English.
Over a short period of time, I was able to go on many countless dates with many different pretty Vietnamese girls. On average expect to receive between 10-20 messages a day! Coming from a western country, this is completely unheard of, where if your lucky, you might get table scraps from western women. Most of the girls on VietnamCupid are pleasant to deal with and getting numbers is easy peasy.
After going on many countless dates, I was finally able to find a nice conservative cute Vietnamese girl that was compatible with me. We have been dating for 5+ months now and still going strong.
I know the high membership cost can be off putting for some people, but don't be skeptical about the website, it really does work and is worth the return on investment!

200%scam they only want u to spend moneys on service n all members are fake. Recieving n send message will cost money. N members will not give contact information like Facebook n IG so u both can save money n only pay VietnamCupid some fee
They chose to charge me 2 times for a 1 time only temporary subscription. Buyer beware! There low reviews are there for a reason & now I have to dispute the charge

I was amazed by the REAL reactions on this site and I told in my first review I would leave a reaction with a picture if the lady would agree. Most of the people in this site is real people. Profiles are mostly real and pictures are real. Signing up is free and browsing is free. This is fine and so far it's good. Now the problem with this site is it's not honest. They use people's profiles and randomly message you, pretending to be that person. You'll get random messages and likes from people but you cannot communicate with them until you upgrade.
This is how they get you. Although I've met a lot of real people and friends on this website. A lot of the people I wanted to talk to, who messaged me first, never responded. Some responded and literally said, "I never sent you a message I don't know why that message sent to you." If you pay attention many people message you with the same or similar copy/paste type responses. And when you reply you don't get any response.
Conversely, my profile have replied and messaged other people without me doing it. This can become awkward AND time consuming. You have to explain to them that you didn't send the message or ignore them when they think you're interested.
In summary, the site uses people's profiles to send messages to each other in hoping someone will upgrade so they can communicate with the other person. This is pretty shady and shallow and a reason I knocked down two stars and will not be using this site again in the future.
